A/n: this ain't gonna be long I promise. Cause I have good news for you guys!

You're gonna be hearing less of my rants here cause I made a book where I write random shit on so wouldn't have to deal with it. That way you don't have to skip a long boring author's note.

But if you like reading the weirdness I write on my author's notes, feel free to read the book. Ain't nobody's gonna read that anyway. But even tho it would probably get ni attention im just gonna crash there longer. I'd probably update there more frequently cause i got a lot of stupid things to write about.

So yeah. That's all, enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 26: Awkward Conversations

Elsa

"Move on girl." Aubry told Mackenzie as she rolled her eyes. "I did it. You should too."

"Well, it's not that easy. I did like him for more than 3 years. Well, love." Mack said groaning.

"Good thing I never experienced that love thingies. It's just gonna cause me head ache. Like is enough." Anna said.

As usual we were hanging out on the cafeteria, on our usual table, eating our usual snack. And as the three chatted about "moving on", I stayed silent at my seat while eating and listening to their rants.

"Anna, you can't escape love." Aubry said. "You can't easily force yourself to not love either."

"I know my only love that will last for the life time is food. End of story." Anna said.

"This is why you're fat." Mackenzie and Aubry said in unison as they both looked at Anna. I tried to not laugh because I was drinking that time so I covered my mouth and gulped swiftly before something else happens.

"Ha. That's for being so silent." Anna laughed. I just rolled my eyes.

"You seem to be in deep thoughts too. What's the problem dude?" Mackenzie asked. Yes, that's what we call each other. Weird, but the main reason of it was we're the only group of girls in our room that calls each other dude. Most of them use the common ones like "bestie" or something like that.

"Just because the person's silent doesn't mean that person has a problem." I said.

"Yeah but it's sort of unusual." Anna said. I looked at them weirdly.

"On a daily basis, the percentage of the time of me being silent is larger than the percentage of me being loud and noisy." I said.

"Point taken. But usually you always join in on our conversations." Anna said. I just shrugged. "I'm just not in the mood to talk much today." I said.

They all raised an eyebrow before reverting back to their recent conversation.

I blinked a couple of times to get my sleepiness out of me but then I ended up shoving my by face to my folded arms that was on the table.

"Ugh I'm so sleepy." I said.

"What time did you sleep this time?" Anna asked, probably with crossed arms.

"Idk and idc. I just wanna sleep but I can't sleep in class. Or at least I don't wanna." I said facing them as I rubbed my eyelids.

"What exactly we're you doing last night?" Mackenzie asked. "You weren't online on any of your social media accounts. What could you be possibly doing?"

Should I tell them? Or.. maybe it's best if I don't

- flashback -

"Just go to sleep already." I groaned.

"But you-"

"No buts. I'm already sleepy okay? Just call again tomorrow." I said trying my best to keep my voice down so my brother, who is sleeping on his room which happens to be next to mine, won't wake up.

"Alright alright. But I'm calling you on 5 in the morning." Jack said.

"What are you gonna say anyways? If you need to say anything just say it now." I said before plopping down my bed.

"I just wanna talk to you. Is it so wrong?" Jack asked. Shoot again with the butterflies.

"Um. Yeah?" I answered a bit unsure.

"Why?" He asked then I heard a noise from the other line and then cursing. "Stupid table." I heard him mutter. I just let out a giggle.

"Are you okay back there?" I joked. "No." He simply answered. I just laughed again.

"Seriously though I have to sleep. We have school tomorrow and I don't wanna be late." I said.

It would've been fine if we were still staying at our house neat the school but we aren't since dad's already here we moved back to our house need the country side since they thought it would be better if dad would stay away from crowds for now. It's a thing about politics I think.

"Wait I got s-"

"Good night Jack." I said cutting him off. "Just call again I'm already sleepy" I added, fake yawning.

"Yeah. so.....I'm gonna call at 5, right?" He asked. I just stared at the ceiling, not answering his question. Ugh, why am I not so sleepy all of a sudden?

I looked at the screen of my phone to check the time. 11:36. And he's still not sleeping either. He hasn't even ended the call.

"Um Elsa are you there?" I heard him say. I just tried not to laugh.

I was about to speak but he spoke first. "Alright then, good night. And I love you." He said. I felt my cheeks heat up, also my ears and I felt the sudden urge to pinch myself for some odd reason.

"Uh, Elsa. Seriously are you still listening or are you already asleep?" Jack asked from the other line.

I sighed deeply before I could speak but again I get interrupted. "Well this is awkward. I'm basically talking to myself." He said probably thinking I am asleep already.

"Wait what time is it anyways? 11:44?! What?" He said. Talking to yourself. Nice. I guess I'm not the only one that does that.

"Should I set up an alarm or not? I have to wake up at 5 or maybe 4:50 something. Yeah I'll j-"

And by that he ended the call. Okay. Sleep time.

I closed my eyes and tried to get comfortable at my bed but then each position I make I never felt comfortable which is usual because I normally get sleepy at this position, and time.

I just checked my phone again for the time.

12:07. "This is gonna be a long night." I thought before hitting my face with a pillow.

-end of flashback-

"TV." I replied not looking up.

Maybe it's best if they don't know about me and Jack's "secret hangout". Yet.

"Oh, they were playing 'Hunger Games' at Star Movies weren't they?" Anna said.

"Yeah. I watched it too but I never finished it. I didn't even make it half way." Mackenzie said.

"Hunger Games? Which part?" Aubry joined the conversation.

"Mockingjay I think?" Anna answered.

"Yeah." Mackenzie answered. "Part one."

