"Wow," Lauren breathed resting her forehead against Camila's.
"I know," Camila whispered.
They just shared their first kiss and it was perfect. It was more than that but beyond perfect was indescribable. As soon as Lauren's lips were on the brunette's lips she felt something so magical. Everything made sense. And Camila felt that spark too. It's like their lips were made for each other's. They belonged together.
"Sorry," Lauren giggled pulling away blushing hard. "I...um just don't know what to say."
"Me neither," Camila said looking into the piercing green eyes and the green eyes looking back.
"I think we should just not say anything right now and see where this goes?" Lauren suggested.
"I'd like that," Camila nodded with a smile.
"Me too. Well, I guess I should go," Lauren said snapping out of her staring. "I got a lot of homework to finish for Monday." She got up from the bed making her way towards the door.
"Uhh yeah same," Camila said scratching her neck awkwardly and getting up from her bed. "I'll walk you out."
The two girls walked downstairs where they were met with Camila's whole family.
"Hey, Dad and Sofi. How was the park?" Camila asked her father and little sister. They went to the park as they usually do every other Saturday afternoon.
"So much fun!" Sofi squealed running up to hug Camila.
"And crowded as usual," Alejandro chuckled. "I see we have a guest."
"Oh right, Dad, this is Lauren she was in Chicago with me and we go to the same school now," Camila explained to him gesturing to the girl beside her.
"Oh yes, I remember how could I forget? You did so well in that show. 'Cell Block Tango' cracked me up," he chuckled.
"Thank you," Lauren smiled at the compliment.
"So, Lauren, are you staying for lunch?" Alejandro asked.
"You can if you want," Camila suggested.
"Umm that's okay. I have a lot to do at home but thanks anyway," Lauren declined. Camila nodded and led her to the foyer.
"Thanks for coming over and telling me what happened. I'm gonna kill Shawn," Camila said with a smirk.
"Don't be so hard on him. He really didn't do anything wrong," Lauren explained inching a bit closer to the smaller girl.
"I guess not. He kind of helped in a way," Camila blushed reminding herself of the kiss. "Well, I'll see you Monday," Camila leaned in pecking the green-eyed girl's cheek.
"Yeah, see ya," Lauren smiled with flushed cheeks.
As Lauren walked back to her car and drove home, she couldn't help but smile from ear to ear like an idiot. She kissed the girl that's had her heart for months. Maybe she does have a shot at being with the beautiful actress after all.
As Monday rolled around, Lauren couldn't have been more excited to see Camila. After the kiss they exchanged on Saturday, the dancer couldn't stop thinking about it. It was everything she hoped for and more.
Camila thought about it just as much. She had a hard time completing her homework because she either kept texting Lauren, flirting with her more than ever, or she would text Dinah gushing about the kiss and how amazing it was. Either way, her mind was filled with emerald-eyed beauty all the time.
Lauren pulled up to Camila's driveway at about 6:50 am as she did every other week day for carpool. Camila kissed her mom and dad goodbye and hurried outside to meet her dream girl.
"Hey!" Camila squealed hopping into the seat.
"You're very chipper for a Monday morning," Lauren chuckled.
"Well, I'm always chipper when I get to see you," Camila flirted.
"Oh, Camz, such a little flirt," Lauren smiled and shook her head playfully.
"Camz? That's cute. I like that nickname," Camila smirked.
"Thanks and I'm the only one who gets to call you that."
"Cause you're special to me," the brown-eyed beauty grinned with butterflies in her stomach.

"I think you should ask her on a date," Normani said quietly to Lauren as they sat in the library studying.
"I want to but I'm literally the worst at planning dates. You know that's not how I roll with women."
"But this is not just any woman. It's Camila! The love of your life," the dance captain teased.
"True. The Camila part, not the love of my life part," she countered. "Where would we even go?"
"The movies? Hey, better yet why don't you take her to a play or musical? That's better than the movies and more of your guys' style," Normani smirked.
"A Broadway musical on a first date?"
Normani shrugged.
Lauren was surprised at Normani's suggestion but it wasn't such a bad idea. However, going to the theater is more of a big deal than going to a movie. For starters, theater tickets are far more expensive than movie one's, you dress up, and probably have dinner beforehand. This was a serious first date and nothing like what she's done with any other girl.
The green-eyed girl only had one girlfriend in her life, Keana. It was during Sophomore year but it ended too soon. The relationship only lasted two months but the girls were very much into each other, almost in love. They went on few dates together before they made it official and then hooked up. It didn't work out since Keana had to move to Tampa and they thought long distance would be too difficult so, they just remained friends. Well friends with benefits. Whenever Keana would come back to visit Miami she would see Lauren and they would go to parties and hook up. It wasn't ideal but they loved each others bodies too much to let each other go completely.
Ever since they broke up Lauren never found anyone else that caught her eye. She's been with other girls besides Keana but only to sleep with them. They were just drunken hook ups and she's regretted them so much since she developed feelings for the brown-eyed beauty. None of them were special and she wished she would've saved herself for someone who was. But Camila was special so Lauren decided give in and take her to the theater. This could help Lauren better herself and rediscover what love really is.
"Okay. I'll ask her after rehearsal," Lauren confirmed.
Now, Lauren was nervous. She knew of Camila's feelings for her but this was a big step.

