ALSO: I know that the main character (and for that matter, probably supporting characters) would realistically be cursing up a mother trucking storm but since this story is pretty much as rated PG-13 as a typical Marvel movie would be, I've decided to keep language to a low minimum.

The sun is setting behind the trees that tower over me. They are old and ancient. I hardly make small observations of my surroundings as I ride my motor bike through the town of Mannheim, Germany.

My fingers clutch the handles of my vehicle as fire burns inside my soul. I check my watch, the wind pulling my stray locks of brown from my ponytail and making my face numb. My location is currently one hour and twenty-five minutes away from my destination: Stuttgart, Germany.

Almost there.

I haven't been on this mission long, only two days. Three hours ago it was the two day anniversary of my family and fiancé's death.

How did they die? Loki of Asgard killed them.

I know what you're thinking. 'Asgard'? Yeah well I didn't believe in all that nonsense either until I watched the gods in New Mexico fight a huge alien robot sent from the place itself. You learn a lot of things that you thought were never real when you spend an entire day hacking S.H.I.E.L.D.

Loki stole something from them just recently and blew up their base. He has stepped foot on the earth claiming to be a god amongst unworthy peasants. What a joke. He's murdered people because he thinks himself above them? He's messed with the wrong mutant this time. What? It's only fair that since he killed my family, I get to kill him. That's it. No more explanation needed.

It's justice. And I will have it.

I continue driving and for the rest of the way there is a scowl on my face; a glare forward that would make anyone avoid me. The sunset has faded now and the stars are shining bright in the night sky.

I wear motorcycle gloves but the tips of my fingers are freezing. Not that it bothers me. There isn't a whole lot that does anymore. But it seems that even if it's summer here, the air is still bone chilling.

Slowly the stars start to disappear and I can see the city lights shining up the sky. I'm close.

I swerve in between traffic as the anger grows in my veins. I feel my lungs breathe deeply to contain it, my heart racing. I don't think I've moved my fingers for a solid eight hours. And it wasn't until now I realized how long it's been since my world crumbled to pieces. It's his fault. It's all his fault and he'll pay for it!

I clench my teeth, shoving the pain deep within my being. It all boils into anger and hatred. I have something; a growing beast inside me that's crawling its way out of me. I will unleash it on him. I'll kill him. He'll die! I hate him!

I take a deep breath before my thoughts make me distracted. I worked too hard to die in a car accident. That being said, I speed up, eyeing the cars around me before I change lanes, cutting off the one to my left before he can block me. I turn and get in front of the next car, traffic getting heavier the closer I get to civilization.

I reach the city limits and I drive past the welcome sign. I speed up, knowing that I am nearing my destination soon.

As I am driving, I begin to hear sirens in the distance that get closer. That's when I see five police cars speeding quickly in one direction. I switch lanes and follow them all the way to a large building that has signs saying that there is a new exhibit. I'm guessing that it is a museum.

That's when I allow myself to go twenty over, knowing these cops wont care of some kid on a motorbike is speeding as I cut off cars and swerve, heading down the town roads once off the highway.

When I know I'm close I see a flash of blue far ahead where the cop cars were shot into the air and had crashed into the ground, craters of laser strikes on the side of the vehicles. Looks like I found my target.

I swerve around them and rocket over the sidewalk, passing scared civilians as they run, a woman carrying her expensive heels as I almost run her over. They shout and I skid my bike up the thin steps just as I see my mark. This image matches the ones on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files. He has his back turned.

My breathing becomes poison as a growl grows in my lungs and I throw my vehicle up, heading straight for him with wicked speed and I make the jump, my bike flying through the air as I prepare to land right on him.

He turns around just in time and uses his fancy scepter to zap my bike. It flies out from under me but at that point I have already let go. I let out a raging battle cry as my body heads for him like a cat attacking its prey, ready to rip out its throat.

His face shows slight surprise as I tackle him to the ground, my claws digging into his black leather armor until we tumble against the damp concrete, me rolling off him and catching myself. I throw my body to its feet to breathe hard, a glare in my eyes as my teeth grind together.

