A platinum blond boy was crying on his bed on July 1, 1993. He was crying because his parents were fighting and they didn't understand him. He sat sobbing on his bed until his mother called for dinner.

"Draco, come for supper." He quietly walked toward the dining room and sat at his place at the table. No words were spoken during the meal. Draco was excused and went to his room. He sat there thinking to himself. He felt very introverted, like he was alone. He decided to go to the kitchen for a small snack before bed.

When he reached the kitchen, or the cooking chambers as he liked to call it, the house elves were cleaning and preparing for bed. When they saw Draco enter the room they immediately stopped what they were doing and in sync said "Master Draco, what would you like?" He sneered at them and grabbed the first thing he saw, a green apple.

But this was no ordinary apple, this was a magic apple. On the way to his room, Draco looked admiringly at the apple and polished it. When he got there, he was fully prepared to eat it. He brought the apple to his lips and began to dig his teeth into the smooth flesh of the magnificent apple. But before he could do much damage, he heard a small cry.

He pulled away, looking around in a confused manner. He heard the light, airy voice cry out again, barely making the words out. "Please, please do not eat me." He looked at the apple curiously. He almost asked it a question, then he felt very dumb. Apples couldn't talk, Draco knew that. He also knew that someone could enchant almost anything to do almost anything. But he didn't understand why anyone in his house would want to charm an apple to talk.

The more he thought about it the more he got confused. He even wondered if someone had used the confundus charm on him. Eventually he came to the conclusion that, for some strange reason, someone had enchanted the apple to speak.

He opened his mouth to ask the apple who had charmed it, then closed it again quickly. What if a house elf heard, or worse his parents? If he was wrong about this they'd surely send him away to St. Mungo's.

After a while, he finally decided to take a chance and talk to the apple. "Um... Who ch-" he was interupted by an owl swooping into his room with a letter. The sudden action spooked him and he jumped. Apparently it spooked the apple too and it let out a high pitched scream.

He looked at the apple in surprise, but also in releif. He was glad he wasn't just delusional, or maybe he was, but he didn't care, beacuse he had finally found a companion. He looked at the letter quickly and saw it was from his friend Nova.

He opened the letter and started to read it. Before he could finish the first paragraph, he heard loud footsteps rushing towards his room. He immediately shoved Nova's letter in his school trunk and threw the apple on his bed. In what seemed like lightning speed, Draco grabbed some summer homework and began to do it.

His father came into his room with a face full of rage very prominent on his pale features. Draco struggled to think of what happens when you fail to wear propper gear when handling a mandrake. He unfortunately snatched his herbology parchment, his worst subject.

Lucius yanked Draco by the ear and pulled him up next to his face. Lucius had to bend down a little, because Draco was not tall enough to reach him yet, only being 13. He got up close to his sons face, breathing the same breath, seeing nothing but the pale green eyes that were clouded with fear.

"What is happening in here?" He said in a threatening voice. "I- I don't know what you're talking about father." "Don't pull that with me Draco! What was that noise?!" He, at last, let leash his anger with sound, yelling so loud that Draco thought that the house was shaking. "Uh..." He stuttered glancing at the apple, not sure if he should tell the truth and get his only companion in years stripped away from him, or lie and get the life beat out of him.

But, to Draco's frustration, his gaze did not go unnoticed by his father. Lucius walked briskly towards the apple and grabbed it painfully hard. "Help! Help!" The apple screamed. He stared at his dad trying to see what he was going to do.

Nothing happened.

Lucius spun the apple around in his hand, finding nothing out of the ordinary, brought it to his mouth to take a bite. But before he penitrate the skin another owl swooped in, taking the apple with it.

Apple landed in Draco's arms and the letter in his desk. Lucius snatched the letter and began to read it. After a few short moments, (though seeming like hours to Draco) he looked up and glared at his son. He ran forward and snatched him by the hair and pinned him against the wall.

"Who is Druna? Is she your girlfriend?" Draco was terrified. "No, she's just a freind." Though even in this time he thought about her amazing beauty and how he wouldn't mind her being his girlfriend one bit. "Oh... Friends with a Ravenclaw how nice! Are you friends with Hufflepuffs too, and the Gryffindors?" "No, father."

