Aly was on her  way out when she was stopped by Chase.

"One last thing before you go, I'm going to have to ask that you spend the weekend at my place. There are some final touches to be added to the document regarding our meeting with Livingston Corp. Their team had postponed the meeting but a date wasn't set so they can call to arrange that meeting any day this week and I'd prefer if we were prepared. Livingston Corp is a major client, we need to impress them"

Aly couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her long awaited weekend had finally arrived and her boss wanted her to spend it working? Not that she had plans because Nate was still MIA and Mandy wasn't back as yet but at least she'd have time to relax and do things at her pace.

"I could just take the bus to and from your place each day"

"That would just be a waste of time Alyssa, and money. You said it yourself, you live far, you don't have a car and you have student loans to pay off... See where I'm going with this? The sooner we start the sooner we can finish" and the further from that "Nice guy" I can keep you.

As much as she hated the fact that he was right, she had to admit his points were valid. She'd have to take three buses there which is time consuming and taxi which would be quicker would cost her money she couldn't spare at this point.

"Fine, I'll stay over"

"Good, Carter can take you to collect your stuff on our way home. Let's go"

"Tonight?" Aly was still in disbelief.

"Yes Ms Laurence, tonight...if we leave this evening that is".

Though this wasn't like a 'date night ' stay,  Aly still felt uneasy being in her boss' apartment. Weekend bag in hand, Alyssa walked quietly behind Chase as he showed her to her room for the next three nights.

"This is your room, your private bathroom is through that door. Mine is just down the hall. Get settled in then come have dinner, Doris my housekeeper should finish up in another ten minutes or so"

"Thanks" Aly smiled nervously.

Picking up her phone she dialed Mandy's number but it went to voicemail. She quickly sent a message saying she hoped all was well and she had so much to tell her. Putting the phone to charge, Aly went to the bathroom to get freshened up.

The bathroom was pure white from tiles to cabinets. Stepping into the luxurious enclosed shower, Aly got lost in the warm cascading water as it caressed her skin inch by inch.

Remembering dinner would be waiting, Aly quickly dried off and slipped into her Victoria's Secret PINK grey pajama pants with its matching tank top and black flip flops then made her way to the kitchen.

Dinner which consisted of mashed potatoes, steak and a delicious homemade gravy was waiting along with Chase who looked sinfully sexy in dark blue silk pajama bottoms and a white T shirt; Wanton Aly was getting a thoroughly enjoyed treat.

After dinner, Aly volunteered to tidy up dishes, relieving Doris of the task she graciously accepted before retreating to her quarters for the night. Chase who had left to 'prepare the documents for work' told Aly to meet him in his study after dinner but after waiting a bit longer than he'd expect her to be, he made his way to find her and was pleasantly surprised to see Aly busying herself at the sink.

She didn't seem to have sensed his presence as she showed no indications of such so he quietly leaned against the kitchen island and watched her as she worked still oblivious to his presence.
Unable to hold back any longer Chase broke the silence.
"You know I had a dishwasher installed for a reason right?"  Amusement was plastered across his face.

Aly jumped at the sound of his voice.
"Oh..yeah I know but I didn't mind doing them manually. Hope you're not mad that I relieved Doris. She looked tired plus she did a fantastic job with dinner and I wanted to show my appreciation for her skills"

"No. I'm not mad, that was really sweet of you. I appreciate your selflessness towards her and I believe she does too. Now may I have my PA back?"

"Thanks and sure, that was last glass anyway"

Drying her hands in paper towel, Aly turned the light off and followed Chase who made his way to his study.

As they walked, her thinking he was mad kept replaying in his head. He really wasn't mad at her, how could he be mad? How could anyone for that matter be mad at someone so... Perfect? None of his 'women' even bothered to pour a glass of water moreover wash dishes, instead they ordered around Doris which irritated Chase and caused arguments. She was more than just his maid and they often abused her kindness thinking he'd stand for it, yet Aly who didn't know either of them that well was quite comfortable with doing housework.

Aly was nothing like those women and he was starting to like that difference more than he intended.

"We won't do much tonight as I'm guessing you must be tired, I'll just give you an idea of what we're working with"

They were both standing at Chase's desk while he arranged some files before handing them to Aly who began leafing through the pages.

Chase watched her as she took interest in the printouts and he couldn't help but find her intelligence and intellect very attractive. Her outer traits didn't match up but her inner traits were all he'd want in a woman and more.

"A purchasing proposal? Not bad, this shouldn't be hard for us to finish up. It's possible we might finish in a day"

A day? No, it had to take longer not because of the proposal itself but because he wanted her around longer than that. He'd have to find an excuse to delay the completion.

"Well we'll see how that goes. Is ten okay for us to start?"

"Yes that's fine, goodnight sir"

That was the final straw, as Aly turned to leave, Chase held her hand and pulled her back; back into his arms, back into a deep  passionately possessive kiss.

Instinctively Aly gave in to the earth shattering assault Chase's lips were rendering on hers. When he finally released her, he kept his forehead against hers then whispered against her aching lips.

"My name is Chase. Goodnight Aly. Let's go"

Turning off the lights, he locked the door then they both walked off, each retreating to their respective room.
As Aly settled into bed, she couldn't help but crave more of those kisses. Each one got better than the last making it harder and harder to fight her growing attraction to Chase.

Amanda needed to get her ass home and soon.

Chase couldn't fall asleep, he had needs Aly could but wouldn't satisfy in ways he desired and no amount of cold showers could help.
She had what it took but she wouldn't willingly give into such desires.