I felt my phone vibrate so I secretly brought it out to my pocket while I'm still looking down.

I saw the unsaved, yet very familiar, number that texted me. Yep, it's Jack. I didn't mind saving his number since he constantly messages and calls me. Plus Anna might grab my phone again and starts back reading through our conversation. That's the last thing I'd want to happen.

Specially now at this time since Jack constantly messages me flirty messages and sappy love quotes. I honestly did not know he had that side of him. Like this for example.

Baku-shan, I got no practice today. What time is my God father/ father-in-law gonna come to pick you up? I need to know how long is the time that we'll be able to talk to each other.

It would've been a great, very sweet message if only he didn't call me baku-shan. I knew I shouldn't have told him that word.

I sighed and sat comfortably on my seat and replied.

Haha very funny nelipot. Dad's gonna come early today. Plus he is not your father-in-law. And you can talk to me in class idiot. We sit right next to each other.

And sent. I pocketed my phone and turned my attention to the three who never stopped discussing about the movies that they saw from tv.

"Wow guys, from 'move on' to movie reviews about 'the notebook'" I said laughing. They just shrugged.

"It's a good movie." Mackenzie said. The two just shrugged.

"My mom never lets me see PG 13 movies." Anna said. We all looked at her weirdly. "You're already 15 Anna." I pointed out.

"I don't know. It's them who told me so. I can't even watch 'The fault in our stars'" Anna shrugged.

"That is mainly because your mind is like a 10 year old's mind. You're a Tad too childish." Mackenzie said. Anna just glared.

"That sounded mean." Aubry said trying hard not to laugh.

"Nah. My point is.... you don't even know what sex is." Mackenzie said as if it was a random word. That is just.... I am speechless. She said that out loud in a public place. In the school's cafeteria.

"What's that? Gender?" Anna said.

"Here we go again." Aubry muttered. I just laughed before I felt my phone vibrate again.

Okay. I have some questions that I need to ask you. 1. What's a nelipot? 2. Did you not pay attention to my story last night? And 3. The other creep on my right is annoying and will definitely cut our conversation and butt in. Do you want that to happen?

I sighed. And looked at the two who is in a mad conversation about the craziest topic ever.

"So it's a bunk bed?" Anna asked. "No!" Mack groaned.

"But you said they sleep on top of each other. On a bunk bed someone's on the top and so-"

"Forget it." Mackenzie sighed.

"Let's go to back to the homeroom?" Aubry asked.

"Yeah." Us three answered in unison as we all stood up. Then I felt my phone vibrate again.

Hey you haven't answered my questions yet. I know you already saw it. I saw you reading it at the cafeteria.

I just laughed quietly and replied "stalker" to him before putting my phone back to my pocket. But then it vibrated once more so I brought it out again.

"Who's that?" Anna showed up to my side her eyes focused on my phone. She came out of no where.

"No one." I replied also checking the screen which said:

Plus how am I so sure that you'll talk to me and not Tadashi?

"No one?" Anna raised her eyebrow as my phone vibrated once more and showed another text.

You're letting Anna read this? I thought you didn't want to know about our "secret hangout"?

And after reading that Anna immediately grabbed my phone from my hand once more.

This is another reason why I never wanted to tell anyone that I'm hanging out with that doofus. They'll freak out.

Like Anna for example. She doesn't even know who that person is and she's already bugging me about it.

"Don't back read." I said clicking the lock button. Good thing I always kept my pin codes long. That way even when I tell them they won't remember.

"No fair!" Anna groaned as I snatched it back. And by that we have arrived to our seats. Well, my seat. Aubry sat on her chair which is in front of mine and Mackenzie sat on Brady's seat, which is beside Aubry's, and Anna sat on Jack's seat, which is beside mine and behind Brady's.

And after that, back to our usual pointless conversations.

-time skip-

"I didn't know you we're friends with Kelley's son." Dad asked as he took a spoonful of peas to his mouth.

"He's the one your daughter constantly hangs out with." Mom rolled her eyes.

"Oh so he's your boyfriend! Why didn't you say so?" Dad said making me almost choke on my food. Elson laughed.

"No dad he's not my boyfriend. I never had one." I said before taking a bite on my beef.

"But didn't you two go to a date?" He asked. I mentally rolled my eyes.  "It's not a date dad it's a hangout." I answered.

"That's not what he said." Elson snirked. I glared at him before speaking. "Oh shut up."

"Aren't you at least gonna introduce me to him personally? I'd like to meet him before you two can go to another one of your hangouts." Dad said making a teasing tone when he said "hangouts". That's dad, he's childish in so many levels.

"Yeah sure." I said boredly. Of course not losing the sense of sarcasm.

"Tomorrow. It's Saturday. Tell him and his family to come over for brunch." Dad said. My eyes widened.

"But you already know them." I whined. "Mom?" I faced mom, hoping she'll say no to what dad said.

"You know I haven't seen Jack for a while, how come you never ask him to come here now?" Mom said.

Oh God. Why is my family like this?

"But he isn't even my boyfriend, why does he have to come here with his parents?" I asked.

"We all know that's where it'll end. At least we'll get to know him better and warn him about the consequences when you two will ever have se-"

"Dad. That's just..... No. That never crossed my mind. Ever." I said looking down.

"Your father's right. The last thing we need to know is your pregnant. You still have to finish your studie-"

"Mom. I know. Can we please stop talking about this?" I said a bit annoyed. Seriously, during a meal and that's the topic they chose.

"Tell him they're going here for brunch or I'll be the one to contact his mom." Mom said.

Wait, what?!
