(A.N: I thought this pic was pretty funny...idk, maybe)

(No one's POV)

The transfiguration professor swiftly made her way through the endless corridors until finally arriving at the end of the gargoyle corridor. She stood in front of the Griffon-like gargoyle eyeing it for a moment before muttering the password. "Pixie Puff" She was brought up into the headmasters tower where she was greeted by none other than the headmaster himself. "Ah, Minerva, I assume all went well with Ms. Church" Professor Dumbledore spoke softly. "Yes, all was well" Professor McGonagall sighed which earned her a questioning look from the headmaster who folded his hands over one another as he waited for her to continue. "But it is as we thought, she has great abilities and little control of them, Albus" The look she gave him told him that she was concerned. Professor McGonagall gently placed the folder of information taken during her observations of the vampire girl, onto the professors desk. He looked down at the folder momentarily. "So you have uncovered special information, I see~yes, very well done" Professor Dumbledore gave her a warm smile. She frowned slightly. "Albus, she's like him!-" "-Now, now, Minerva, calm yourself" The professor instructed her to which she reluctantly did. "I'm sorry, Albus. She can use Legilimency" The nimble professor confessed. The headmasters eyes held a slight twinkle to them, a curiosity you could say. "Minerva, many students can learn this-" "-She didn't learn the skill, Albus, and she can use it non-verbally. Without her wand" At that professor Dumbledore furrowed his eyebrows slightly. "Minerva may I remind you that I am also skilled in the use of wandless Legilimency, why does this concern you?" The bearded professor questioned. "She can use Elemental magic, Albus, not only that but more specifically fire" Professor Dumbledore's eyes widened behind his half mooned spectacles. "And she holds a deep hatred for werewolves, it may not be much now but you know where this leads, Albus" McGonagall seemingly pleaded. "Maybe not, Minerva, I have high regards for Ms. Church. Unlike Mr. Riddle who sought out to acquire the use of these skills, Ms. Church was given these abilities as gifts, she will be taught to use them properly" Professor Dumbledore concluded authoritatively. "Of course" McGonagall agreed. "However, I'm curious as to whether Ms. Church is capable of Parsletongue" "Not that I am aware of. But If she were to possess such a skill what would this mean?" Professor Dumbledore sighed before replying. "It would mean that Ms. Church has an extremely high chance of traversing down a dark path" "Albus, she has similar physical characteristics-" "-She's not a descendant of Tom Riddle, I can assure you of that" Dumbledore interrupted the deputy headmistress. "How do you know?" "It sounds as if you don't trust me. But if you must know, Minerva, it is because of her sister" "The Hufflepuff girl?" "Indeed, Minerva. She's a Hufflepuff. Any descendant of Tom Marvolo Riddle would surely ended up in Slytherin as well as inherit the ability to speak Parsletongue. In contrast to this the Church family has a renowned pure-blood background, Tom Riddle was indeed a half-blood" Professor Dumbledore explained. "Is it possible for her to be a descendant of Salazar Slytherin himself?" Professor Dumbledore paused to ponder this idea for a moment, she had seemingly dumbstruck the headmaster. "I suppose you are correct, there is a possibility, Minerva. It seems some research will need to be done. Well if that is all" Dumbledore said dismissively. "There is another thing, Albus" the bearded headmaster looked up to his professor signalling for her to continue. "There is another vampire attending the school" McGonagall informed him. Professor Dumbledore sighed lightly. "What is it, Albus. Is this an issue?" "Not entirely but if I can recall I had specifically told him that all was under control and that there was no need for him to send someone to watch over her, I suppose he took matters into his own hands" McGonagall looked taken aback. "What do you mean, Albus?" "I assume the student you refer to is Mr. Grey?" "Y-yes but-how did you know?" She stuttered unsure of how to deal with the situation. "Mr. Grey is Mr. Sakamaki's cousin, there is no need to worry, he's here simply to ensure that his cousins fiancé remains well, he poses no threat" Dumbledore explained simply. "But she does not know of them being related?" McGonagall informed him. "It would appear not, it would be best to keep it that way for now" Said the headmaster.

(Harry's POV)

