Usually, my word count goal is 2000. but this chapter is 3500, Why?- because I figured since this was the plot chapter that it could be a little longer than the usual. When you see her, everything changes. Your whole center shifts, All of a sudden it's not gravity holding you to the planet... it's Her. and Nothing else matters. You would do anything and be anything for her. a Friend, a Brother, a Protector, a Lover...
Watching her grow from a baby to a young girl these short few years have brought me so much joy and happiness. Thoughts of her as a Lover never entered my mind like a normal imprint would- This was different. imprinting wasn't about being their lover, it was about being what they needed, and these past few years she's needed me as a brother and now she's needed me not just as her brother but as her friend, someone to hang out with and share a laugh. Someone to talk to about anything. I was her best friend but no matter how old she get's or if she needed me to be or not, I'll always be her protector.
it also doesn't matter what she is to me. I'll always think she is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
I hold her small hand in mine as we walk on the beach of La Push. we had taken off our shoes deciding to walk barefoot in the cool dark sand. I listened to her talk about her music lessons with her father.
"I just don't see how he can do that!. I mean he can do it in his sleep and I'm over here giving myself a headache! that's how bad I am!" She throws her head back and groans "I think I'm going to give up piano! it's just not working for me.."
I couldn't help but smile at her frustration, it was adorable when she get's frustrated and mad. she see's the smile on my face and pushes my arm.
"It's not funny Jacob!" if looks could kill people I'd probably be dead from the glare she is giving me. it only makes me laugh harder.
"Jacob!" she whines and crosses her arms over her chest. I couldn't help but chuckle at the adorable sight.
I didn't want her to be upset with me for long so I decided to tickle her side and she starts to giggle, like music to my ears- The sound makes my heart speed up, and her smile makes my heart warmer. I stop tickling her so she can catch her breath.
Her breathing turns to normal but her smile stay's and it captures my smile refusing to let it go anywhere.
"I'm sorry Jacob. I'm just frustrated I can't get it right" She apologizes and looks down at her bare feet, disappointed in herself.
I got down on my knee so I could be eye to eye with her and I lifted her chin to look into her brown eyes.
"I believe you can do it Nessie. I believe you can play even better than your dad one day! but you have to keep practicing." Her eyes started to sparkle at my words.
"You really think so Jacob?"
"Absolutely!.. you just have to practice, cause they say practice makes perfect!" she smiles and hugs my neck and my arms automatically wrapped around her small body.
"Thank you, Jacob!... I won't give up I promise!" her voice was filled with hope again and my heart was filled with joy from being the one to inspire her.
"Hey, Jacob?" Her soft voice catches my attention.
"Yes, Nessie?"
"Could you teach me how to play guitar?" I couldn't help but laugh again pulling her tight to my chest.
"What's so funny now?!" She tries to push away from my arms but her strength was no match for mine... she was strong for a young girl but it wasn't anything like mine for her family's strength yet.
"I just think it's funny how you're frustrated by not being good at piano and now you're wanting to learn a different instrument" I let go of her standing to my feet as I take her hand in mine we walk back towards my truck.
I would take her on my motorcycle but Bella and Edward didn't like the idea, They didn't think it was safe for her since she is so young and half human.
When we reach the truck I pull out the guitar I have in the back seat, sometimes the pack will get together around a fire on the beach and play songs, I'm usually playing the guitar for everyone while they sing.
Nessie jumps up and down in excitement and takes off toward the beach again and I run after her, enjoying the sound of her high-pitched laughter.
She stops at a big log laying on the beach and sits down on it, she pats the spot next to her for me to sit down. I sit where she tells me to and I rest the guitar on my knee and play a simple melody on the guitar.
"Jacob I thought you said you'd teach me!" Her head falls to the side and her shoulders slump in disappointment.
"I'm just letting you hear what I'm about to teach you is all. I promise I'm going to teach you" I assure her and she smiles and relaxes her posture. I hand over the guitar to her and I move to sit in front of her on the sand.