Chase needed company and he needed it now.

Picking his phone up he texted Brielle, inviting her over, an offer she accepted instantly.

Aly slept like a baby, she can't recall ever feeling so well rested in a long time. Stretching she got out of bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up.

On her way from her room, Aly noticed Chase's door was still locked, but seeing it was just a few minutes past six she took it he was still asleep and made her way to the kitchen. She was in the mood for muffins so she quickly whipped up batter for a batch; thankfully Doris kept the kitchen well stocked with easily accessible ingredients and utensils.

"Finally, I told Chase he needed more help around here, that frumpy old bat can't keep up. Get me some coffee".

Aly who was busy tidying up the dishes turned around to see a green eyed blonde sitting at the island clad in what looked like Chase's shirt from the previous night. Her long red polished nails tapping on the marble surface.

"Did you not hear me? Or is it that you don't speak English? I said get me some coffee.. NOW! Apparently you don't value your job"

Chase was on his way to the kitchen when he heard the uproar taking place, quickening his strides he went to investigate.

Aly was livid, she could feel her ears emitting steam.

"Excuse me? I am no one's maid" Aly shot back as she walked out leaving Brielle shocked and furious.

"Look bitch, I can..."

"Enough. You do not speak to my employee in that manner Brielle. And why are you still here? Get your stuff and go" Chase's voice was low and sharp.

Aly had turned back for her phone but froze at the doorway when Chase cut the whining blonde off. The mighty Brielle who just now flared up on Aly now looked like a child being reprimanded sitting with her head held down reverently as Chase spoke. When he finished she obediently got up and walked pass Aly without making eye contact with neither Chase nor her. Though she was the one insulted initially, Aly felt bad for her, Chase was pretty harsh but Aly decided it would be best if she didn't interfere.

Intimidation washed over Aly as she entered the kitchen where Chase was pouring himself coffee.

"Good morning sir...Chase" She said nervously.

"Good morning Aly. I apologize for what took place, she was out of line"
He was now sitting at the island in black joggers and a dark blue shirt. Aly noticed a red mark along the side of his neck and immediately she felt a stab in her chest.

Of course last night would mean nothing to him, Chase would never seriously have feelings for her even if she felt b otherwise about him.

"It's ok. Excuse me" she quickly picked up her phone from the countertop and walked out.

Unknown to Aly, Chase noticed the sudden change in her eyes, her eyes got glossy; almost as if she was saddened. He figured what could have been the reason but there's nothing he could do about it; at least not right know, he needed time, he needed a plan and all this had to be soon.

"No nothing else happened idiot, get your mind out of the gutter"

Alyssa's mood lightened a bit when she finally got a call from Amanda who absorbed the news about the recent  happenings like a sponge in liquid but deep down she still felt bad knowing that after their kiss, Chase had spent the night with another woman.

"What do mean you're not coming home yet?"

"Oh well tell them I send my love and after that Missy, get your ass home, I miss you"

"Love you too Mandy boo and for Pete's sake send a message before going Mia like that...had me worried"

"Whatever biotch. Love ya!"

Aly threw her phone on the bed then left to go see if they could get started on the proposal.

"Oh good morning dear. Mr Callaghan had asked me to come tell you to meet him in his study"

"Good morning Doris. Thanks. I left you some muffins, hope you like them" Aly said smiling.

"Thank you dear and no problem"
Aly made her way to the study where Chase was waiting. A knot formed in her chest as she opened the door and the memory of the two kisses flooded her mind.

Chase was sitting at his desk going over the proposal but looked up when he heard the door close.

"Oh there you are I had asked Doris to come get you".

"I saw her on the way. It's earlier than we discussed but I was wondering if we could get started now".

Aly was trying to hide how she felt regarding the kisses and knowing Chase had company after their hot moment the night before.

"Sure"  As badly as he wanted to, Chase  decided against questioning her eager to start. He figured it was stemming from earlier that morning but still kept his silence not because he didn't care, in fact that was the reason but he couldn't afford to show his feelings.

Two dreary hours  passed since they began to work with not much communication  between them except the few times something was said regarding the proposal, other than that, the silence between them was deafening and Chase couldn't stand it.

Aly stole a few quick glances every now and then, thankfully he was too busy on either his phone or laptop to even notice her. Each glance was a stab in the chest for Aly because all she saw each time was the reminder of his hot night  with that blonde haired bitch; bile rose in her chest at the unpleasant memory.

Chase's phone began to ring, breaking the invisible soundless barrier between them. It was his dad, she picked that up when he answered.

"Excuse me" He  said as he got up.
Chase stepped away from the couch they occupied as he began the conversation with his father.

Aly didn't know what the conversation about but it got Chase upset about whatever the topic was.

"Look dad, this isn't the time ok? I have things to do so your nagging will have to take the backseat for now. Look I must go, we'll talk another time" Hanging up he went back to his previous spot on the couch, that silent wall reclaiming  its position between them.

Still focused on her work,  Aly didn't even spare him a glance.

A man like Chase wasn't accustomed to being ignored like this and he hated it. The call was from his father who was once again calling to nag Chase about finally getting married and settling down; the thing he dreaded most. To him, all  women wanted was his money or the chance to have their names associated with the millionaire bachelor. He was swamped with thoughts, randomly fishing for an answer until he finally made the big catch; he could suggest Aly agree to being his  'Contractual Bride' that way he could have her without her or anyone else for that matter  really knowing.

Chase mentally gave himself a pat on the back for his 'genius idea' all he needed now was a reason to get her in a position to discuss his plan.