I was walking through the courtyard with Rachel and Ron. Rachel was carrying her books in front of her as she walked, both of us listening to Ron as he talked about how great Quidditch was when all of a sudden two pairs of hand grasped each of my shoulders. "Hey, well done, Harry, Wood's just told us!" Fred congratulated me. "Yeah amazing job, Harry. Being seeker sounds exciting" Rachel praised. I felt heat rise to my cheeks as she smiled at me. After Fred and George mentioned how violent Quidditch was I was unsure if I wanted to play. ""Bye Rachel"" Fred and George chorused as they scampered off, Rachel gave them both a small wave as they ran off. "Since when are you so popular?" Ron questioned. "Dunno" She shrugged. "Oh, go on, Harry, Quidditch is great. Best game there is!" Ron encouraged. "But I've never played Quidditch, what if I make a fool of myself?" "You won't" Rachel reassured. I smiled at her. "She's right, Harry, you can't make a fool of yourself it's in your blood" Hermione piped up from seemingly nowhere. She drags us all to a trophy case in the trophy room and points out one with my dads name on it. I gawked at it. "Wow" Rachel said in amazement. "Whoa! Harry, you never told me your father was a seeker too" "I-I didn't know" I stuttered full of shock. I had no idea my father was a seeker. I guess it was in my blood. "Merlin's beard! Rachel look! Your father's on here too!" Ron exclaimed pointing at a trophy with the inscription 'Leonard Church, Slytherin Seeker/Captain, 1972-1977' on it. "No way, your father was also a seeker, you two have a lot in common" Hermione wiggled her brows at me causing me to blush once more. "He was Captain too, never mind being a Slytherin" Ron said dismissively. Surprisingly Rachel took no offense to Ron's comment, she was too busy starring at another trophy in the far corner of the case. "What is it Rachel?" Hermione questioned as she went to see what she was looking at. "Is that-" "-My mom" Rachel confirmed. I looked over her shoulder and noticed a trophy similar to the others with the inscription 'Allison Jade Mellor, Hufflepuff Keeper/Captain, 1975-1979' "That's your mum?" Ron questioned curiously. Rachel's expression turned grim. "It was" "She was an amazing player" Hermione said as she patted Rachel's shoulder comfortingly. "Rachel you have to try out for Quidditch, you were born for it!" Ron exclaimed. "I have to wait till next year, not even my father can pull those kinds of strings" She informed him. "Yeah, I guess" Ron huffed. I really don't understand why he seems more excited for other people to play Quidditch rather than himself. "Don't worry Rachel, I bet you'll make a great...uhh Quidditch player" I stumbled over my words. "Smooth~" Ron muttered behind me. "Shut up" I whisper yelled at him causing him to smirk in reply. "What Harry means to say is you could either be a Seeker or a Keeper, it's up to you but there no doubt that whatever it is you'll be great at it" Hermione jumped in. Thank Merlin for her quick remarks, she saved me on that one.

*Time Skip brought to you by a not so fluffy, Fluffy*

We soon left the trophy room and where headed to the Gryffindor common room, minus Rachel and Hermione who were both headed to the library to spend the rest of the evening studying. I honestly don't know how they enjoyed studying so much. We were heading up the stairs when I glanced at Rachel, since we had left the trophy room she'd barely said anything. She was usually a talkative person but now she was silent with a blank expression on her face. I'd never seen Rachel look so dull and un-involved. It saddened me and I wanted to ask what was the matter but I knew she wouldn't answer truthfully. I felt it had something to do with seeing her mums trophy. So many times she'd talked to us about her sister and father but never really mentioned anything about her mother. Ron had brought up the subject once asking Rachel what her mum thought about her being sorted into Slytherin, she avoided the question by stating 'It was either Slytherin or Hufflepuff, we all know I'm not the Hufflepuff type' to which we all laughed off. At this point I had three theories, either her mum left her as a child, Rachel hated her or she died, I didn't dare ask her which one it was for fear that I'd either anger her or make her cry. I'd make it my goal to find out what was bugging Rachel and make it right. Suddenly the stairs jerked causing us all to grip the railings in order to steady ourselves.

(Rachel's POV)

Hermione gasped and Ron let out a frightened yell. I merely managed to keep my balance as the stairs began to moved with us on them. Another thing I should've seen coming. Stupid. Broken. Vampire. Senses. 'Ugh!' I mentally groaned. "What's happening?" Harry questioned in a slightly panicked tone. "The staircases change, remember?" Hermione re-informed. "Honestly you'd think they'd create a charm that only moves staircases when students aren't on them" I hissed lightly. Suddenly the stairs stop moving once they aligned with a different pathway. Harry tapped Ron's shoulder and ushered me and Hermione forward. "Let's go this way" "Before the staircase moves again" Ron exclaimed almost sarcastically. We all head towards a door and simultaneously open it to reveal a dark and spooky hallway covered dust and cobwebs. "Does anyone feel like...we shouldn't be here?" Harry asks skeptically. Ron and I both nod to engrossed by our surrounding to speak words. "That's because we're not supposed to be here. This is the 3rd floor. It's forbidden" Hermione says matter o factly. "This is the 3rd floor? I thought we had stumbled upon the Haunted house section of the castle" I stated sarcastically, my expression remaining blank. The trio looked at me strangely. "You didn't actually believe Fred and George when they told you that, did you?" Ron questioned with a concerned expression. "She was being sarcastic, Ronald" Hermione rolled her eyes at Ron's obliviousness. "How the bloody hell was I supposed to know when she keeps a straight face like that!?"

