PROLOGUE
I traced the outline of my name on the letter, that perfect curvy writing I had memorized. I read it over and over again, not able to fully take in the horror of what was written, and tried not to smear the ink with my tears. I gripped the paper until my knuckles turned white. The tears kept coming with no way for me to stop them. Four words... four words to ruin everything. They played over and over again in my mind, "Aliese, they found me.". Rage filled me to the core. A deep desire for revenge. A hatred I had never felt so strongly. It was only two years ago that everything was perfect , I was holding hands with the most amazing person I had ever known. I had never heard of the Coldreign. I hadn't known I had a brother, a twin brother. And death was not a constant fear or possibility. I underestimated the Coldreign, and I had paid dearly for it.
