"I spy Carrie's butt!"

I hurtled up from my position on my make-shift yoga mat. It used to be a daily ritual. Wake up, yoga, shower, eat, go back to bed . . . but then school let out and coming back home did kind of screw up my routine.

Rick pouted at me. "I was goin' to join you. I want do Downward Facin' Dog, too," he said, frowning at me with a snooty look.

"That wasn't Downward Dog." Thankfully I hadn't said it. Had I, it might have been a bit more rude. Usually I became very technical and demanding with my yoga, and people who had no idea what they were doing or talking about absolutely outraged me. Thus; why I was home alone--save for the boy in my old room who had come to correct my brother's misguidance of the exercises.

Trying hard not to think that said boy had obviously been in the room watching me stretch without my knowledge, I glared at my brother.

"I was stretchin'."

His eyes grew huge. "That's stretchin'?! I can hardly touch my mid-calves."

This time my eyes grew. "Maybe you should try some yoga."

He snorted, rolling his eyes like any other typical man. "Sure. I'll get on that."

James laughed with him, making the same above-girly-exercises look. "His buns aren't looking for a stretching, Care."

Glaring, I spoke through clenched teeth. "Yoga doesn't just stretch your buns. I'll have you know when I exercise I brake out into sweat."

Rick laughed haughtily. "That's because you're a girl."

Used to his somewhat sexist jibes, I turned to James. "It also helps with heavy liftin'. It strengthens muscles."

"So do push ups."

"If you guys are going to be asses you can leave me alone!"

Rick laughed. "She's only mad because we're right."

With an annoyed glare I stomped up the stares, taking extra care to make sure the higher I got the more noise I made. Quickly though, I turned back around on the landing and called the boys back to where they could see me. With a quick, stealthy flick of muscle, my left leg was in the air by my head, hands not required to hold (though it did hurt for more than a couple seconds).

"I couldn't do this before yoga." Then I turned and stomped my way to Katie's room.

Katie was at a friends for the day so I had perfect timing to sleep and keep sleeping.

"Kansas," Charming sang in my ear. Rolling over onto my side, my arm flung at him, but did not touch him in my half-sleep. "Psst. Wake up."

I grunted some gibberish through hardly open lips and then felt my face go slack as slowly I began to drift back to La La Land.

That is, I was drifting.

Wha--poof!

I screamed and kicked my leg out, catching James in the knee, his pillow falling as he did. I reached for my own pillow and brought it down on his face while he kicked the back of my foot causing me to stumble.

"I'm goin' to kill you," hissed I.

He gave an evil smirk and winked. "Try me."

I pounced at him (though was not intimidating with me being a whole head shorter), swinging a pillow at his face and failing to actually hit him as he took a step back.

"Why'd you have to wake me up like that?!" I screamed, enraged with the male before me.

He smiled. "I seriously tried waking you up with words before, but you didn't do anything so . . ."

"You resorted to clawin' my face off?!"

"Yes," he said, seriously, "with a pillow."

I screamed and threw the pillow at him with all my force. It hit him smack in the throat. Quickly, though, I realized my mistake. Clear across the room was another pillow, and here I was with no armor.

FML.

Charming laughed, throwing his head back. "And I shall win!" He came at me next with two pillows, swinging them by their cases like numchucks.

One came flying at me with the speed of a bullet. I screeched and ducked down, just as it skimmed over me. Unfortunately James was now right in front of me, standing up with the pillow above his head. "Any last words?"

"You're an assho--"

He hit me over the head with his pillow, surprising me when white feathers poofed everywhere from the impact. James burst out laughing, falling to the ground beside me, hands clutching his stomach. He inhaled air like Mia's nine month self inhales food.

As he laughed and tears escaped his eyes, he tried forming words. "Your--" cut off of course by his hilarious laughing. "And--" again, how hilarious. "Have--" ha-effin'-ha. "Oh--".

Yep.

I glowered at him.

His laughter slowly subsided and he leaned his back against the bed, legs spread as he stared. "Sorry."

"You have to sleep sometime."

His lips cracked into a smile. "I'm shaking in my boots."

"You'll be pissin' in your pants soon enough."

James frowned. "It's weird when you cuss."

"It's weird when I'm woken up to a pillow bein' chucked in my darn face!" I yelled, pulling the hair at the top of my head.

He laughed. "I hear you liked it rough."

My mouth dropped. "What I would like rough is to hit you with some sandpaper!"

He laughed loudly. "Oh, Kansas. You make me LOL." Then he laughed again. "I heard Katie say that the other day."