His golden horned Norse helmet has come off from the attack and he has to pick up his staff again, his slicked back, shoulder length, black hair visible now. He has a nasty face, slender and evil, his eyes a bright icy blue and red under them as if he'd been without sleep for years. His lips curl up into a Joker worthy grin.

I pull out my M9 Handgun and point it straight at his chest as people around me move and stand up. I had just realized there were others here; a whole crowd of people who were kneeling. They cower and start to move away from us.

"Is this who S.H.I.E.L.D. has sent to catch me? It seems you are the first one here," his slithering voice says in an elegant English accent.

I don't listen to his chatter, feeling the anger come back to the surface as my eyes lock with his, every cell in my being wanting him dead. Now!

I pull the trigger and watch the bullets bounce off his golden armored shoulder when he dodges it. I fire over and over as my mannerisms become furious and I take steps forward, his Asgardian attire blocking everything. "You bastard!" I cry out with rage as I shoot him until I have to reload.

"This one's persistent," he smirks at me. "Let us all see what happens to power in the wrong hands."

When I reload he has aimed his alien weapon at me and a blue plasma bolt is fired from it straight at me. I dodge it quickly enough for it to miss me but it knocks the gun from my hand. I just bear my teeth at him with fury and charge straight for him, crying out in utter rage as I throw my body towards him, my hands lacing with flames that are conjured through my fingers. He backs up a bit, his expression ready as he prepares to smack me with his rod. I teleport through him in a flash, appearing behind him to grab his throat with my flaming hands. I growl loudly as I burn him, my legs wrapped around his torso, the sudden weight bringing him down on his back on top of me as I choke him to death. He grabs my hands as his turn blue and the sudden cold burns me, steam sizzling from the touch as my teeth grind together but eventually I let out a cry and let go of him. He quickly stands up and I do the same, leaping to my feet instantly.

He swings his staff for me and I grab it, throwing my body up and smashing my foot against his jaw before I land back down. He stumbles a little but not much as he glares at me, anger taking his expression like mine. I don't wait to send another fist towards his face. He catches it and whirls his weapon for me and I duck, sending ice at his feet to freeze them there. He glances at that but is about to shoot me with his scepter again. I zap through him in teleportation, now standing five feet behind him as I watch him struggle. I got him. I use telekinesis to grab my gun from the ground and point it at him before I fire. But the bullet goes through him as if—

His illusion of him stuck in my ice trap disappears and I duck just in time to avoid being smashed by his scepter as his real form appears behind me. I roll on the ground and stand back up on one knee, facing him as he does the same. Alright so ice doesn't work.

I ignite my hands and arms with flames as I break the concrete around me, lifting chunks of it into the air as I glare at him, breathing hard.

"Why so hateful to your god?" he spats as if he has a right to rule me.

"The only God of mine wears a crown of thorns!" I cry out and charge forward, roaring in fury as I ready myself to destroy him with flames, the pieces of concrete behind me flying straight at him.

He has only a second to block one with an ice wall and the next smashes against his golden bracer. I have grabbed his scepter and knocked him on his back as I growl like a beast, roaring out as I send fist after fist against him and he fights me off, trying to do anything to get me off him but I eventually catch his scepter, anger burning through me as I let the fire on my hands turn blue, staring into his eyes as the weapon turns insanely hot, glowing red as his hands burn from the touch and he has to let go, panting hard from the pain as I throw the thing across the site.

