Wednesday: 10:30 am
Sean's POV
I'm still sitting with Ariana, rubbing her back so she can fall asleep but she keeps whispering 'I'm Sorry Sean'.
"What's wrong?" Taylor asks, coming in and sitting on the bed.
"I don't know. I think she's still trying to take it in."
"Sean, she's in shock. Shock because you are here. She's in shock because she's having trouble deciphering what you said. She doesn't know if she should believe you because this is the 2nd time, Sean." Her voice raises at the last sentence."
"I'm sorry." She whispers, leaving silently.
"I can't believe I did this to you, Ari. I'm sorry for doing this to you. I love you so much. Please come back to me. Please, please, please."
Ariana's POV
I lay here on my bed, eyes open, unable to do anything. I can't say anything, can't do anything to let him know I can hear him.
"Sean, I can hear you. I'm right here. I love you." I try to say, but it doesn't come out.
1 Hour Later
Sean's POV
"Sean?" She whispers, her voice croaky.
"Ari? Ariana, baby, is that you?"
"Yeah, Sean. It's me. Am I ok?"
"Yes, baby. You're fine. You're perfectly fine."
"Thank you for coming back. I love you. I'm sorry for putting you through this."
"It's ok, Ari. I love you more."
"No, I love you more."
"Words cannot explain how much I love you. I will travel to Pluto and back to show how much I love you. I will scream it from Jupiter on the way there."
"Fine, you win. Can you bring everyone up here? I want to see them."
"Of course. Anything for you, my love."
"Please don't start talking like that. I don't want to be called that."
"Sure, my love."
"Ugh, I hate you."
"But you just said you loved me..."
"Go get them!" She yells.
"Ok."
5 Minutes Later
Ariana's POV
"Mommy!" Jordan yells.
"Ariana, are you ok?" Taylor asks, coming to sit by me on the bed.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks."
"Mommy, what happened?" Kaylee asks.
"Nothing you need to worry about sweetie. I love you."
"Love you too."
"Aly, come here." Alyson climbs on the bed and hugs me before going to sit in Taylor's lap.
"Mackenzie, Oliver, Karmani. Front and center." All 3 of them hug me and stand by Sean.
"Love you fam. Mommy's ok, Jordan." I say to my crying child as she climbs next to me on the bed.
"Ok mommy. I love you."
"Love you too, J."
Everyone finds a spot in the huge room and we watch a movie until the kids fall asleep.
12:30 pm
"I'll take the kids." Sean picks up Jordan and takes her into her room while Taylor takes the twins to their rooms.
"Kenzie, come up here. Wake up Oliver please."
"Olly, wake up. Ari wants us."
He slowly gets up and climbs on the bed.
"Guess what."
"What, Ari?"
"School starts next week. Oliver, you're starting 1st grade. I'm sorry proud of you because you're a year ahead. You used to be a 2 years behind." He smiles up at me and I turn to Kenzie.
"Kenz, you're starting kindergarten. Aren't you both excited?"
"Yes. I get to see Chloe." (If you don't know who Chloe is, first of all, you probably didn't read the first book. Second, she's been Mackenzie's best friend since Kenz was 1 and Chloe was 2 when they were in daycare.)
"That's good. I'm sure Chlo misses you too."
"Only I'm aloud to call her Chlo. She said so."
"Ok. Go downstairs. I'll be down in a second."
I get out of bed and go to Karmani who's 'asleep' on the couch.
"Karmani, wake up. You're starting school too. I know you heard every word I said to the kids because you're not asleep."
"How'd you know?"
"Because I can see your smile. You're a bad actor. Want some lessons?"
"No, I'm good. I'm excited to start the 3rd grade, though. I can finally take the CCCT."
"Remind me again, what is that?"
"The CCCT is the California Core Curriculum Test."
"Yeah, that. You better pass, or else someone's be going to 4th grade next year."
"Hey, I'm gonna pass. Come on." She takes my hand and we go downstairs.
"Ready for lunch?"
"I think Jaidon is." Taylor says, taking him out of the crib.
"Your turn." She says, handing him to me.
"My little boy. He's so cute." I go into the kitchen and make him a bottle then feed him and burp him before going back into the living room to put him back in the crib.
"Let's go eat some lunch."
"I'm too lazy right now. Sean, go get us some Chipotle."
"Please." Karmani says.
"Please!" I groan and he smiles, kissing everyone on the forehead before leaving.
"Let's go swimming!"
"Yay!" We all go upstairs and change into our bathing suits and come back downstairs and outside.