"Now I want you to place your finger here-" I take her finger and place it on the string, and I go ahead and place the other fingers where they are supposed to go.
it took awhile to teach her the cord's but eventually, she started to remember, The only thing she was having trouble with was adding the cord's she learned and the strumming together.
"You almost got it Nessie! You're actually learning this very quickly, I'm impressed!" She smiled at my encouragement and turned her focus back on the guitar and started to practice again.
I just sat on the sand watching her facial expressions turn from excitement to frustration whenever she messes up the cords. Our time together today was absolutely amazing and I wish I could say it stayed that way but it was all turned upside down when...
"Hey, Jake! I'm not surprised to see you babysitting again!" a mocking annoying voice called out and instantly made my blood boil, I, unfortunately, had to turn my attention away from Nessie to see one of the new members of the pack, Shawn.
"What do you want Shawn?" I stood to my feet standing in between him and Nessie protectively. Shawn was a pain in the ass and I sure as hell wasn't going to let him ruin my day.
"You know Jacob... I feel bad for you, You have to suffer day after day with blue balls waiting for her to grow up-" I immediately cut off his dumbass remark with a growl.
"it's not like that Shawn and you know it!" My hands started to ball into a fist. I was taking deep breaths to calm down my wolf but I knew if I didn't get Nessie and myself away from him I'll lose it.
So without another word, I take the guitar from Nessie and grab her hand pulling her to her feet. She looked worried and confused but I ignored it, I just needed to get us away from him before I lose control.
"Oh okay so you don't think of her like that.. then do you mind if I get a hit on that when she's of age?" I stop in my tracks making Nessie come to a halt next to me.
"Jacob?..." I heard Nessies voice but it sounded like it came from a distance...
Spinning around to face him I waste no time in approaching him and taking him by the collar. The other members of the pack noticed what was happening but it was too late to stop me.
I punched him in the face and he fell to the sand and I ignored the shouts from everyone to stop and I was on top of him throwing punch after punish, I threw my fist back and he caught my fist mid swing and delivered his down hit to my face.
He threw me off of him and this time he was throwing punches to my face and making comments that made me want to murder him.
"You know it would be a waste to let that pretty thing go to waste Jacob!" He threw another punch and threw more nasty remarks about Nessie and what he didn't know was that he had made a mistake with me and my wolf.
My wolf couldn't hold back any longer, as I turned into my wolf I knocked Shawn off of me and he flew in the air and before he touched the ground he shifted into his wolf.
When he hit the ground he let out a loud and angry growl and I growled back at him. Signaling I was ready for the fight and it was also a warning to anyone standing by not to interfere.
Our wolves charge towards each other and when we collide we start to claw and bite on each other's necks. My vision was red and the only thing I could focus on was killing him.
It didn't help that I could see into his mind where he was imagining an older version of Nessie below him... it only made me thirsty for his blood. I never wanted to end someone's life as much as I did now.
We stopped soon as we heard a high pitched scream. I look around for the sound and my eyes land on Nessie on laying on the sand covered in Blood...
I shifted back into my human form immediately and made my way to her examining her wounds, and it was exactly what I feared. They were large claw marks on her arm and she was bleeding badly...
"Jacob..." She tried to say something but she started to cough stopping her from speaking.
"Nessie I'm so sorry!-" I was about to take her in my arms when Quil shoved a pair of shorts to my chest-
"Dude you need to get into these and take her to Carlisle!" Quil told me helping me put my head back together.
I Threw on the pair of shorts and took Nessie in my arms and before I could take off running Embry was in front of me in his wolf form.
"Jacob-" Sam grabbed my forearm for a moment to get my attention and he said "You won't make it in time if you run on foot! Embry will take you to the Cullens!. Don't worry about Shawn. I'll take care of him!"