I feel a hard punch in the face and I grunt, him able to shove me off and I tumble against the ground, holding my lip as I get up and he does the same. But I lunge towards him as he creates an ice spike from the ground that almost impales me. I have dodged it barely and I avoid a punch from him when I'm close. I conjure a knife of ice and swing it at him with a battle cry. He catches my arm and I send my foot against his leg, him letting go and grabbing my throat. I grunt and send my blade of ice into his arm but it smashes into frost. So I teleport from his grasp and appear behind him, sending my foot hard against his back. He stumbles a bit and swings around to kick me himself but I roll forward, plucking a knife from his boot before I stand up and catch a punch from him, bearing my teeth as I swipe him with the blade on the arm. But I think the fabric keeps it from slicing him that much and he grunts from the slash before his arm recoils. He uses his other hand to try to punch me, his hand frozen with ice to make a harder impact. But I dodge it and elbow his arm, blocking a kick from him with my hand laced with fire. I thrust my fist into his gut but he catches my arm and freezes me. I teleport out of the way before an ice spike comes from the ground and kills me. He turns around before I can stab his knife through his neck and hits my arm hard enough to knock the weapon from me. I roar and throw my fist towards him again but he blocks it with his bracer and I try to kick him but he dodges and sends his own fist to me. I move to the side in a flash and grab his arm beside my head to leap around him and onto his back, crying out in rage as I yank his body to the ground and teleport on top of him, pressing my hands to his chest to make his flesh burn with the fire on my hands. He almost cries out in pain and I growl, pulling my hand up to bring my gun to it. Once I have it I cock it and press it under his chin before I pull the—my weapon flies from my hand with a flash of blue and shoots across the concrete. I look up to see something land down a few feet from us.

It's the famous Iron Man, complete in shiny metal armor of red and gold. He holds up his wrist missile to threaten us. "Sorry to break up the date you two, but this guy is ours," he says to us.

"Ah the Iron Man. You're a bit late aren't you?" Loki smirks.

I look down at Loki and then back at Iron Man and growl. "No! I've worked too hard to find him to just give him up! He's going to die! And there is nothing you can do to stop me!" I conjure the sharpest icicle I can and I inch it closer to his throat, ready to spill his blood. "Any last words?" I ask.

He smiles for a moment then says, "Behind you."

I frown but then the body under me disappears and I turn around to see him before he readies to kill me.

I cry out in fury and leap for him again with flames all over my feet and hands. Before I can get to him someone grabs my arm and I don't even register who it is before I whirl my other arm around to elbow Captain America in the face and send a hard kick to his abdomen to make him let me go. I leap across the concrete towards Loki but his image disappears and a foot kicks me hard in the back.

I fall on my hands and growl. I turn around to see the captain and Iron Man there facing Loki before he takes one of his knives and is about to stab me.

I roar and teleport to him, knocking him to his back as I stand in front of him, breathing hard.

I look to my right when I see a large aircraft; not a plane. Looks like some sort of science fiction space craft. Must be S.H.I.E.L.D. An enormous gun comes from the bottom and aims at the God of Mischief, a female voice commanding him to stand down.

I look back at the Asgardian and make my gun  come back to my hand. I raise my weapon but Cap's shield smacks it from me and I growl, leaping forward but metal hands catch both my arms to stop me.

"No!" I cry in rage. "No! He's mine! He's dead! I want him dead!" I struggle against the grip but I have used too much power and cannot teleport anymore.

Loki has grabbed his staff and Captain Rogers lunges for him, hitting the prince's weapon aside and nailing his fist against his face. Cap brings his shield back as Loki whirls his staff, the man ducking and then smashing his shield against Loki's stomach, sending him on his back again with a grimace. The soldier takes the scepter and Loki looks up at the massive ship ready to kill him.

"Stand down," Rogers says sternly with a breath.

The Asgardian chuckles. "God's perfect soldier... the man out of time," he mocks him.

"I'm not the one who's out of time," he replies, fully armed as Loki is there, a bit injured and outnumbered.

I struggle and try to rip my hands from Iron Man's grip but I can't manage. "Let me go! I'll kill you first!" I rage. "He's mine! He killed my family! He's dead!"

"Calm down—," Cap tries to tell me.

I roar and send a fireball straight at him.

He blocks it with his shield and returns with his eyes wide.

"Careful with that one. She's quite the little whirlwind. And sort of a hot mess," Loki remarks as he stands up, giving the captain a look.

