Charlotte's POV:
'IT CAME! IT FINALLY CAME!' I yelled as an owl landed on the table while I was eating my breakfast, Uncle Remus ran down the stairs looking extremely excited
'This is great! Go on open it!' He says giving me a slight nudge, I turn the envelope over and opened the letter, I pulled it out and the first letter was a letter from Dumbledore and I read it aloud:
'Dear Miss Potter,
On September first, you will aboard the Hogwarts Express and arrive at Hogwarts to start what would be your fifth year. I hope you have been learning everything you would have learnt in the previous years at home with the help of your guardian. I would like to inform you that your brother Harry will receive a letter letting him know that you are both siblings anytime soon. I would also like to inform you that your guardian Remus Lupin has also been assigned as the new Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher therefore will be accompanying you this year. I'm sure you have many questions as to why you are joining us in the fifth year and I will answer them all when you arrive at the school which is when you'll be sorted into which ever house the sorting hat thinks best suits you.

'You're going to be a teacher there?!' I ask Uncle Remus excitedly and he nods his head, I break out in a grin and tackle him into a massive bear hug
'This is going to be so cool! I won't have to miss you!' I say letting go of him
'And I won't have to miss you either, I can also keep an eye on you, I know you have good grades and I'm not worried about that I'm worried about how much your personality is like your father, you're sure to get into trouble for pranks and jokes!' he says and I laugh
'As long as I have good grades what's to worry about, the whole point in school is how good your grades are so a few pranks won't hurt anyone!' I laugh and Uncle Remus rolls his eyes
'Read the acceptance letter!' He tells me
'Calm down Moony, I'm getting there!' I say while laughing and once again he rolls his eyes but chuckles lightly 'Okay, it says....' I start then read the letter
'Dear Miss Potter,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

Then there's a list of things I'll need!' I add on the end after finishing the letter 'Well maybe you could get that with Harry?! Have a bonding trip to Diagon Alley!' Uncle Remus says excitedly and I crack a smile
'I can't wait for him to know! I've wanted to tell him for so long!' I say and Uncle Remus chuckles
'I'm surprised you actually didn't tell him I'm also surprised he hasn't worked it out, you both have the same colour eyes and hair!' he points out and I giggle then turn on the telly
'Mass murderer Sirius Black is on the loose!' The reporter on the telly says and I'm immediately drawn to the screen
'Sirius, how did he? When did he? Huh?!' I say in one breath then turn to look at Uncle Remus he's gone pale 'Uncle Remus, you do believe he's innocent, don't you?!' I ask him and he shrugs
'I don't know Lottie, I want to believe he is but I just don't know, there's no evidence to say he didn't do it!' He tells me and my jaw drops
'Sirius would never do that, I know I don't really remember him but he just wouldn't.' I tell him starting to cry 'I know Sirius wouldn't betray my parents, I just know it but stupid Peter Pettigrew, he's a stupid coward and I just have this gut feeling that it was him.' Before I start to cry my eyes out I run up stairs and into my room, slamming the door and flopping on my bed crying into my pillow. I stay there for about 10 minutes before there's no tears left, I wipe my eyes and look out my window to see a certain brother of mine walking up the drive.