I nodded my thanks to Sam and I climbed into Embry's back and held Nessie tightly to my chest as we speed off into the woods.
I felt lost like I didn't know what to do- The only thing that I knew to do and it felt natural to do was tell her over and over that she would be okay even though I didn't know for sure...
It wasn't long and we were already in front of the Cullens house and I carefully slid off of Embry's back and in a blink of an eye Edward and Bella and the whole Cullen family were in front of me shouting in panic for Nessie.
Carlisle approaches me and takes me by the arm and starts leading me up the steps to the house "Come with me Jacob hurry!"
I listen to him and I rush alongside him to his room with hospital equipment and for the moment I ignore the family asking me what had happened. I couldn't answer them... My main task was getting her to the hospital room where Carlisle can treat her.
I carefully place her down on the bed Carlisle leads me to and as soon as Nessie was out of my arms I was being pulled out of the room, But I couldn't leave her-
"No! I'm staying with her!" I shouted in protest but I was being ignored, I felt another pair of hands on me pulling me out of the room. "You can't make me leave her!"
The last thing I saw before the door closed in front of me was Carlisle treating her wounds in a skilled, rush. and Bella crying on Nessies bedside.
When the door closed I was in the living area of the house in the blink of an eye. Edward threw me against the wall- His eyes were black with rage.
"What happened!" He shouted in my face. I swear if he didn't need me to figure out what happened to Nessie he would have killed me the second I stepped foot on their property.
"Shawn... He said some things about Nessie that made me angry... I couldn't hold my anger and I fought him.." I took a few breaths trying to calm down my heartbeat but it only banged harder in my chest.
"He was imagining her..." I was trying to explain more but thinking about it made the image appear in my head again and I couldn't stop the growl that came from deep in my chest.
"Don't!" Edward warned and stepped away from me. "You keep that image in your head I'll have to kill you.."
I nodded in understanding and tried to think of something else, like how she was hurt in the first place. did I do this?
"Jacob didn't hurt Nessie... It was Shawn that struck her by accident!" Embry spoke up from the corner of the room, everyone's eyes turned toward him and then to me.
Edward looked at me for a moment with a cold stare and then he nodded letting me know he understood and didn't completely blame me which I was grateful for.
"Jacob!" I heard Bella's furious voice before I saw her. She pushed me back by my chest making me stumble back slightly. "What did you do?!"
She was furious and I knew that if looks could kill I'd already been dead.
"I was with Nessie at La Push beach and then Shawn came up and started saying a bunch of shit about Nessie and I couldn't control my wolf, I fought him and while we were in this fight Nessie got hit... Bella it all happened so fast I don't know what happened-" I explained the situation but Bella wasn't having it.
"Edward, is he telling the truth?" She growled still glaring at me.
"Yes, I looked into his mind if Jacob hurt her I would have killed him myself," Edward answered honestly, He stepped closer to her snaking his arm around her waist and whispering in her ear trying to calm her down.
"It shouldn't matter which one of them struck her! He shouldn't be fighting with her around in the first place!" Bella growled and pulled away from Edward. She took a few steps toward me and said "You should have been more responsible with her! I don't want you anywhere near Nessie again!"
My heart broke hearing those words come out of her mouth... No, I can't lose her!
"No! Bella please you can't keep me from her!" I raised my voice, maybe hoping she would hear me and come to reason. I can't be without Nessie...
"Bella-" Edward tired but Bella held her hand up to stop him.
"I'm her mother, if I say you can't see her then you won't... if you do I will kill you." She then flashed out of the room using her vampire speed.
I fell to my knees and I began to shake from head to toe, I wasn't angry... I felt weak. The thought of losing Nessie was tearing me apart inside- I can't live without her. I'm not sure my wolf will let me...
but the more I stayed there thinking about it the more it started to make sense for me to leave I mean maybe she's right... maybe I am a danger to Nessie and the best thing for her is to leave.