I growl.

"Loki is ours," Rogers says as I continue to struggle. "And he will pay for the lives he took after he tells us where he has hidden the Tesseract."

"I don't care about your mission! I want justice!"

"The only thing you would accomplish is leading the world into ruin. With the Tesseract he has the power to take over everything. Is that the outcome you want?"

"He'll be dead!"

"And something else will take his place. This isn't your war. And we'll make sure he pays for everyone he's killed—"

I roar and thrash, angry tears burning behind my eyes. I glare at Rogers, wanting to break free and kill them both.

"We'll let you have him after he tells us where he put it," Stark says as I breathe heavily. "He's yours then."

"But for now we have to stop him before more innocent people die," Rogers says.

"All this fighting over me is certainly flattering but can we get on with this imprisonment? Getting a bit boring here," Loki says without a care in the world.

I frown at him being okay with defeat. But I guess he is extremely outgunned.

"Loki's coming with us," the Captain says carefully to me as I begin to calm down. "We won't let other people die like your family while the cube is still hidden. His men are still going around the globe doing just that. And we have to stop them."

I clinch my teeth as some of the anger dies out, knowing his words make sense even if I almost refuse to listen to them. The back of my head is yelling at me to stop, showing me what it would be like if others had to go through what I did.

I suddenly lose my strength. The fury turns into pain and my gaze falls to the ground. I accept defeat as Stark lets me go. I collapse and my hands hit the concrete. I shut my eyes and try to control my rage. My heart is still beating hard and my insides are boiling. I let out a frustrated cry as I hear them bringing the ship down and readying to put Loki in as their prisoner.

I feel Captain America's eyes on me as I breathe hard, sitting there on my knees as my head spins with so many thoughts. Half of my brain is screaming and roaring, telling me this isn't what is supposed to happen and to kill him now! The other half is telling me to stop. That everything will fall if I kill him now. That others will continue to die.

The constant battle rages on until I hear the hatch open and they are about to put him in.

No.

No I can't let him go.

I've come too far to let him out of my sight.

I can't...

But I can't take on three supers at once and I'm weak.

But I can't let him go...

I stand to my feet in a panic. "Wait!" I call out.

They stop and look at me.

"Where are you taking him?"

"That's classified," Captain Rogers says.

"Then I'm coming with you." I need to get on that ship.

"Absolutely not."

I run forward to them. "I'm super. I have powers. I can be of use. Let me come. Please." I walk up to the captain as he takes his helmet off, his blue eyes visible under his set brow. "Please I can help," I try to convince him with the best desperate look I can conjure.

"There's no way we're letting you aboard. You almost killed us," he says insensitively, not buying it.

"But I have to come!" I beg. "After all of this I can't let him out of my sight! I won't kill him. Not until you get what you need. I pinky promise," I spat out without thinking. I realize that was something my mother and I always did since I was tiny. When we make a pinky promise we won't ever break it. I shove the memory of her holding my tiny chubby hands from my mind and swallow. "Please."

He doesn't change his hard look.

"I say let her," Stark comments, taking off his own helmet.

"That's not your decision to make," the captain argues.

"Do you see the one eyed Mace Windu here? Come on I'm sure he'd be excited to have another lab rat on the carrier," he almost smirks.

"Stark, she's dangerous. She'll risk our whole operation."

"I won't harm anything," I argue. "And I don't want to kill anyone. Why would I? My only beef is with the Asgardian."

Rogers turns to me. "There's no way we can trust you."

"...Then lock me up... As a prisoner." I don't care. So long as I am on that ship.

He frowns and exchanges a look with Iron Man.

"It's better than letting her go free," Stark raises a brow.

The captain thinks on that for a moment hard...

"What are we doing boys?" a voice calls from the cabin, probably their pilot wondering what the hold up is.

Rogers still thinks and then he looks down at me (being the short small girl that I am—well I'm as old as them but just small). "Fine. But I just want you to remember the pain you went through and think of that when you even consider sabotaging this operation. Because if this fails then that's what will happen to thousands of more people. Got it?" he says coldly.