Suddenly the four of us whip around when one of the stone pillars fire pits light up. I caught a whiff of something moving towards us, it had the strong scent of...Cat! "Somethings coming hide" I instruct, pushing Hermione further down the creepy hallway. "What!?" Ron whisper yelled, Harry grabbed him by the forearm and followed after us. In a split second the rest of the pillars began to light up as we hurriedly rushed down the corridor. We all came to a halt outside a large wooden door, Harry grabs the handle and tries to open it but it doesn't budge. "It's locked" He replies worriedly. "Why are we even running?" Ron questions. I couldn't tell him that I smelt Cat, could I? No! I couldn't, that's crazy. "I saw a shadow" *Mentally face palms* 'Way to go Rachel, if they don't think you're crazy now they'll think you're a coward' "A shadow?" Ron repeats skeptically, quirking an eyebrow at me. "MEOW"

"Shadow of a Cat, hide!" I panicked. "What's so bloody scary bout a cat?" Ron exclaimed. "How many cats do you know that roam this school freely?" I asked him. He stared blankly at me. "Bloody hell! It's filch's cat!" Hermione snapped at the oblivious ginger. "Now we really gotta hide" Ron panicked. "But the door's locked" Harry exclaimed. Hermione and I simultaneously roll our eyes. "Oh, mover over" Hermione says pushing the boys out of the way. "Alohamora" She muses flicking her wand at the doors lock. We all shuffled into the room. "Alohamora?" Ron questions. ""Standard book of spells, chapter 7"" Me and Hermione say in unison. Both boy shrink back. I suddenly feel the presence of another life form in the room with us, I glance behind me and my eyes widen. "Guys" I whisper quietly but it goes unnoticed because the trio is busy wondering whether Filch had left yet. I slowly back towards Harry and lightly tap his shoulder. He glances at me and I point behind us, he turns and his eye widen like saucers. "Probably thinks this door's locked" Ron mutters. "It was locked" Hermione replies. "And for good reason" Harry cuts in. The other two turn to face Harry and I's direction and they finally see what we were looking at. "Don't move, don't scream" I murmur softly as I stood completely still. I was in front of the three staring directly at the three headed dog that began to stir.

"It's waking up~" Ron whimpers lightly. "Shh!" Hermione shushed him. "Maybe we can lull it back to sleep" I whispered "Forget that! Let's get outta here!" Ron exclaimed desperately. The three headed dogs eyes shot open. ""RONALD!"" Hermione and I chorus. "Oops" Ron said apologetically. "You're gonna have to do a lot better than 'oops' if we get out of this" Harry said as he grabbed my hand and yanked me towards the exit. The three headed dog jumped up aggressively and began to bark. "AHHHH!!!" The four of us screamed before running out of the room, I was the last one out. But just before we shut the door one of the beasts massive paws made it out, I felt its claw snag my robes and skin. It tore the fabric at the side of my cloak as well as the left side of my rib cage. I let out a shriek, which could've easily been because of the pain or the fright of being caught by the animal. "RACHEL!" Harry exclaimed but before he could even move a single muscle to help me a burst of flames emitted from my hand as I spun around in attempt to free myself from the best. The fire struck the creature causing the it to yelp and retract its paw. It released me and I fell to my knees, the three instantly slamming the door shut after. I panted, eyes wide and shaking slightly.

"Rachel are you alright? Are you hurt?" Harry bantered me. In all honesty I felt like I was about to pass out but I had to be strong. "I'm f-fine" my voice wavered as I spoke. I could feel the blood dripping from my side, there's no doubt that the cut was deep but I had to push through it, I couldn't let them find out that I was hurt, there's no way that I'd let them take me to Madam Pomfrey. The wound would be completely gone within days there was no point. "But your robes-" "-It only nicked my robes, nothing more" I reassured him. "Come on let's get outta here" Ron ushered. Harry helped me up, I winced at the pain but luckily no one noticed. "Hermione, I don't think I'll be joining you for a late night study session. I think I've had enough for one night" "Completely understandable, I think I've had enough as well" Hermione agreed. We walked silently until Ron spoke up. "What do they think they're doing? Keeping a thing like that locked up in a school" Even Harry seemed to be thinking it as well. "You don't use your eyes, do you? Didn't you see what it was standing on?" Hermione questioned. "I wasn't looking at its feet! I was a bit preoccupied with its heads. Or maybe you didn't notice, there were three!" We stopped once we came upon the staircases, I'd be heading to the dungeons while they'd be heading up to the Gryffindor common room.

"Why else would someone have a dog like that? For protection purposes. It was standing on a trapdoor" I stated nonchalantly. "Exactly, that means it wasn't there by accident. It's guarding something" Hermione concluded. "How do you two notice these things?" Harry asked with amazement clear in his eyes. "We use our eyes" "We pay attention" Hermione than I replied. "Now if you two don't mine Rachel and I are heading off to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed" "Or worse, expelled!" I finished both Hermione and I turning in opposite directions and heading to our respective common rooms. As I walked down the stairs I heard Harry call out to me. "Rachel wait!" "Huh?" I turned around to see him jogging down the stairs towards me. "What is it, Harry?" "Do you need me to walk you to your common room?" He offered, a tint of blush across his cheeks. A jolt of pain in my side prompted me to respond quicker. "N-no, it's okay, I don't want you to get in any trouble" I stuttered suddenly. "I really wouldn't mind" He informed. "I'll be fine, Harry. Go on off to bed and I'll see you tomorrow" I reassured him. He frowned slightly. "Alright, goodnight, Rachel" Bid Harry. I smiled at him sweetly. "Goodnight, Harry"