I giggled too. She did have a knack to say some really immature things.

"What do ya say, Kansas, eh? Oooh, baby, I could stick to you like glue, baby."

I'd never heard James sing before, and it was something I could honestly say I'd like to hear again. To sing me to sleep.

"What do I say to what?"

"You forgive me?"

I shook my head.

He gave a cute pout. "Why not?"

"You'll be sleeping soon."

"I'll stay up all night," he grinned smugly, reaching behind him to scratch his blond head.

"Me too. It's a good thing I took a two hour nap, eh?"

He blanked.

"Ohh!" I moved closer, getting on my knees to stand before him with my hands on my face. "Poor you doesn't have a lock on your door!"

He frowned. "You know I was joking."

I glanced around the green walls of my sisters room and the white comforter of her bed. The yellow pillows and brown carpeting . . . anywhere but him. He sighed and kicked my with his foot between my legs.

"It was a joke."

"Is my face red?"

He nodded.

"Then prepare to die!" With a speed I'd been mentally building myself up for, I leaped at him. My knees sank onto his thighs, restricting him from moving too much, whereas my fingers came under his armpits. James squealed like a little kid as I tickled him.

Oh, yeah. Who's wining now?

He laughed, his face red and a vein standing out in his forehead and neck. "Kan--stop--please!"

I cried happy squeals as my I carefully held onto him for good measure. "Any last words, James?"

He took a breath and tilted his head back. "Uncle, uncle, I'm sorry. Uncle."

I cackled and fell back onto my legs, now becoming the hyena I'd said he had been acting like. It felt good. Oh, yeah. Revenge was sweet.

He slumped as far down as my body between his legs let him, gaining his breath. "Hell, man. You're stronger than I thought."

Grinning sweetly, I whispered, "It's the yoga."

My eyes trailed his Adams apple as he swallowed. Immediately I was overcome with the urge to bite it. Thankfully I resisted.

"You watching me?" he asked, settling his hands across his stomach in defense against any other sudden attacks. James shifted to look better at me. "Are you looking at my mole?"

He was referring to the mole under his chin, just on the brink of being visible to the eye, but barely. It was small, with a pointy edge.

"Now I am."

He frowned. "Well stop.

My eyes rolled.  "No. I like it."

"I'm sure."

"I do. Honest. It adds character."

He laughed. "Sure it does. Most girls think it's gross."

Confused, I reached up to touch his little brown beauty mark. "It's just a swollen freckle."

He outright laughed, his head tipping backwards. "I guess it is."

It was quiet for a moment.

"Four girls have broken up with me because of this."

I was confused again. "Because of your beauty mark?"

Slowly, Charming nodded.

"I'm sorry, Lus, but every time I look at you all I see is that flipping mole!" he mocked a high voice and a snooty look. "Oh, James, there's hair on it! It's so gross!"

I touched his mole again. "There's no hair."

He shrugged. "I shave it."

Giving his chin one last pat, I let my hands fall to my sides.

"You really like it that much?" he asked, a smile gracing his lips.

I nodded, a little embarrassed.

"Kiss it," he said, smirking now.

"Kiss . . . your mole?"

He nodded and tilted his head back, showing me said mark.

"Uhm. Okay."

Leaning in, I pushed my mouth under his chin. He seemed to give a little shake beneath me. I leaned back with a triumphant smile.

"There ya go."

James' hand went from his knees to my sides and he pulled me closer to him with an intense speed. "Can I kiss you now?"

I blanched. "I--uhm--I--uhm--" Talk about random.

Instead of waiting for me to say something reasonable, Charming cupped the back of my head with one hand while his other arm held me closer. My stomach churned. I didn't lean away, though he did give me enough time to pull back if I chose. As he leaned in, all I could think about was that mole and how cute it was, and how soft his chin was.

His warm lips engulfed mine.

I'd expected a peck. Maybe a few at most, long lasting. Not for him to shove his damn tongue in my mouth.

. . .It's not like I minded, though.

I kissed him back tentatively, a hesitancy any new kiss experiences. He was warm. So warm. I found myself fisting his shirt collar in one hand and going under his T to the warm, now naturally tan back that was to be found inside with the other.

James shivered underneath me. My fingers were cold; they usually were. I shifted over him a bit awkwardly, still only sitting just between his legs. Charming cupped my butt and pulled my legs over his thighs, sitting me on him and then resuming to kiss me a lot less gently. He was right about one thing; I liked it rough.