"Yes sir," I reply. I'm in.

He just keeps a stone expression before turning and walking on board.

Yes! Finally.

Stark follows him and Loki gives me a look. "Oh my. I get a cell mate? How exciting."

"What?" I frown in worry. Oh no. I just now realize what I've done.

"We're going to locked up together it seems," he explains. "I hope you're ready."

"Just shut up," I spat with hatred before walking past him up the metal ramp. Oh gods... how are we going to be locked together? How will I manage not to kill him?

I will be sharing a cell with the person who murdered my parents and fiancé.

As this thought drowns me I take a seat by myself and try not to let my emotions get the best of me. This is not how I wanted this night to go.

I've been captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. Basically. And now I will be forced to be with this man and I cannot kill him until he gives information that I'm certain he won't give.

I shut my eyes and push emotion from me. I'm good at that.

Loki takes a careless seat at my side. "Your desperate soul is really intriguing you know," he teases me with an evil smirk. He now wears hand cuffs, courtesy of Iron Man who now stands by the captain as they ready to take off.

The hatch closes as I make fists. "You're so lucky I promised not to kill you," I say through clenched teeth, staring ahead.

"Hm the challenge is seeing if you can keep it."

"You're damn right," I mutter more quietly.

"You're nothing special you know. There are many people who want to kill me."

I shut my lips and try to keep from punching him.

"And I don't even know your name."

"It's Esther," I growl.

"Ah yes. I know a few tales about such a name. One of them is listed in a bestseller of your mortal planet."

"Yeah? You look like the kinda guy who spends his time reading," I spat, still refusing to look at him.

He chuckles dryly. "I don't think a squirrel can make a jest of someone else's physique, darling."

"Don't call me that," I say through grinding teeth as I look over at him in a flash.

"I do what I want," he replies plainly and sends a wink.

I clench my jaw and roll my eyes. I hate him. I can't stand him. He just murdered people and now he has the nerve to make jokes? He makes me sick.

I stand up from my place and walk over to the co-pilot seat to plop down in it, noticing right away that our pilot is the famous Black Widow. Of course I studied her in the past too. My father told me about her.

"So who's this new meat?" she asks as she gazes out at the night sky clustered with clouds.

"Esther Mason. And you're Natalya Romanova. I've read all your files," I reply while looking ahead too.

She gives me a look without looking at me. "That's sounds illegal."

"My hobbies include stealing, manipulation, and reading classified documents," I sass her plainly.

She almost eyes me. "Where'd you find this kid?" she asks a bit louder for the others to hear.

"On top of Loki," Stark answers bluntly.

This comment makes the Asgardian look up at the mention of his name before he glances at me.

Natasha pops her brows up and replies, "That's not something you hear every day."

I make a face of disgust and look behind me. "I was trying to kill him!" I say with frustration, the mere mention of anything like that with this scum sending me with shivers.

She smirks with amusement. "So does Fury know you've brought along another super? Or is she a prisoner too?"

"Apparently so," Captain Rogers answers. "And I wasn't planning on bringing another with us but if we can trust her I'm sure Coulson would be anxious to recruit another superhuman," Captain America answers her as he steps up where we are, glancing at me once with his hard expression unchanged. "But for now she insists on being locked up with Loki until she can kill him. Let's hope that's after we find the Tesseract," he continues.

"Looks like we all have something to sort out with that Asgardian, don't we?" Romanoff mutters with something behind her words.

I cut in with, "I made a promise not to kill him. And I don't break my promises. Not ever." I look out the window with a serious look, only remembering my mother.

Rogers is silent but Tony comes to join the conversation. "Prisoners sit in the back, Esther."

"If she's a prisoner, how come you didn't put her in handcuffs?" Rogers asks.

I look back at them with soft doe eyes. "You wouldn't put an innocent girl in handcuffs would you?" I say sweetly.

