It was kind of weird arriving at school, not expecting to see Liam.  We always came to school together.  I mean, I knew this little argument would have its aftermath of awkwardness but I've always hated fighting with him.  I looked down at my phone once again.  8:15am.  I had five minutes to spare so I sat by the front doors.  I threw my backpack off my shoulders, diving my hands into it for my textbooks for my first class.  English.  Once I had my textbooks and precious homework intact, I walked through the familiar doors and through the front hallway.  I saw many familiar faces.  Friends, acquaintances, not so friendly friends and many more.  I said small hi's and how are you'd but I couldn't take my mind off of Liam.  I felt so alone without him by my side.  I tried my absolute best to shrug it off as I began to climb the staircase up to English class.  I counted as I fairly quickly climbed the stairs.  One, two, three, four, five, six- my count was interupted.

"Hey!  Lou!" I heard a girl yell.  From the top of the stairs, I spotted her.  Another one of my close friends, Amber.  Her auburn hair was falling over her shoulders as she was at the railing of the stairs, staring me down with her bright blue eyes.

"Hey Amber, you off to English?" I questioned.  It was such a stupid question.  I knew she was off to English, she came with Liam and I everyday.  She knew I had already known the answer and asked me a question as I walked up the last few steps of the stairs.

"Where's Li?" She asked looki back down the stairs.

"I don't know," I said.  "He must still be at home," I lied.  I didn't want to tell her about our little argument.  It would only let more drama arise.  "I'm sure he'll be here soon," I said ruffling a hand through my hair, then pulling it back into its usual fringe.

"Oh, well okay.  He's usually late anyways," she laughed it off.  I'm so happy that she's so light hearted.  We began to walk quickly down the crowded hallway of the second floor.  Jocks, geeks, nerds, punks.  You name it, we saw it.  We maneuvered our way to our English room discussing everything from the latest celebrity gossip to the newest homework assignments that had been handed out.  As we came up to the large classroom, we greeted out eccentric teacher, Mr. Lowes.  He had always been the enthusiastic type.  Which is why I got into Emglish.  Mr. Lowes made it fun.  Amber and I took our two usual seats at the front.  We began unpacking all our materials and such when he walked in.  Harry walked in with a smug demenor on his face, until he spotted me.  He seemed to look at Amber than back at me.  He tensed up.  What? I thought.  He then kept walking to the back of class to his usual desk.  I can't believe after last night, he won't say a word to me.  I looked at Amber and she looked surprised.

"Was Harry Styles just staring you down?" She asked concerned.

"I don't know," I lied once again.  What was going on with me?

"Oh, Louis are you okay?" She asked, resting her hand on mine.

Wow, it seems like everyone can see that I'm off today.

"Yeah, Amber please I'm fine," I assured her, slowly moving my hand away.

"Lou, if anything is wrong you can tell me," she stated as she walked over to me and hugged me from behind.

"I'm telling you Amber, there is nothing wrong,"

As I finished that sentenc, Mr. Lowes walked in.  Amber returned to her seat.  He immediately began a lecture about God know what.  I saw Amber taking notes but I couldn't bring myself to write or pay attention for that matter.  Harry and Liam took up my mind.  I wanted my best friend and what in the world was going on with Harry and I.  Was Liam just being himself and was coming in late?  Or did I do or say something that made him want to avoid or ditch school?  I don't know.  I focused my attention to the teacher the best I could and took very poorly executed notes.  It was the best I could do.  I looked down at my paper, disappointed.   My favourite class was turning dreadful.  What was I to do other than sit there and wait for the painful time to pass.  As soon as I were to be able to leave this class, I would call Liam or talk to Harry.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It had felt like a lifetime before Mr. Lowes' lecture had ended and English was over.  I immediately unlocked arms with Amber said a quick goodbye and ran to a hallway with no students crowding it.  I leant back against a locker and pulled out my phone.  I opened my contacts and scrolled till I saw Liam's face.  He was sticking his toungue out at the camera.  I giggled to myself.  It was such a fond memory.  When we had first gotten our phones, taking pictures was the coolest thing to us.  So we ended up taking all these embarrassing pictures of eachother and we thought we ought to purpt them to good use.  I hit dial.  One ring, two rings.

I was suddenly pushed up against the locker very forcefully.  My phone fell out of my hand.  I looked down at it.  It hit a floor with a quiet thud and I was hoping to God it was not broken.  I looked up to see Harry's dark green orbs.

"You probably thought that was funny, huh?  That girl with her hands all over you," he said not breaking eye contact.

"You mean Am-" He cut me off.

"I don't want to know her name, Louis is she your girlfriend?" He asked.

"Harry, I-" I tried to explain.

"Do you know how much self control it took me not get up and kiss you right in front of her?" He asked seriously.  I suddenly felt butterflies.  Was Harry jealous? I suddenly took my shocked expression off of my face, letting it fall into more of smirk.

"Well, Harry if I didn't know any better, I'd think you were jealous," I teased putting my arms around his neck.

"Wow, that's kind of low, I mean... I don't get jealous," Harry stuttered.

"I mean Harry, we've only met a couple of days ago and you're already-" once again for the millionth time he cut me off.

"Louis, even though I haven't talked to you, I've seen you around a lot.  Since we were kids actually, I've always wanted to get to know you, and trust me when I say I still do but Louis I think I haven't established that I want to get to know you in a... different kind of way..." He began.  What was he implying?  I stayed silent.  My hands still around his neck with his on either side of my head on the lockers behind us.  I tried not to get too excited.  I didn't know what was coming but I liked the direction of the stutaion.

"Louis, I know it's weird for such an outcast to say this but I've liked you for as long as I can remember and oh well... Fuck it... I cannot see you with anyone else," he finished.  As he finished he pressed himself up against me and kissed me.  Not like the last kiss we had.  It wasn't rough or forceful.  It was perfect.  I could feel his passion.  He liked me? He likes me. It was surreal.  Maybe this day wasn't going to be so bad after all.  I let myself get lost in the kiss.  I didn't know how long it had been.  It could've been seconds, minutes or even hours but it wasn't enough.  When Harry pulled away I felt empty.  Maybe I liked him too, I did like him too.  I couldn't comprehend anything.  It seems as though I was always confused.  I didn't want to ruin the moment so I stood there with Harry, just embracing his presence.  I wanted him closer.  I had barely touched him because of his hesitation that I had never tried to.

"Louis, after I just spilled all of that stuff to you I was wondering if you-" He stopped as he looked to the left.  I followed his gaze and looked as well.  I couldn't believe what I was witnessing.  There he stood, tears in his eyes.  Phone in hand, I saw him clench a fist.  He was trying to not let the tears fall but the he was clearly losing.  I let go of Harry.

"Liam? Are you okay?" I asked stepping towards him.  He stormed towards me, coming faster and faster.  What was he doing? I thought he'd stop when he reached me but he did not.  He ran past me towards Harry.

"Liam, what are you-" I watched Liam connect his fist with Harry's jaw.  Harry moved his head with the punch but slowly turned his head back.

"You fucking asshole!  What's wrong with you?!" Liam screamed.  "Don't you dare come near him ever again, you hear me?!" He shouted louder.  Was Liam claiming me?

"You just messed with the wrong person," Harry said quietly.

Oh fuck, this is going to get ugly.