"Jacob... don't overthink it, I'll talk to Bella. She will come around-" Edward tried again to help me but this time I stopped him.
"No, she's right... I was irresponsible with Nessie and she got hurt. I can't risk her getting hurt again because of me." With a hardened heart- I wiped the runaway tear from my cheek and stood to my feet.
Before Edward could argue with me, Carlise came out of his private exam room. Everyone stood taller and their eyes filled with hope awaiting the good news from him.
"Renesmee is alright, She's sleeping now." He spoke loudly to the group and I could hear their sighs of relief.
"But I'm afraid that she's not healing as she normally would, She might have permanent scarring." He carried on- the information saddening everyone's hearts in the room.
She would forever have to be reminded of this day, The day that I was careless and risked her life. Though she was only her arm that was wounded- She did lose a lot of blood and that could have resulted in her bleeding out...
"Could I see her?" I asked Carlisle without a second thought.
"Sure... but be sure not to do anything that will wake her- She needs her rest" He ordered and I nodded to him as I passed him- letting him know I understood.
As I walk closer and closer to her door my heartbeat becomes faster and faster to the point I feel like it's about to come out of my chest- I knew this was the right thing to do... I have to leave- but not without saying goodbye to her first... awake or not.
I turned the knob and walked through the door, I left the door cracked behind me as I walked towards her bed. She lay peacefully asleep in the hospital bed and her arm was bandaged up.
I quietly pull up a chair and sat beside the bed- I held her hand as I watched her breathe softly.
I could feel my heart getting heavier from the realization that I may never see this beautiful little girl again... I won't ever be there to see her special events, I won't get to see her go to her first school dance- or be able to take her there myself if she wished. I would never be there to see her graduate high school or college- more than once. I'll never see her get married- or be the one she marries. She will just be gone...
Am I willing to miss out on all of that just to make sure she's safe?- Yes, I am... My heart says I shouldn't leave her. My bond with her isn't letting me move from my seat, but I know that I can't stay and live with the fact that it was my fault she was hurt... I should have walked away.
So that's what I'm doing now- I might live to regret this but I can't risk it with her... I can't be selfish with her.
I gulped back the lump in my throat as I got up to lean over her and kiss her on her forehead gently.
"I'm so sorry Nessie... I hope you can forgive me" I whispered to her sleeping body.
I pulled away from her and rushed out of the room as quietly as possible. I rushed passed Edward and everyone else asking me if I was okay.
Edward knew exactly what I was about to do- in the blink of an eye he was in front of me and pushing me against the wall preventing me from going anywhere.
"Jacob you will regret this if you walk out... Please let me talk with Bella- She will come around you don't have to do this!" He pleaded. I didn't understand why he was trying so hard to get me to stay but I don't think it would change my mind.
"I can't stay... please tell her I'm sorry" I pushed him off me and ran out to the balcony and I jumped off the edge and as soon as my feet hit the ground I was running toward the woods.
The moment I enter the woods I shift into my wolf form and I speed off into the night.
I need to get as far away from Forks- from Washington as I can. I can't risk them finding me and dragging me back, I know I won't be able to resist if I'm ever found.
I need to use every bit of the strength I have to get as far away from Nessie as possible... I'm afraid it's the only way to keep her safe... and if she's ever in any danger I know the Cullens will protect her.
Cause even though Embry said that it was Shawn who hurt her I'm still unsure of who it was that actually hurt her- That is why I'm leaving, cause I can't shake the feeling that it was my claws that scarred her body forever...

Hello, Lovelies!
So this is the plot for this Jacob and Nessie story!. I don't really have a name for it yet it's just called Jacob and Renesmee until I can think of a name or if you guys have any suggestions please feel free to tell me :)
Please keep in mind that this is a rough draft and it isn't perfect! it hasn't even been properly edited yet but that will come soon- I've just had this in my drafts for so long I want it uploaded!