Stark smirks and looks at Cap. "I like her."

The Capsicle is a bit more uneasy.

I just chuckle and turn back around, putting my heels up on the dash.

"I agree with the righteous man," Loki comes in. "These are quite uncomfortable."

"Yeah? I bet they're the first ones you've been in that weren't furry," I mutter in disgust.

Romanoff chuckles as she drives, steering us gently to the left.

I notice something as the men in the back begin to argue about Loki not understanding what I meant. My eyes look out at the thick fog and my brows pull together. I take out my phone to my location and realize the weather says it's currently clear skies.

I frown...

That's when the rain starts to spray is lightly on the windshield, the tiny dots of water stretching across the glass as if to desperately reach the outer edge.

Romanoff frowns and flips a switch above her as slight turbulence occurs.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

The captain and Stark exchange a look.

"Surely you can tell me now."

...

"The Atlantic  Ocean," Agent Romanoff tells me.

I eye her with suspicion for a minute...

That's when ligthing flashes in the distance, lighting up the clouds with purple and white streaks.

It's not long before thunder follows.

My eyes glance at my phone that still says clear skies.

The ride becomes a bit uneasy because of the storm and no one speaks to each other now.

Loki looks up and then to the left, seeming a little nervous, a knowing in his eyes.

"What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" Rogers asks him.

"I'm not overly fond of what follows," he replies with a glance to the ceiling.

The ship rocks a bit as the captain exchanges a look with Stark because of that reply.

The thunder booms around us as we fly, Romanoff having a tough time keeping a straight route.

It makes me nervous too as it rocks our vessel and I hold onto my seat.

But just then something smashes on the roof of our little plane that makes everyone jump a bit and look up.

"What the hell was that?!" I ask as I grip onto my seat.

Some looks are exchanged before Stark grabs his helmet and the Captain his shield, preparing for a fight.

The iron man opens the hatch to find who is visiting but Rogers asks him, "What are you doing?" and having to yell over the sound of the rough wind.

As the door opens someone lands on the ramp abruptly and approaches with harmful intentions.

I pull out my pistol.

Stark puts up his hand ready to smite the threat with a laser beam but before he can fire the large man smacks him back against the floor with a heavy rectangular hammer, the blonde locks of this foe catching the wind along with a red cape. Of course. I've heard of this ding bat as well. It's Thor. Brother to my target, Loki. Another Asgardian prince.

Before the captain can act and while I start firing at the new guy, Thor grabs Loki from his seat beside me with a hand at his throat and plunges from the open door, anger in the man's eyes as he flies down from the ship with my target and out of sight.

"Dammit!" I add and hop from my seat.

Stark gets back to his feet and sighs. "And then there's that guy."

"Another Asgardian?" Agent Romanoff asks.

"Think he's friendly?" Captain asks.

"Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki or kills him, the Tesseract is lost," Iron Man answers before preparing to jump out.

"Stark," Rogers says, "we need a plan of attack."

"I have a plan: attack," he replies before rocketing from the open doorway where Thor left.

"You had better bring him back alive or so help me I will kill you as his replacement!" I shout to him as he jumps out.

Rogers grabs a parachute and buckles it on as I hold the handle above me.

"I'd sit this one out, Cap," Romanoff warns.

"I don't see how I can," he answers.

"These guys come from legend. They're basically gods."

"There's only one God, ma'am. And I'm pretty sure He doesn't dress like that." He runs and leaps from the aircraft.

I groan. I want to go and get Loki back, but I decide to let the men do that. I don't find it enjoyable to leap out of a flying aircraft.

Plus Rogers and Stark seem to be a bit more even tempered than I am...

I let go after the door closes and walk into the cockpit again. I sit in the co-pilot seat. "I don't think that Loki's brother will kill him. But I hope no one does anything stupid," I say as I look at the passing clouds outside.

"You have to get used to the way these guys do business. It gets pretty messy," she says, flipping another switch above her before turning the aircraft around. "So it should be easy to find them. Just look for the mile's radius of destroyed landmarks." She searches out the window for signs of this as she speaks.

