~Brea~
School. I hate school. The word it self after summer break makes me to never leave my bed. Which would have been possible if my best friend wasn't Wally West.
"Brea, get up!" Wally yelled jumping on my bed.
"Wally, go home!" I whined as I tried to pull the covers over me.
"Nope never, get up best friend!" He smiled as he fell on the bed laying next to me.
"I hate you, we are longer best friends." I told him as I tried to push him out of bed, Wally laughed as he rolled out of bed.
"Ouch, get up and get dressed!" Wally smiled pulling me out of bed. I reluctantly did and got dressed in my normal jeans, and a t-shirt. I walked downstairs to Mom, Dad and Wally at the table.
"Let's get a four person table. It will be fun, more room for Wally." I sighed rolling my eyes. Wally looked so offended and I shot him a wink. He kicked out the chair next to him for me to sit and I rolled my eyes as I sat down.
"Eat your cereal then Dad will drive you guys to school." Mom told me. "I've got to go work on this case I have." Mom smiled and kissed mine and Wally's forehead before giving Dad a kiss.
"Alright call me when your ready." Dad smiled before he went upstairs to put on his suit.
"Aren't you excited!" Wally asked, I looked up at him with sleep deprived eyes.
"No. No I am not." I told him, "Only you speedster could have so much energy."
"We have, homeroom, science, lit, math and lunch together! What's not to be excited for?" He asked taking mine and his bowls to the sink.
"Dad we'll be in the car!" I called. Before grabbing my bag and walking out. "I mean the others are hanging out at the beach today and were stuck at school Wally. Would you be so happy?" I asked him sitting in the front.
"The...the others are at the beach?" Wally asked sounding like his heart just got broken.
"Sorry Walls, maybe this weekend." I sighed as I got in the front seat, Wally sighed in the back seat.
"I don't get to see M'Gann in a swim suit!" He whined, I turned around and smacked his knee.
"Really Wally? Self control!" I scolded.
"Yes Mom." Wally mocked.
|At School|
We were sitting in the auditorium with our homerooms waiting for the principal to come out and talk to us. "Wally, I'm bored." I sighed resting my head on his shoulder.
"Same Brea. What are we gonna do this is gonna last the whole day!" He sighed, "I'm already hungry." He pouted.
"Well check my backpack Wall." I smirked, his eyes lit up like a Christmas tree and he grabbed it pulling out a granola bar. "Do I know my best friend or what?" I asked nudging him with my shoulder. He smiled and put an arm around my shoulders giving a quick squeeze.
"Hello students!" The principal began, "Where going to have a slight play of the ins and outs of high school for the freshman so all you upper class men can relax and enjoy. Though there is only minor pda remember. No making out, no sitting on laps, holding hands is okay and so is arms around shoulders. Quick kisses will be tolerated but don't do them every five minutes. Other than that, enjoy!"
"Thanks god were upper class men." I smiled, Wally smiled too on his fifth granola bar.
"Slow down there bud, you'll get a tummy ache." I told him jokingly. The girl sitting next to Wally looked at us and then brushed her brown hair over her shoulder.
"Are you two dating?" She asked, her voice annoyingly nasally.
"Please Brea and Wally, date?" Our friend Jackson scoffed, "Please, those two wouldn't know love if it hit them in the head."
"Oh, so you wouldn't mind me giving you my number?" She asked.
"No, I wouldn't babe." Wally flirted as he took his arm from around me and leaned forward, I rolled my eyes. It wasn't my fault he's a flirt but it did annoy me a little.
The lights dimmed and I focused on the play, no longer wanting to have a conversation with Wally. But as it went on I found my self leaning back into my seat and looking at him. His gingery hair was always one of my favorite things about him, it gave him so many nicknames, fire head, hot head, gingy, ginger and more. His freckles was another thing to add to the list, I loved trying to find things in them. He was a like a night sky filled with starts that made up beautiful constellations. His eyes were defiantly my favorite thing, the color green they fit him perfectly. I loved them, when he was angry and his eyes were narrowed, or laughing and they were filled with joy. I feel like Wally's eyes were the gate way to who he was. He was strong too, I don't know why I'm looking at him this way. I'm kinda glad that the room was dark so he couldn't see my cheeks heating up, also glad he didn't have super hearing because my heart is racing. I shuffled in my seat and glanced at him again. His smile was to die for, so where his lips. I turned and started to watch the play when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Hey." Wally whispered.
"What's up?" I asked.
"What else do you have?" He asked, I rolled my eyes and dug in my bag for some food.
"You haven't even been running you dork, why do you need so much food?" I mumbled.
"Hey, I'm bored." He shrugged.
"Well your outta luck chuck. I don't have anymore food." I told him, he heavily sighed and laid his on the seat throwing his arm around me. I scooted closer to him and resting my head on his shoulder. "Think I get in trouble for a nap?" I asked. He smiled and looked down at me.
"Probably yeah, and if I have to suffer. You have to suffer." He told me winking. I sighed, I couldn't wait for this day to end.
|Time skip|
Wally had rushed me home and told me to change into my swimming suit. I pulled my hair into a ponytail and grabbed my floppy hat. Wally came barging into my room handed my a bunch of stuff scooped me up and ran to mount Justice.

Wally set me down and ran in tripping over the umbrella. "Idiot." I laughed. I looked up and saw a girl with blonde hair in a ponytail...a green arrow on her chest?
"Brea, come here." Dad told me, I looked at the girl then him. I shook my head, I felt betrayed by my own father.
I turned around and went back home.
"Brea!" Wally yelled but I was back home.
Once I was home I ran up to my mom who was making dinner. "Brea, sweetie what's wrong?" She asked startled.
"Dad-dads got a new protégé!" I cried. Mom turned off the stove and sat me down on the couch.
"Sweetie, Did you want both Dad and I to take you under are wing?" Mom asked making a small pun.
"He didn't even ask me if I wanted to try it out!" I cried.
"Well people can't know where your parents. It be too risky baby bird." Mom explained gently.
"Really?! It really is to much to ask to show you guys care about how I feel with this whole superhero life?" I asked angrily.
"Calm down baby bird, come sit down." Mom spoke gently pulling me into her arms and shushing me as she hummed a song.
"Don't you worry my small child. I will be here all the while to guide you through the uncertainty of life. To be your shoulder to cry on, the advisor, I will be here all the while. So rest your eyes and do not cry. Everything will be alright." Mom sang, as she rocked back and fourth.
I woke up laying in my bed, not quite sure what happened but something did. There was a knock at my door and Mom came in with chicken noodle soup. "Here you go song bird." Mom smiled and kissed my forehead.
"Feel any better?" She asked, I shrugged.
"I love you mom."
"I love you to Brea, now go to sleep." She smiled kissing my head again.
