“Wow, this kitchen is amazing.” You say as you stepped into a huge open kitchen with stainless steal appliances, marble counter tops, dark wood cabinets and drawers, a kitchen island and an open dining room. “Yes, and it’s got everything you wanted and more.” The relater said looking around at everything. “We could do so much cooking in here, have both families over at once.” Harry said running his hand across the counter top. “How many bedrooms did you say this house had?” You asked looking over at the relater.
Harry and you had started talking about starting a family a while ago but now you both were ready to settle down and move out of your 1 bedroom apartment. So when you heard Harry had some time off you started to call around and found a relater who was willing to put up with everything you both wanted and didn’t want. You both had totally different opinions on houses but when you found the perfect one you two would learn to love it no matter how much you didn’t.
“It has 4 bedrooms. We can go look at them if you want to now.” The guy said looking over at you two. You looked over at Harry who nodded then the three of you were on your way upstairs.
“That’s all the houses today. If you’d like to look at more, we can set up for a time tomorrow and then go from there.” The guy said locking the front door of yet another house you guys just looked at. “Um, I think we’re going to go home and sleep on it and talk about it more before we go any further. But if possible, could you look for some more houses and one of us will give you a call and let you know what we’re doing.” You say as you walked to the car with Harry by your side.
“Sounds like a plan. I’ll go back to the office now and look for some more for the morning.” The guy said before walking off to where he parked his car and got in. You turned to Harry and saw that he had a sad expression on his face. “Haz, What’s wrong?” You asked as soon as you got to the car. “I’m just tired and this house hunting isn’t working for me. Maybe we can get a rain check on the house hunting tomorrow?”
“But Haz, we’ve been talking about this for months now, and now you just want to stop?” “It’s not like that, it’s that I’m going back on tour in a week. Don’t you think we can just stay in the apartment until then since it’s only going to be just you?”
“But if we get a house I can at least fix it a little so then when you come back from tour you’d actually have somewhere nice to go? Our apartment is falling apart each and every day.” You say leaning up against the car door. “(Y/N), I’d love that… But I don’t want you to be in that house all alone by yourself for 8 months! I can barley stand it when I’m gone for an hour and your at home alone. I’m just looking out for you, and you know that.” Harry said pulling you into a hug. “It seems more like your babying me.” You mumbled against his chest. As soon as you two got into the car, you knew that it would be a silent drive home. The both of you didn’t even talk when you got home. You both went your separate ways. Harry went to the bedroom and you walked over to the phone and called The Relater.
“Hi, Harvey… About tomorrow, I don’t think we’re going house hunting. My Fiancé just doesn’t think it’s the right time to be doing this house hunting.” You said as you sat down on one of the chairs on your balcony of the apartment. “Oh dear… That’s a real shame. I found some really great houses that I think you two would have loved and agreed on.” “I’m sorry. Maybe in a few months I’ll be back by myself and look for some.” You said putting a hand over your eyes then noticing how much energy went into the house hunting. “Thank you anyway for letting me know about Tomorrow… Have a Good evening Ms. (Y/L/N).” You then hung up the phone and put it on the ground before you heard the door open then close.
“Who were you on the phone with?” Harry asked sitting down beside you. “Harvey. I told him not to bother about tomorrow.” You said taking your hand off your eyes and looking over at Harry. “Well, if you had to pick a house now, which one would you pick?” “I really liked the 3rd house. The one with the nice kitchen and the four bedrooms.” “Really? I would have picked the 5th one. I liked that one the best…” Harry said before you two started to fight over which one was better.
1am… 2am… 3am… You were still up thinking about what you and Harry had said. He wanted another apartment with 3 bedrooms and barley any space for kids if you do ever have any. You wanted the one where the house was a friendly environment for the kids to grow up, they could have space to play, do anything they wanted to.
You picked up the TV remote and started channel surfing to see if anything was on. Nothing but police/detective shows were on, or home shopping commercials. You heard the bedroom door open then you felt the spot beside you on the couch go down. “Babe, I’m sorry. I was tired and I just needed so sleep, but now I can’t sleep without you beside me. Please come to bed.” You turned and saw Harry’s once kinda neat hair a complete mess now. You knew that he had been tossing a turning.
“I’m sorry too. I should have listened to what you had to say instead of getting mad at you.” You said reaching out and taking his hand which was on his lap. “Come to bed. It’s late and I know your tired also.” Harry said getting off the couch then pulling you up with him. He kissed your hands which were intertwined then guided you to the bedroom where you both got under the covers and fell asleep.