"Well that should be easy to spot," I reply plainly as I look out the window at the ground below.

After a while we catch a glimpse of Stark flying across the sky in the distance and flashes of things, other than thunder though, that we see as well. Thor seems to be putting on quite the show in the trees beneath us; half of them destroyed.

That's when I finally spot Loki on a ledge of a rocky cliff. The platforms are large enough to land on so Romanoff lowers the ship down to where he stands, looking up at us when we park beside him.

"Now I'm playing delivery boy," she mutters as she relaxes the engines of our vessel to a hum. "You want to keep an eye on Loki? Be my guest. Make sure he doesn't get away," she says, opening the huge door for me as she contacts S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Thanks," I tell her as I walk out of the craft and I head towards Loki. I grasp his shoulder and push him towards the small carrier. While walking, I ask, "Just how many people want to kill you?"

"Too many to count, Lady Esther," he says while striding rather carelessly at my side.

I throw my hand up in front of his chest to stop him from walking. I turn my attention to the loud noises and I listen. I can hear thunder and trees breaking. I grab Loki's arm and pull him in the direction of all the noise. "I want to go and watch the brawl. All that noise makes it sound promising. And I always love a good fight."

He chuckles a little and follows me. "You who enjoys watching a death match yet judges me because I step in and take care myself?"

I respond while walking, "The difference is no one dies in this match. And the reason why I'm not leaving you alone is because I don't trust you. You killed all the people I love. I'm not letting you out of my sight. Not for one minute. I want to be there when this is all over so I can end your life... That's all I want," I finish saying as we reach the clearing where the fight is. Stark is shooting his little guns and missiles at Thor while Thor is throwing his hammer at the Captain.

He doesn't reply for a moment, looking down on the fight with a serious expression. "Some must die for the benefit of something larger." he says coldly and quietly.

I contemplate his theory and I bite my lip. I take a deep breath and say, "You do have a point. I mean, I've heard of something like this before. The story of Noah in Genesis. God saw fit to make the world better, so he flooded the earth and saved a few people so they could repopulate the planet and make it better. But, having the world destroyed now? That seems unfair since we have come so far since that time."

"I won't destroy your world. I will rule it with my righteous hand."

"It's not your place to decide that. Kings are appointed by blood dynasty or by the people. Or even God. He was the only one righteous enough to destroy the world by water."

"You seem pretty moral for a murderess," he says with a deceitful voice like a snake, the piercing eyes of this god of mischief playing at mine.

I shoot him a glare before I continue to look ahead. "I'm a lot of things. Immoral isn't one of them. I have a good reason for everything I do."

"And for killing me?"

I grind my teeth together and clench my jaw, making fists. "Justice."

"Hm... Well besides that. You won't stop me. And neither will this band of genetically morphed fools."

I eye him. "S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to try and prevent anything bad from happening by getting you to tell them where the Tesseract is."

"Which is why I won't tell them," he looks over at me, something heartless about his features, reminding me who I am talking to.

I growl. "You will tell them. I will make you if I have to. Remember, we are going to be locked up together. I think that I can get you to spill the beans after a while," I say as I watch the fight.

"I think you underestimate me, mortal. I won't be the one begging for mercy," he knifes with his sharp tongue.

I swallow the impulse to push him right off the cliff now. All things worthy of satisfaction are worth waiting for. He will die by my hand and I can promise that.

I swallow my anger and look down at the supers.

The three other men settling the dispute see that the ship is up here. I guess Thor decided to help against Loki's schemes and they come up to join us in order to head to the S.H.I.E.L.D. base to figure out what to do next.

"Ah! Looks who's returned! If you children are done fighting, you can have your hostage back. I'm done babysitting him," I say as I push Loki forward and I walk back to the ship.

The Asgardian lifts a brow and looks at the others.

"I like this one," Thor says in his deep English accent, quoting what Stark said before.

I snicker as I walk into the ship.
