I let out a deep breath as we stood on the front steps of Damon's house. I grew nervous mostly because I knew Zane would be here and I hadn't talk to him since the argument which was 2 days ago. Andy knocked again and started to grow inpatient. Then Damon came to the door with a goofy grin on his face. He leaned down and pecked Andy on the lips.
"Hey babe." He said. I pushed passed them and walked into the house and straight to the hangout room. Damon had invited me and Andy over saying that everyone was hanging out at his place. I walked in and sat on the hot pink bean bag and watched Cameron and Zane play a very deadly game of Call Of Duty. It's a shame really, these guys are game freaks. I watched as Zane snuck up behind Cameron and ended him.
"Victory beotchh! Pay me my fucking money!" Zane said throwing down the remote. I watched with a smile tugging at my lips as Cameron dropped his head in defeat. He stood up and grabbed a 20 from his pocket and placed it in Zane's hand. I looked around to notice Elijah sitting in the corner texting on his phone. What's up with him, why is he always hanging around? Zane eyes finally caught mine and guilt and hurt flashed across them. I sent him a smirk and winked. My mask was back up and I was ready to play some more dudes. The pain was no longer as strong as it had been. Now I was really numb about it, it seemed like a distant memory.
"Hey McKnight." I said a smirk still on my face. Happiness danced across his face and then shock and then confusion. Slowly he made his way over and my heart beat increased by a thousand. I pushed the feeling away as he sat next to me.
"Hey Nadia." He said nervously.
"It's about time you talk I was starting to think of you as a creeper the way you stared." I joked. A smile tugged at his lips and I saw his dimple that made me loose my breath. Damn, I forgot how perfect he was.
"That hurts." He said with a mock hurt expression.
"Oops." I said innocently. His expression went from happy to serious.
"So you talking to me again?"
"It appears so McKnight." I leaned closer letting my lips brush against his and ignored the electric feeling. I love to tease. He leaned in but I pulled back. "I love to tease." I smirked.
"And I love a challenge." He winked making my breath hitch in my throat.
"Look McKnight, I'd like to do myself a favor and forgive you at the fact that you cheated on me with that skank. But remember I said forgive not forget." I said honestly. I mean I couldn't move on if I was still holding on to a old burden. His eyes lit up with happiness and he gave me a half smile.
"Thank you." He whispered.
"Don't think we're getting back together." I said in a stern voice.
"You say that now, but we both know you can't resist my boyish charm." He said with a cheesy grin. That's why I love this boy. One movement and I forget everything. I leaned in and brushed my lips over his and then move to his ear.
"McKnight we went over this before, it's you who always come back to me." I whispered and kissed his cheek before pulling away.
"You still want me though." He said with a smug look. He was telling the honest truth. I wanted him so much that I it physically hurts.
"Nahh." I said with a smirk.
"Prove it." He said. I knew what was coming and I was prepared for it. He crashed his lips to mine and the fireworks, sparks, and butterflies went wild. I missed the feeling of his lips. I didn't miss a beat as I started to kiss him back. I can't believe I'm doing this. My heart rate went crazy and the zoo in my stomach went wild. My eyes fluttered close with pleasure as he slid his tongue in my mouth. He placed his hands on my thigh and I placed my hands over his. To quickly he pulled back and rested his forehead on mine with a smirk clear on his face. My breathing was heavy and his matched mine.
You fucking idiot! My brain cursed me.
That's how it all started! It cursed me some more. Then it dawned on me, my inner voice was right it all started when he told me to prove that I didn't want him. At this point I didn't care I was enjoying the feeling of just us. Just then someone cleared a throat and me and Mcknight snapped our heads in the direction. There stood a smirking Damon and a shocked Andy.
"Did we miss something?" Damon said winking at me knowingly. I placed a hand on my chin and pretended to be deep in though.
"Um nope." I said with a half smile. Andy just chuckled and shook her head as if to say 'I should have known' I responded to that look with a smile. Just then my phone vibrated and I fished it out my pocket and looked at the text message and then to Elijah who was sitting in the corner. [You back with Zane?] I read it over and over not knowing how to respond. Before I could respond Zane took the phone from my hands and typed a reply, I looked at it and my jaw dropped. "WE ARE NOT TOGETHER!" I yelled at him but he just smirked.
"Baby just play along." He winked and slung his arm over my shoulder and pulled me closer. His lips moved to my ear and a shiver ran down my back. "Look at him." He demanded. I slowly looked at him and he was staring at us, jealousy clear in his eyes. I half smiled at him and he sent one back. I moved out of Zane's grip and walked to Elijah. He sent me a forced smile and I didn't bother to send one back.
"Sorry about that we're not together, he's just being a dick." I explained and his eyes lit up with happines. He scooted closer to me and our hands brushed against each other. The sparks weren't like me and Zane's but I could feel a little something, I smiled at the feelings.
"Let's go out tommorow night?" He said, it was like he was half asking and half demanding.
"Sounds great." I smiled at him. He took my hand and linked our fingers together. "Look Elijah I should probably tell you that I don't do good with relationships, I'm just not a settle down type of girl." I explained. Which was a lie if the guy was right and everything felt right I'd be willing to settle down.
Like with Zane.
Ignoring my brain cursing me and refusing my eyes to look over at Zane I looked into Elijah's hazel eyes.
"Good 'cause I'm not a settle down type of boy." He lied. I am a awesome liar I can tell when others lie. I raised my eyebrow at him and smirked.
"Lie." I stated simply.
"Your right," He admitted. With him everything was easy if it was Zane we would have been arguing about that for 15 minutes but Elijah he just admitted to a lie. This wasn't going to work out.... I liked a challenge, Zane was a challenge this guy was just easy.
"Wow. That was easy." I muttered low enough so he couldn't hear me. After a minute of easniess I wanted something complicated so I went back over to Zane.
"Done already?" He asked with a smirk.
"We're going on a date.... tomorow." I said with my own smirk. His smirk quickly dissapeared and his hands balled into a fist. I leaned in close to him. "Jealous much?" I asked in a innocent tone.
"Never that baby girl, I can have you when I want." He whispered in a husky voice that sent shivers down my spine. I started to bite my lip trying to push the unwanted feelings away.
"Oh really?" I teased. Because he was damn right. As much as he hurted me and betrayed me and made me go through days of hell at the end of the day I still loved him and he could have me whenever he want.. But that I will never admit out loud.
"Yes really." His lips were brushing over mine and the electric feeling went throughout my body. "I can have you right now. If i wanted." He started to lean in closer.
"I don't think so McKnight." I whispered still biting my lip. I wanted to kiss him so bad right now.
"I know so Jenkins." Just move barely an centimeter and his lips are mine.
"I doubt that." I teased. He placed his hands on my hips and I let out a gasp as his cold fingers touched my warm skin. He smirked and pulled me closer to him.
"Is that a challenge?" He asked in a innocent tone. Our eyes were staring into each others and he slowly licked his lips, teasing me.
"Maybe." I smiled. Then he did as I wished he would have and claimed my lips, I didn't hesitate to kiss him back and our lips moved perfectly together. He gripped my hips tighter and I let out a gasp and he took the oppertunity to slid his tongue in my mouth. The electric feeling I had increased by thousands and a zoo ran free in my stomach. I placed my arms on his shoulder and pulled him closer to me. When breathing became a need we slowly pulled apart with both of us breathing heavy.
"I told you." He winked before getting up and leaving the room. For the first time in forever I was actually speechless. I rubbed a finger over my lips and smiled.