I run downstairs and I'm half way down when Harry rings the door bell, as soon as I'm down I fling the door open to reveal Harry stood there looking in shock with a letter in his hand 'Is it true?!' He asks me looking me right in the eyes, I nod my head slowly then just loose the plot
'I'm sorry Harry I really, really truly am. I've wanted to tell you for so long now but Dumbledore told Uncle Remus to tell me not to until Dumbledore told you and now I feel awful because for so long you've stuck with the Dursleys thinking they were your only family when I'm your family way more than they are and I never told you and I get it if you never want to talk to me ever again but I want you to know how sorry I really truly am.' I gush quickly and Harry looks startled for a minute then pulls me into a hug
'No need to apologize! I know if you could have told me you would have but you couldn't, I honestly don't know how I didn't notice now that I think about it we have the same hair and eye colour and you look so much like mum. I'm just glad that the Dursleys aren't my only family and that I actually have a sister!' Harry says as we cling onto each other neither one of us wanting to let go in case we wake up and it's all just a dream. It truly is nice to hear someone other than Lupin tell me I look like my mum
'Aww brotherly-sisterly love!' I hear Uncle Remus say and I grudging let go of Harry and turn around to stick my tongue out at Uncle R
'Would you like to stay for lunch Harry?!' Uncle Remus asks but Harry shook his head
'Uncle Vernon's sister is coming tonight and I need to clean the house and moe the lawn before she comes, I really just dropped by to find out if it was true!' Harry said and I sighed
'Okay, don't get in too much trouble with her, I know how much she hates you and how horrible she is but don't blow your top, if it's too much for you come over here, Oh and could we go and get school things in Diagon Alley together?' I say and Harry nods his head
'I'll try but I'm not making any promises but I'll definitely come over here if anything happens!& of course we can go together, you can meet some of my friends, you'll get along great with them I promise!' He says then looks at his watch 'I've got to go or I'll be in an even worse position this weekend, bye Lot!' he says as he hugs me again then runs off to his house which is just around the corner.
I carefully close the door and turn to head into the living room where Uncle Remus now is 'I'm sorry about before.' I tell him and he pulls me into a hug
'I know you are and I really want to believe he's innocent too but I just don't know, I'm not saying he's guilty I'm saying he might be but he also might be innocent.' He tells me as he lets me go, I just nod my head and then head to the kitchen bench where I have some of my school stuff to finish. I pick up my wand which is an 11", Elder wood, Phoenix feather cored wand, I honestly love it, Ollivander told me to take great care of it because it's very powerful, I don't know if it's true though Uncle Remus says he says to take good care of your wand to everyone.
Since I've been home schooled I can do magic in the house but only in the house, starting September that will change and I'll only be allowed to do it in school until the trace wears off when I'm seventeen. I grab all the pieces of parchment I've written on and stack it in a pile then pick up my ink bottle and quill then head up to my room to put everything away in my trunk, yep that's right I've started to pack for Hogwarts, my trunk is still pretty empty considering I haven't got my robes or anything like that yet but I'll be getting them with Harry sometime before the holidays end.
*That night*
I had just finished drying the dishes I had just cleaned when there was a loud knock at the door, I went over to answer it and found a very angry Harry with his trunk standing behind him along with Hedwig in her cage, I raised an eyebrow and he puffed out some air then looked at me 'I lost it I completely lost it so I packed my bags and was about to go to the Leaky Cauldron when I remembered what you said earlier and wondered if you wanted to come with me?!' He asks a little spark of hope in his eyes
'Uncle Remus?!' I call for him and he comes through the living room door to the hall and smiles when he sees Harry
'I heard the conversation and I'm totally fine with it, how long do you plan on staying there?!' He says and I smile at how understanding he is
'Well probably until the holidays end so about three weeks. the Weasleys are staying there for a couple days before school starts too!' He tells Lupin and Lupin nods
'Well you better get your trunk ready.' He tells me and I giggle then run up the stairs
'I knew there was a good reason for packing so early' I thought to myself as I shut the clasps on the side of my trunk then started to heave it down the stairs once I got it down Uncle Remus hugged me and I hugged him back
'I guess I'll see you at Hogwarts then!' He says and I nod
'Yep! At Hogwarts! Remember to-you know-take the medicine you need for your cold!' I say and wink at him so he knows I meant his condition aka Werewolf-y problem with the full moon! He let go and I grabbed my trunk then me and Harry began to make our way to wherever we were going.
We were walking along in silence, not an awkward silence but silence all the same. We stopped at the side of the road next to a park when we'd walked for about 30 minutes pulling heavy trunks behind us. We sat down on the curb and started to regain our breath when something made a noise behind us, both our heads shot around but it was two dark to see anything or anyone but I did see two big eyes staring at us and I think Harry did two but we were soon distracted by the big purple bus that had just pulled up next to us. We stared at that then turned back around but the eyes were gone. We both shrugged it off then climbed onto the Knight Bus as we now knew it as and made our way to The Leaky Cauldron.
