"Your girlfriend must be so lucky."
I said, as my voice cracked a little.

"I try my best." He smiled.

"We're here. I need to go. Thank you so much for driving me here."

"Anytime." He smirked.

I instantly got out of the car, running towards the small noodle shop.

"HellosirIwouldlikesweetchickennoodlesplease." I held back my tears to keep a little bit of my dignity.

Why do these sort of things always happen when it's that time of the month?

I payed for my noodles and sat down, stirring them with the chopsticks.

I lifted my head up to see a boy and a girl sitting two tables ahead of me.

They were sharing noodles, and looking at eachother in a way that I can't really describe.

Lucky them.

When I finished eating, I decided to go walk a little bit.

The rain had stopped, and all of the shops were already closed.

It's already 11 pm. Damn.

It's amazing how time flies when you're with someone you haven't seen in forever.

I walked, staring at my shoes. Some sort of habit I've always had.

I stopped walking when I spotted Taehyung and... well, the owner of the rose bouquet.

Taehyung hugged her like they haven't seen eachother in ages.

That should've been me.

He handed her the bouquet with a rectangular smile.

I bet it's what he uses to get girls, that cocky smile.

His girlfriend was rather short, much shorter than him.
She had bleached blonde short hair and was wearing a mini skirt, which was not suitable for that kind of weather.

"Babyyy thank you~" she said, doing aegyo.

Gosh I already dislike her.

They both walked away, hand in hand.

Cute.

I took the bus home, and thought about something.
Once I arrived, I took my keys and discreetly opened the door.

My mom has severe insomnia, so she was awake watching some drama.

"KISS HER ALREADY, PARK JOONSUK!" She whined.

I quickly put the flowers on the kitchen counter, in hopes of her not noticing me.

"You're home quite late, but I forgive you. These flowers are beyond beautiful." She smiled.
I turned to see her admiring the small flowers.

"Mom, is grandma's apartment still available?" I rushed, hoping to make her forget about me coming home late. I've been meaning to ask her this for a long time anyway, so now was the occasion.

Her smile disappeared.

"Why are you asking that? Are you thinking about leaving the house?" She frowned.

I sat down next to her.

"Maybe."

"And why is that? Aren't you happy here with your beloved parents?"

"I am. But I feel like I'm old enough to get my own apartment. You know, so I wouldn't bother you guys and have more freedom."

"Honey, it's an old and small place to live in, you won't be comfortable." She sighed.

"I'm all alone."

"What if something bad happens huh? You're not responsible enough Chin-Hae."

"My friend Namjoon lives in the same building."

"Are you ready to live on your own?" She asked.

"I like being alone. I came alone back home at almost midnight." I shrugged.

"What were you doing?"

"You ask too many questions."

"I will have to talk about this to your dad, Chin."

I rolled my eyes.

"I'm sure he'll be cool with it."

The next morning

I woke up to my dad throwing an entire glass of water on my face.

"DAD WHAT THE FUCK." I said, punching his shoulder.

"Little spider, I've been trying to wake you up for ten minutes! It's 1 pm!"

"Let me sleep and die." I said, pulling up my sheets full of water.

"Would you get up if I said yes?"

"Yes for what?"

He raised an eyebrow.

"Oh ma gawd THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" I hugged him, getting his shirt wet too.

"On one condition."

Lord I hate his 'conditions'.

"You'll have to keep an eye on Nah-ri."

"Who the fuck is Nah-ri? Dad, the last time I babysitted I..."

"She's about your age. The daughter of some family friends. Lately she has been drinking and going to night clubs a lot. Since she lives two blocks away from the apartment, your mother and I thought you could help. Her father organized a cafe date for you two to become friends. She must not find out that you're keeping an eye on her. You must be a good influence. And plus, her family helped us so much in ways that you can't understand for now. Deal?"

"I have no choice right?"

"That if you don't want to live with your old mom and dad."

"Deal then."

"Ooh I almost forgot, you're meetin her in 30 minutes. Get ready."

"NOW YOU TELL ME?"

"You wouldn't wake up."

I rushed to the bathroom and showered as fast as possible.

Who cares about my hair, I just left it in its bed state.

I put on shorts and a sweatshirt, and ran down stairs.

"You look like shit." My mom said, with her mouth full of rice.

Mom goals am I right? Ugh.

"Geez, thanks mom."

"At least put on some lip gloss! Wait..." She wipped off lipgloss from her lips with her fingers to put it on mine.

"Gross, that's why I wanna leave the house."

I opened the door and got out, when I heard my mom clearing her throat behind me.

"Are you planning on going there barefoot?"

I looked down at my feet. I wasn't wearing shoes.

"Ugh, that."

I grabbed a pair of high red converse and kissed my mom goodbye.

In the bus, I noticed people giving me 'the look'.

I took my pocket mirror out of my hoodie's... well pocket, and checked my hair.

It looked like a birdnest had formed into it.

"Shit." I cursed, searching for a hair tie.

I had none.

"Shit." I cursed again.

I looked around to see a boy sitting next to me, eating noodles with chopsticks.

I waited for him to finish his food when I finally asked: "Mind if I take one of those?"

He looked at me, confused, but still handed me a chopstick.

It was full of soy sauce.

Gross.

I cleaned it with a tissue and pulled my hair up with it.

The boy looked at me like I was crazy.

"Yolo." I smiled awkwardly.

The bus stopped just in front of the cafe.

I heard a girl calling my name.

"Chin-Hae! Chin-Hae! It's me Nah-ri!"

I turned to see a short girl with short bleached blond hair.

No way.

+

"So you're Nah-ri?" I said, sitting down.

"And you're Chin-Hae. I'm glad that I'm finally meeting you."

"Huh, same here."

"I just hope that you're not one of those spy girls my dad sends to control what I'm doing."

"Would a spy have a chopstick in her hair?"

She giggled.

"Aah I believe you."

I needed to ask her if she had a boyfriend. Just to be sure.
I coudn't bring that up directly though.

"Do you like baby hamsters?" I asked.

That was so lame.

"I hate animals. Ugh gross." She said, gagging. "Why this question?"

"I want to get to know you."

"Oh I see."

"So hum, what are your favorite flowers?"

"Roses."

"Ahh. Roses are cool." I nodded.

Her phone rang and she immediately answered.

"Hey TaeTae! Naah I'm not busy."

Bitch.

"Okay okay, kisses babe. I'll call you back." She said, "Poing poing~" doing aegyo.

Yep, it's her.

"Aww I didn't know you had a boyfriend." I said, smiling a little too much.

"Oh no, he's not my boyfriend."

"Fiancé?" I said, gulping.

"He's a distraction."
