He writes and writes
The thoughts flow through his hand
Wonderful pictures created
All from an unknown land
She reads and reads
Tears rolling down her face
His work of art slowly made
As each line takes its place
He glances up at his one true love
And he knows this is long over due
He slowly reveals his latest story
But wait! He shows her the old ones too
She trails her finger Down the novel without words
A story hidden, with a jerk of a sleeve
Only one thought races through her head
How could I have been so naive?
One heart is beating against its cage
While the other is in a sickening twist
But it all came to an end
With a simple kiss to the wrist
Her love poured
Into a simple action
Completely unaware of
The life saving chain reaction
She doesn't care
That he's a self harmer
And just because of that
His heart is just a little bit warmer
