Harley's POV
I heard voices so I began to wake up. I rubbed my eyes and stretched my arms before looking around, this wasn't my room this wasn't even my house. "Where the fuck am I??" I asked nothing in particular.
"You're at my house, you fell asleep with Alec while watching a movie" I'm pretty sure I looked startled because I heard laughing.
I looked around once more and the first thing that caught my eye was Alec curled up with his head on me. It caused me to smile, as I looked further I was met with the faces of Jay, Brodie and Ace. "What's up??" They laughed again
"Nothing much, we ordered pizza it should be here soon." I nodded
"How long was I out??" They smiled
"Well you were sleeping when we got here so we don't know exactly but I'd have to say about and hour and a half to two hours." Replied Brodie. Meh that's not to bad. I turned to them
"What time is it??"
"Half five, why??"
"Just wondering that's all" they nodded.
I felt movement next to me and looked down, Alec had moved so he was almost completely curled up on me, I couldn't help but smile at him, I wrapped my arms around him and I heard him sigh. It was then I remembered what he said when he came out of school. "Hey jay I have to ask you something" he looked over at me
"Sure ask away"
"When I went to pick him up" I began man this is going to be harder than I thought. "When I found him by the gate he looked upset. When I asked him what was wrong he said that he thought you'd forgotten him" Jay sighed. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to but I was just wondering why."
Jay sighed again "No it's fine, Alec was upset because of what happened with our parents... They left us like we where nothing, like we weren't important. He had it worse than I did though. After mum left, dad had to look after us and one time he was supposed to pick Alec up from kindergarten. I had just gotten home when the house phone rang, they said that our dad hadn't picked Alec up. I raced over there as fast as I could to get him, he was terrified I don't blame him, he was three at the time, three and he was left there. That kinda thing can leave a kid feeling messed up, like they weren't good enough and Alec thought that I'd left him like they'd done to us that was the last we ever saw of him that was just over two years ago." I nodded, I understood what he meant after my mum died and my dad left, the only person I had was Hunter to look after me. I understood how it felt to feel like you weren't good enough for someone to stay. I tightened my hold around Alec, I don't know why but I felt protective over him, maybe because he'd gone through similar things to me, maybe it was because he'd gone through it all at such a young age. What ever it was, I didn't care. I was gonna look out for him no matter what happened.
I was brought out of my thoughts by the doorbell. "That'll be the pizza I'll be back" yelled Brodie as he ran down the hallway. I smiled as I lent back into the couch, Brodie walked in a few minutes later with the pizza and stuff. I looked down at Alec, he'd need to eat as well, I began to gently shake him
"Hey buddy, come on" he didn't move at all "come on Alec you've gotta get up" he began to move. He yawned
"Whaa??" He said as he rubbed his eyes I smiled
"Come on buddy you gotta get up, you've gotta eat" he looked up at me through sleepy eyes
"Where's Jay??" Jay smiled and walked over to his brother
"I'm right here" Alec put his arms up and Jay picked him up.
Alec sat on Jays lap while food was sorted out. I couldn't help the smile that was on my face as I looked at the brothers. The way Jay protected and loved his little brother and the way Alec had so much trust in his older brother to look after him. The way they where together was just amazing. Alec even looked almost like a mini Jay, the only difference was his eyes, they where a bright green, while Jays where grey. Other than that they where completely alike.
"Hey Harley when do you have to go home??" I snapped out of my thoughts at the question
"Uh whenever, my brother knows that I'm here" they nodded at my answer. We sat there eating pizza, talking and messing about while the tv played in the background. At half six my phone rang it was my brother
"What's up bro??" I asked
"Nothing much, when will you get home??"
"Whenever you want me to be, why??" I heard him sigh at the other end
"I've gotta meet some people" I got a shiver down my spine
"Not them again"
"Yeah, them"
"What time do you want me home then??"
"Well I was actually hoping that you would stay round Pixies' or Spiders' house but I can't get ahold of them"
"Uh huh, so where am I going to stay then??" I asked that's when Alec spoke up
"Stay here??" Hunter must have heard him
"Har where are you??"
"I'm round Jays house, you know since I was babysitting his brother"
"Uh huh, pass the phone to him for a sec"
"Ok" with that I gave my phone over to Jay. He walked out the room and spoke to my brother. When he came back in he looked kinda weird. He threw my phone at me which I caught.
"What did my brother say??" He grimaced
"He said you could stay but if there was any funny business, he would track us down and castrate us" he said pointing at Ace and Brodie they shuddered.
"Cool so how's this going to work out then??"
"Well we could all stay in the living room or there would have to be some room sharing, it's up to you." Since I didn't wanna take anyone out of their bed I went with the living room option.
