"Juliet you barely ate any of your food." Alpha Jake says, while I flinch back because his voice rises a little bit. His eyes soften but he doesn't it let it go. "You only had two bites." He tells me, his voice a little softer this time.
I want to eat more, but I'm just not hungry and if I even have one more bite I feel like my stomach will explode. But I can't tell him, so once again I just shrug my shoulders and hope that he will forget about it. It seems like he does because he sighs and doesn't mention it again.

I am washing his and my plate off even though he says I don't have to when he decides to start talking again. "I think I should bring to the pack doctor. At his words I instantly freeze up and shake my head no.
"Juliet, you could have internal bleeding or something." I shake my head no more furious. He looks sad and sighs. "Please let me take care of you. Please you are my mate, it's my job."
He looks so sad that it seems like I have to say yes. He grins when I nod and comes toward me with his arms outstretched. I get scared and flinch back. Alpha Jake notices his and takes a step back and puts his arms down. "Juliet I am so sorry. I was only going to hug you I promise. I would never hurt you intentionally." He tells me and I slowly nod my head than walk to the sink grab a washcloth to start cleaning the counters.
"Juliet stop. On of the moms will clean. Let's go upstairs and I'll get one the girls to get you some clean clothes to change into. Than we will go to the doctors."

I am sitting on his bed in just a towel because I just got out of the shower and the other girl hasn't showed up yet with a change of clothes for me. Just than there is a not at the door and go over and open it. Standing there is a girl who looks to be sixteen with some clothes in her arms.
"Hi, I'm Jenny." She says enthusiastically. "Sorry I was late, I had to ask one of the younger pack girls to borrow some clothes from since you are so small." She smiles handing me the clothes. "Anyway here you go, and Alpha will be coming to your room in five minutes to get you to bring you to the pack doctor.

I just finished tying my shoes when I hear a knock on the door. "It's me Jake. Can you please unlock the door?" He asks. I hesitantly walk over to unlock it, but I get this horrible flashback.
"Juliet, it's me, your father. Please open the door so I can bring you breakfast. I open it and he slaps me in the face hard. And that was the first time he has ever hurt me."
End of flashback:
Once I open the door I see Alpha Jake standing there towering over me, and I get this sudden urge to run into his arms and hug him.
He must have seen my tears because the next thing I know is he is holding my face between both of his hands and I don't even flinch away. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?" He asks worried looking me up and down making sure I'm okay.
I don't answer and lift up one of my hands to wipe away one of my tears. "Shh, come sit." He says, I don't even know why he shushes me since I didn't even make a noise. But he still leads me over to my bed and sits down it next to me.
"It's okay," He says. But for some reason this just makes my cry more, because nothing is okay. The tears start falling harder and he pulls me closer to him and hugs me.
He starts smoothing down my hair while talking. "We'll go to the doctor tomorrow. How about today you just rest?" I nod at this and he starts to get up but I hug him closer. He seems shocked at first but doesn't say anything. He just takes one of my hands and wraps his other arm around me.
The next thing I know is the world is getting darker a d I drift off into sleep.