"I really like her but I don't know how to make the next step," Camila confessed to Shawn as they were warming up backstage before their play rehearsal.
"Well, what do you guys typically do?" Shawn asked stretching his muscles.
"We just kinda talk and text a lot. But I mean a lot like sometimes we'll be on the phone talking or skyping all night and fall asleep while were still on the line. It's cute cause we'll wake each other up in the morning," Camila giggled. "She'll come over sometimes too and we'll talk some more, cuddle, watch Netflix, and sometimes kiss in my room," Camila swooned with a wide grin. "But that's all we've been doing for a couple weeks now."
"You guys are adorable. Why don't you ask her on a date?" Shawn questioned.
"I don't know. Do you think she'd like that?"
"Mila, come on, she's into you just as much. Lauren never goes on dates but if it's with you, she would in a heartbeat. Trust me."
"Okay well that's nice to know. Where do you think we should go?"
"How about dinner?" Shawn suggested. "Lots of time to talk and you can learn what she likes to eat. That's good to know for future reference."
"Hmmm dinner," Camila pondered. She's never taken a girl out before. Heck, she's never had the confidence before.
Camila was never comfortable with her sexuality before attending South Miami. Her parents were very religious and didn't believe that homosexuality was acceptable. So, Camila had always kept it a secret from them that she was gay, fearing that they wouldn't love her anymore. Sinu and Alejandro tried to get Camila to meet their friend's sons and set them up but Camila would never like them. Most of them were fuckboys anyway which, even if she was straight, was a definite no.
The brown-eyed Cuban was always attracted to girls but would be too afraid to admit it, even to herself. She's repressed her feelings all her life not telling a single soul her secret. That was until she met Lauren. After looking into those green eyes, Camila couldn't help but fall for her and since Lauren was gay too and many other people at South Miami, she felt accepted and not so alone. Recently, she's come to terms more with her sexuality becoming more comfortable every day. All of her friends knew by now but she just needed more time to tell her parents and that to her was impossible.
"Okay. But I can't tell my parents that I'm taking her on a date. I'll say we're going out but they'll assume it's just in a friendly way as usual," Camila rolled her eyes.
Sinu and Alejandro noticed their daughter getting closer to Lauren and they couldn't be happier. Camila never had many friends and they were glad she was finally making some at this new school. They loved when Lauren came over. She was always so nice to them and Sofi but obviously never knew about her making out with their daughter upstairs. If they knew about that, hell would break loose.
"You have to tell them someday, Mila," Shawn said.
"Never in a million years," Camila stated mimicking Zayn's voice from the 'Best Song Ever' music video.

"So, Camz," Lauren started. They were parked outside of the dancer's house after driving back from school.
"So, Laur," Camila grinned.
"I've been thinking about us a lot lately and I kinda wanna like take you on a date?" Lauren confessed pretty awkwardly. It's been years since she's done this.
"Wait. Really?" Camila was shocked since she was supposed to be asking Lauren.
"If you want. I mean you totally don't have to," the emerald-eyed girl rushed, nervous of rejection.
"No! it's okay. I want to...I-I was actually gonna ask you on a date too," Camila said quietly.
"Oh...really?" Lauren said confused.
"Yeah," the Cuban giggled. "I guess great minds think a like."
Lauren blushed.
"What were you thinking of doing?" Camila asked.
"Well...I was sorta thinking about maybe going to see a play or musical. I know it's kind of a big deal for a first date but we're both into theater so it'd be perfect for us," Lauren explained.
"Oh wow. Going to see a show? That's way better than what I thought of," Camila muttered feeling embarrassed.
"If it's too much then we can totally do something else," Lauren rushed again.
"No no it's perfectly fine. I love that idea. I was just embarrassed that I didn't think of something as good as that."
"What were you thinking of?"
"Dinner? I know that's so lame."
Lauren cut her off, "No, that's nice! Don't feel bad."
"Are you sure?" Camila asked insecurely. "I've never been on a date before and I really like you, Lauren, but I'm just not experienced with this at all."
"Camila," she stopped the girl from rambling, "I really like you too and well, maybe we can both do what we thought." Camila's eyebrow raised in confusion at the older girl's words. "How about this...you take me to dinner and I'll take you to a show both in the same night. Dinner and a show."
"That sounds perfect," Camila smiled.
"It's a date!" Lauren said excitedly.
The two laughed and Lauren kissed Camila on the cheek before exiting the car. This date was going to be amazing.
