It was midnight. I awoke to the sound of his shifting around in my bed.
"Why are you up?" I asked him
He turned to look over at me. Smiling, he whispers "I just had the loveliest dream about you."
"Oh? Please tell...in detail."
"No." He smirks. "It was too lovely to describe in words. Maybe I could reenact it instead."
I scoffed. "It's 1 AM. I have work in the morning."
He tried sliding his hand down my thigh. "You're always too busy for me."
I flicked his hand away and got out of bed. "Whatever, I'm going out."
"...but it's late. Who are you going to see?"
I pulled a black dress shirt from the bottom of the bed. I flung it over my shoulder and opened the door to get out. "Your mother," I said to him.
I didn't turn around to see the look on his face but I could tell he was frustrated. "You're such a pest, Alex." He whined. "Don't expect to see me when you get back."
"Good." I thought. I hated him. I hated everything.
