Josie
"Why won't she wake up?? It's been 5 hours already."
"Relax. She'll come around soon. Its not like she's dead."
"Hey, look, she's waking up."
My eyes fluttered open and i saw Derick, Mom, and Dad looking at me.
"Wha-What happened??" i asked, looking around. "Where am i?"
"At the warehouse," Jeff said as Derick put a wet cloth on my head.
"Really proud of you, Josie," my mom said, smiling.
"Wha..?" i asked.
"You finally killed someone, Josie," Dad said with a smile.
I then remembered Millicent screaming and looked at my hands, seeing they were covered in blood.
"Oh no," i said. "No, no no! I didn't mean to!! No!!" i cried.
"Can't do anything about it, Josie," Mom said.
"I didn't mean it!! She got me mad and... Oh my god!!!" i cried, feeling a wall against my back
"We're sorry, Josie, but we told you tha-"
"Shut up!!! Just shut up!!! Shut up!! Shut up!! Shut up!!" i said, holding to the sides of my head and falling to the ground, my back still against the wall. Tears were streaming down my face
Not again...
Derick runs up to me and kneels in front of me.
"Josie, breathe in, calm down. I'm here," he said.
I take a couple of hyperventilating breaths until i feel myself begin to calm down slowly. Mom and Dad looked at me cautiously.
"Guess she gets panic and anxiety attacks from you, Jane," Dad said.
"Hmm," she said, looking worried.
Soon i was calmed down and look up, still feeling a bit scared. Mostly at myself.
I actually murdered.
"Mr. and Mrs.... Killer... What do we do now??" Derick asked, scooping my up and lying me down on the cot i woke up on.
"Well, hide you kids. You two are prime suspects of this girl's murder now. You kids may need to stay here for now," Mom said.
"Can we still sneak in and grab our stuff??" Derick asked.
"Yeah, but may need to wait until midnight. Liu will be lurking around," my dad said.
As soon as i can catch my breath, Derick sat by my side.
"You two get some rest. After what's happened, especially Josie's first kill, you two could use some rest," my mom said.
We nod as they leave the room, my dad stopping.
"And Derick, just call us Jeff and Jane," he said before following my mom out the room.
Derick lies down next to me and soo we both drip to sleep.
It was weird, though.
When i was killing Millicent, i felt... excited, and alive.
Like an adrenaline rush pumping through my veins at a million miles per hour.
And... it felt good...