All the boys agreed, the only other thing left to sort out would be what I'd wear. "Cool so what do I wear to sleep since I'm not wearing jeans to bed" Jay scratched his neck, I've got a shirt you can wear, and I guess you could use a pair of my joggers, although they might be big" I nodded since I knew there was no way in hell I would borrow any clothes from the other two, they where bigger than Jay so their clothes would drown me. I cuddled with Alec while Jay got me the clothes.
When he came back he told me to change in the bathroom while everyone got changed in their rooms. I hurried to do so, because I didn't want Jay to see my tattoos. I stripped of my jeans and top before putting Jays top on, it came down to my upper thigh. The joggers where only slightly to long in the leg so I rolled them up the real problem was the waist, I pulled on the string and tightened as best I could. It would hold. Once I was out the bathroom I walked into the front room where the boys where shirtless. "Where's Alec??" Was all I asked before he came down struggling with his pyjama top. I smiled at him and sorted it out before telling him to put his arms up, I them slipped the top on over his head and arms before picking him up and siting him on my lap once I was on the couch.
Jay looked at me weirdly, "what??" Was all I asked, he shook his head before looking at the clock
"Alec, you've got till seven ok??" Alec nodded at his brother. I looked at the clock we had twenty minutes till he went to bed.
"Hey buddy what do you wanna do??" I asked and he shrugged his shoulders at me
"Can we watch another movie??" I looked at the guys and they smiled
"Ok go get one, then" he hopped off my lap and went over to the movies. He picked one and didn't show anyone till he put it in. Once it was all done he grabbed the remote and ran back over to me. I put the blanket round us and he snuggled into me. As soon as the opening of the movie came on I couldn't help but smile it was Robin Hood.
We watched some of the movie when I heard delicate snores coming from Alec. I wrapped the blanket around him and stood up bringing him with me, Jay shot up "what are you doing??" He whispered
"Putting Alec to bed, if you don't mind" he shook his head and followed me up to Alec's room. I pulled back the covers of his bed before laying him gently down with his head on the pillow. I unwrapped the blanket and put his covers over him before kissing his forehead "night Alec" I then walked onto of the way as Jay went over to his little brother and places a small teddy next to him, before smoothing out his hair and kissing the top of his head
"Sleep well buddy" he then turned to me and we walked out of his room.
Once we where back down stairs Ace and Brodie where fighting over the remote. I couldn't help but laugh at the pair. Jay rolled his eyes and snatched the remote from them. "All right ladies that's enough now let's watch something scary" I chuckled
"Wanna pick the movie??" He asked me I shook my head
"An I'm good with whatever you guys wanna watch"
"Really now?? So you don't want me to sit next to you with a blanket so you don't have to watch the scary people" I rolled my eyes
"Whatever just put on the movie" Ace and Brodie laughed and chose one. Judging from the talk it was a horror, good.
Once the movie started I couldn't help but laugh they put final destination on, really they thought that this was scary?? The movie began and I relaxed into the couch as it began. When the people began to die, I smirked as they cringed, I laughed at a few of the deaths as well. Once the film finished Jay turned to me
"How are you not scared by this??" I smirked
"My brother watches horrors all the time, he and his friends even had marathons which I used to sit through" was all I said.
"You're a weird one Harley" I just laughed
"So I've been told" he just rolled his eyes at me as another movie was put on. It was surprise, surprise a horror movie. I smirked when I realised it was one that I'd seen. So instead of watching the movie I watched their reactions, what?? It's useful in fights to know your opponent and their reactions. False of habit I suppose.
While observing them I had noticed a few things, when Ace found something awkward or weird his left arm twitched ever so slightly. Brodie is literally like a child, he pulls the weirdest faces when he's grossed out and as for Jay his neck seemed to twitch which I found rather amusing.
I was just watching their reactions when Jays voice broke through my thoughts "are you checking us out??" I laughed
"No, actually I was observing your reactions, they're hilarious"
"Sure, if you say so, you're totally not checkin us out" I snorted
"Sorry dude but I've seen better" he rolled his eyes at me
"Oh yeah like who??" I smirked
"Plenty of people, for example my brothers friend had more muscle than you." It's not a lie, Spider was buff as hell. Jay rolled his eyes,
"No way" I smirked
"Whatever helps you sleep at night" Ace and Brodie where laughing at mine and Jays argument. We continued for a while longer, till we began watching the movie again. After a while my eyes felt heavy and sleep overtook me.
Jays POV
I looked over at Harley only to see that she was sleeping. I couldn't help the smile on my face, she looked so peaceful when she slept. "Yo dude, stop staring, it's weird" called Brodie, I flipped him the bird and he laughed "whatever dude." I smiled again and turned my attention back to the movie. After another movie, I fell asleep.
