"Yo, Lee Seokmin! What's up?!" Seungkwan called out in English, his heavy Jeju accent slurring his speech. Seokmin waved at him.
Hansol, who was walking next to the loud boy, rolled his eyes, and Seokmin distinctly heard Hansol insulting Seungkwan's English, earning a slap from the older boy. When the pair reached Seokmin, Seungkwan slung his arm around him and gave him a mischievous look. Seokmin glanced back at him warily, unsure of what Seungkwan's look meant.
"So, how's that lover boy of yours, hm?" Seungkwan asked, leaning into Seokmin annoyingly.
Seokmin shoved Seungkwan off of him. He had told his friends about his crush on Jisoo a few days ago, and ever since, they'd been teasing him nonstop. They would even talk about it at lunch in front of Jisoo, but they wouldn't mention his name, leading Jisoo to continuously interrogate Seokmin about whom he had a crush on.
"Why don't you ask him yourself?" Seokmin replied, glaring at Seungkwan.
"Well, I don't see him around, so I figured the next best person to ask would be his boyfriend," Seungkwan taunted, smirking at Seokmin challengingly.
"Quite unlike yourself, Jisoo happens to be straight," Seokmin replied, disappointment evident in his words.
"What are you talking about? I am straight," Seungkwan lied jokingly. Seokmin and Hansol looked at him incredulously.
"Really? You weren't last night," Hansol retorted, finally breaking into the conversation.
He immediately blushed after he realized what he had said, as if he himself couldn't believe the words that had just come out of his mouth. Seungkwan shot his boyfriend a lovesick grin.
"Disgusting. I don't need to know what you two idiots do in your free time," Seokmin complained fondly, though he felt a pang of jealousy as he looked at the happy couple. If only he and Jisoo could be like that...
A sudden force slammed into Seokmin's back, clinging to his waist and hugging him tightly. Seokmin let out a frightened, girlish scream, and Hansol and Seungkwan laughed at him.
"Am I really that scary?" a smooth voice spoke into Seokmin's ear while soft hair brushed against his neck. Was that Jisoo's voice?
Seokmin turned his head, and surely enough, Jisoo's beaming face was looking up at him teasingly. Speak of the devil. Seokmin glanced down at Jisoo's lips, then realized the proximity of their faces and quickly moved away, a deep blush spreading across his face.
Jisoo let out a moan of complaint when Seokmin separated his body from Jisoo's, and he surged forward, hugging the younger boy again. A surprised look set across Seokmin's face, and after a few moments of hesitation, he placed his arms around Jisoo, patting his back awkwardly.
"You're so warm," Jisoo mumbled into Seokmin's shoulder. Seokmin finally noticed the goosebumps on Jisoo's arms, and he held the older boy closer, his face burning red.
"Wait a second, here we go," Seokmin muttered as he unzipped his coat and wrapped it around Jisoo and himself. Jisoo nuzzled himself closer into Seokmin.
Over Jisoo's shoulder, Seokmin saw Seungkwan standing with Soonyoung, who seemed to have joined them, as they mouthed things to Seokmin furiously and made suggestive gestures.
Hansol and Jihoon, who also seemed to have joined the group, were standing next to the other two, Hansol trying to stop the immature boys while Jihoon seemed to have given up completely, his head in his palms. Seokmin glared at Seungkwan and Soonyoung and mouthed, "Fuck off," to them, earning mock-offended looks in response.
After a few moments, Jisoo finally got off of Seokmin, a content smile on his face. Jisoo grabbed Seokmin's hand and dragged him over to the rest of their friends.
"So, what were you guys talking about earlier?" Jisoo asked as the six of them walked to the cafeteria together. Seokmin shot a glare towards Seungkwan, silently commanding him not to say anything.
"We were teasing Seokmin about his crush again," Seungkwan answered with a smirk, giving Seokmin a defiant look.
Jisoo looked at Seokmin pleadingly, using his eyes to ask Seokmin to tell him who he had a crush on since Seokmin still hadn't told him. Seokmin shook his head apologetically at Jisoo, and Jisoo opened his mouth to say something.
"Jisoo-hyuuuung!" a bright voice shrieked, jumping onto his back.
"Who is that? Is that Chan? Chan, get off me!" Jisoo responded gruffly as he tried to shake Chan off of him. Chan eventually jumped off and smiled innocently at the other boys, laughing childishly. The group walked to their lunch table together, the others chatting along the way while Seokmin found himself thinking about Chan and Jisoo.
Chan had been at the library when Seokmin first brought Jisoo to their lunch table on Friday, so when he had come to the cafeteria on Monday, he was utterly confused to see another boy sitting with them. After talking to each other though, Chan and Jisoo instantly became attached, almost as if they had known one another for years. Seokmin found their sibling-like relationship adorable, and Jisoo's sweet and brotherly attitude towards Chan only increased Seokmin's feelings for the American boy.
"Seokmin-ah, do you want some?" Jisoo's voice broke him out of his thoughts.
Seokmin looked at Jisoo questioningly, and Jisoo held up a bag of potato chips. Seokmin nodded, and Jisoo took a few chips out and poked Seokmin's lips with them. Seokmin opened his mouth, and Jisoo placed the chips on Seokmin's tongue.
"You guys are so married," Jun commented with a chuckle. He turned towards Minghao and opened his mouth expectantly.
"I'm not feeding you in front of our friends when you're perfectly capable of doing so yourself," Minghao stated, turning away from Jun disinterestedly.
Jun dramatically placed his hand over his heart and put a hurt mask on his face. Minghao sighed exasperatedly and shoved a biscuit into Jun's mouth, ignoring Jun's triumphant grin after he did so.
"We aren't married," Seokmin corrected Jun, glaring at the Chinese boy who was now facing the two of them again. Jun just smiled at them innocently, turning back to his boyfriend so he could continue to pester him.
"Speaking of marriage and love and whatever, what are we doing for Valentine's Day this year?" Wonwoo asked, directing his gaze towards Jeonghan. Jisoo looked at them inquisitively.
"Ever since we've been friends, we've all hung out together at Jeonghan's place on Valentine's Day," Seokmin explained to Jisoo.
"Ah, but then what do the couples do?" Jisoo pondered.
"The couples go out for lunch so that we can all hang out together in the evening. It's a tradition, and none of us really wanna get rid of it, you know?" Seokmin replied, and Jisoo nodded in understanding.
"How about everyone either brings snacks or movies and we can all order pizza together and watch those movies?" Jeonghan suggested.
Everyone at the table agreed, and they made a list of who would bring what, parting ways when the bell rang to signify the end of lunch. Seokmin was extremely excited that Jisoo would be joining them for Valentine's Day this year. He couldn't wait for the weekend.
