"brendon, are you still mad at me?" I ask. all he does is cross his arms and look away. "let me explain."
"the only reason im still here is because my mom is gone and I forgot my key," he says. I sigh and look down to my lap, where im nervously twiddling my fingers.
"I have a legitimate reason, if you'd let me explain without interruption this time," I suggest. brendon just rolls his eyes and looks to me boredly but expectantly.
"get on with it then, ryan," he says impatiently.
"what? like- you mean, now?" I ask in surprise, my eyes wide.
"well you'd be able to think of a great cover-up if I gave you time to think, so, yes, now."
