As I walk in the deepest trenches of the earth, I hear skulls crushing.The skulls of my enemies and 'friends'.
I scoff. The term 'friends' wasn't something powerful, successful, strong people used. And I aspired to be one of those people. No--- I WAS one of those people.
The world around me was in flames, but my followers and I were unaffected. Only we were immune from my doings.
I felt a smirk spread across my face. All those idiots...believing what I had told them. I was powerful....but things could have turned out different. Completely different.
I snap myself out of these unnecessary thoughts. And I turn towards the future. The cold, dark, beautiful future!
I feel laughter escape from my lips. To any commoner, would have sounded maniacal.
But I couldn't care less. This was my world.