Lucius began to beat Draco menacingly and ferociously. Once he was done he sneered at Draco.  "How are you my son?" He said. "Friends with a Ravenclaw! Are you friends with muggles too? And mud-bloods?" "No, sir." Draco replied. "Druna is a pure-blood." His father seemed that this was an appropriate enough answer to leave.

Long after he left, somewhere around 3:00 am., Draco sat down next to Apple and began to speak to her. He told her about everything. About how he had been abused since he was a young child. About his friends at hogwarts. His life, pet peeves, his first girlfriend, how unending Pansy Parkinsons annoyingness was. He told Apple about his Ravenclaw friends Druna Stone and Nova Hart. How he didn't understand how either of them were sorted into Ravenclaw. He told her that he was glad he had finally found an aquaintance.

He had discovered that his father could not hear Apple, and assumed only he could hear her mystifying voice. He decided that Apple needed to be with him forever. So he went to his bookshelf and looked in the dark magic section. After searching for hours and coming up with nothing, Draco took Apple and escaped into the study. He looked up dark spells for a very long time. He eventually found the one that he wanted.

He went back to his room and practiced the spell, he figured that he'd only have one shot. He took Apple and asked if she was okay with this. "Yes, Draco, I trust you with my whole life." Draco, for the first time in a very long time smiled. He really liked the way that Apple spoke to him, he loved her angelic voice and her ravishing green skin. He felt like if it was possible to fall in love with an apple than he already had. But he knew that that wasn't actually possible.

He took his wand and waved it as he muttered the spell and aimed it right in the center of Apple's beautiful figure. After he finished the spell, he asked Apple if she thought that it worked. "I know that it has Draco. I knew that it would. I know that I will live for as long as you do. I will only die when you die. I am very excited for our future adventures together."

Everything was going smoothly, after Draco performed the spell on Apple that made her live as long as he was alive, his mother called for breakfast. As it was 9:00 am. And Draco unknowingly spent the entire night with Apple.

He ate breakfast with his mother, who was much nicer to him than his father. He talked to Apple for a while and replied to Nova and Druna's letters. He decided to tell them about Apple, because they seemed like the kind of girls that would accept him. They sent back letters saying how cool that was and their congratulations on making a new friend. Even though to Draco, Apple was already more than just a friend.

Soon it was lunch time and his mother called for him. "I'm sorry, my beautiful Apple." Draco spoke apologetically. "You will have to stay here until I finish lunch." Everything went well until he got back to his room. He smiled at Apple and was about go speak to her when he heard his father yell at him.

"Draco!" Lucius yelled incredibly boomingly. "Come here right this instant!" Draco immediately ran to his father. He found him in his study and automatically got nervous. What if his father found out about what he was doing with Apple.

Lucius struted up to Draco and smacked him in the face hard enough to break bone. He screamed at Draco about being in his study and reading his books and not asking permission to be in there. He repeatedly slapped Draco with a gigantic hard-back cover book. He sent him to his room and told him not to do it again. When Draco reached his room he plopped down on his bed and sobbed hysterically. He grabbed Apple and wiped his tears on his shirt and hugged her as tight as he could. After a while he finally stopped crying and stared at Apple's beautiful exterior.

It was silent for a while, just Draco and Apple staring at each other. Draco was falling for her and he could tell. How can someone fall in love with food? He didnt know. He just knew that he did it. He also thought about how he couldn't handle the pain his dad put him through daily. "Apple." He choked her name out, surpressing a sob. "Oh, Apple." He said her name so lovingly. He could hear it in his own voice and was scared what she would think if she noticed. "I don't think-" he was cut off by himself, crying clutching Apple in his skinny arms. "Apple..." he sobbed for hours holding his love in his arms. "I don't think that I can do this anymore." "Yes you can, Draco." Apple said encouragingly. "Just one more day. Say that everyday and you'll be okay." Draco realized that she told him to lie to himself. But he also knew that it would work. "Thank you Apple. Will you stay with me for all this time?" "Always." Apple replied sweetly before both fell asleep cuddling on Draco's bed.
