Thank you for reaching this far! The manga adaption of this story will be a little bit different. Instead of re-writing the whole thing...yet again. I am giving you a preview of Misa's past. It may look inconsistent on what I have written so far but it will make sense in the manga.

Almost three years ago, my parents decided to purchase a house. We had to move a couple of blocks away from our old house.
This move forced me to change schools right before entering high school.
I was saddened by this sudden move but I didn't resist. I made a lot of friends back in middle school so I didn't see any problem making friends in my new school.

The first day of high school arrived and I was really excited.
The traditional school ceremony was boring as usual and felt like an eternity.
My eyes were wondering around and desperately trying to spot someone or something interesting.
And I did.
I caught a glimpse of this mysterious cute little blondie.
He looks so cute.
I just want to eat him up.
He's like my little fun-sized blondie.
I didn't notice that I was already blushing and had been staring at him for a long time.
He turned around and our eyes met.
He appeared astounded and probably felt the intensity of my stare.
I looked away to avoid his eyes and waited for a few minutes.
I tried to look again in his direction...
He was still looking at me.
When our eyes met the second time, he got startled and immediately faced forward.
That was really embarrassing.

The ceremony ended and the students populated their respective classrooms.
I entered the classroom and sat down on one of the seats.
By then, all the students seemed to fill the classroom.
I was anxiously waiting for him but he didn't arrive.
He's probably not in my class.
A group of students started to flock around my desk. They were curious because I was new and didn't come from their middle school.
Girl 1: You didn't come from the local middle school, huh?
Girl 2: Yea, did you move or something?
Misa: Yea, I was from the middle school about a mile or two away.
Girl 3: Oh, it's not that far, right?
Misa: Yea, we just moved a couple blocks away from our old house. The districts changed so I had to change schools too.
Girl 2: Ah, I see. Let's be friends, then okay?
Misa: Yea, sure! That will be nice. I don't know anyone here so thank you so much!
Girl 3: Your eyes are so weird.
Girl 1: Hey, that's not very nice.
Girl 3: Oh, I'm so sorry! What I meant to say is that it's really pretty. Am I right?
Girl 1: Yea, you're right. It's really beautiful.
Girl 4: Her hair is gorgeous too.
Misa: Thank you.
They seem to be kind and have given me lots of compliments.
I guess moving isn't bad at all.
I am already making friends.

A week has passed and things are looking up for me. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.
School has ended and I am preparing to go home.
I packed my things and went on my way until...
Stranger: Hi, Misa, right?
This is weird.
He knows my name.
Misa: Ah...yea. Do...um...you need something?
Kenji: I'm Kenji. First year just like you. Nice to meet you.
Misa: Nice...to meet you, Kenji. Um...
I wave my hand to gesture that I need leave when Kenji swiftly grabs my arm.
Kenji: Hey, wait.
Misa: What is it?
Kenji: Are you seeing anybody?
WHAT!?
Misa: No, not right now.
I'm confused.
Kenji: If it's okay, can I ask you out then?
What?!
I'm not in a dating mood right now and he's not my type.
Misa: I'm so sorry. I'm not interested.
Kenji: Why not? I'm like the most popular guy at school.
I quickly check him out and he is quite good looking...tall...and looks athletic.
But he is so arrogant!
And again, not my type!
Misa: That doesn't mean anything to me.
Kenji: Oh really...
Kenji starts advancing towards me and finally corners me on the wall.
I don't know what to do.
Kenji: Look, Misa. I will make you fall for me.
I want to say something.
I need to put this cocky punk in his place.
I let out a big sigh and scream...
Misa: LOOK HERE ARROGANT BASTARD, THIS IS NOT A CHEESY SHOUJO MANGA. LET ME GO ALREADY BEFORE I HURT YOU.
Kenji: Feisty, aren't we? You just seduced me even more.
What the hell is wrong with this guy?!
I pushed him away and he didn't even budge.
This is so unfair.
Why are guys stronger than girls?!
Kenji grabs both of my wrists and pins them down on the wall.
Kenji: Stop resisting and be mine already.
Kenji is leaning forward and about to go for my lips.
I have to do something.
Quickly!
I am running out of time.
MOVE!
Misa: STOP! STOP!
Kenji: There is no point...I'm a guy and you can't do anything about it.
He's looking down on me.
This guy...
I HATE HIM!!!
I need to fight.
Without hesitation...
I hit him in his crotch with my knee.
He dropped on the floor and was in severe pain.
Kenji: AHHH!! YOU STUPID BITCH!!! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS. UGH!!!
I ran as fast as I can.
Ugh!! Guys like him make me sick.
Just because you're a guy doesn't give you the right to do whatever you want.

A day or two later, something drastically changed. The welcoming and friendly atmosphere of my classmates had changed.
They acted cold and indifferent towards me.
I've been shunned and isolated.
What the hell happened?
I didn't do anything wrong.
So, it seems...
I'm all alone.

Kenji: Did you do it, cuz?
Kyoko: Yea, I did. I told everyone in her class. Everyone will for sure avoid her now. Being the first year class representative does wonders.
Kenji: Good.
Kyoko: I hated her anyway. It's better to work together, right? The boys are all over her, that bitch slut whore Medusa.
Kenji: You better watch your mouth, cousin. Don't insult my woman.
Kyoko: Didn't she kick you in the balls?
Kenji: That doesn't matter.
Kyoko: You are sick and twisted.
Kenji: You have no right to judge me. You're in this too for your own self.
Kyoko: What can I say? We're cut from the same cloth.
The two start laughing.
