Caleb's POV

The stands were roaring, we had just won our last game before the homecoming game!

I look for Madison on the sidelines and see her cheering us on. I can't wait to celebrate with her tonight at Dylan's. As she hops over to me I feel her jump in my arms and give me a big kiss. God damn, she is hot.

The last 6 months with Madison have been the best of my life. After finding out my dad was going to get remarried to Ali's mom and that I would suddenly have a step-sister, I was definitely not the happiest camper. It's not that I didn't like Ali or her mom, but I was happy with just my dad and I. It was a lot of change in a very short amount of time. Without Madison, I don't think I would have been able to handle it, she was also there to distract me. There was never any pressure to talk about it, she wasn't one to talk about that kind of stuff much, anyways.

"Baby, you won! You won! You won!!" Madison screams and kisses me.

I kiss her back and set her back on the ground "I gotta go change with the team, meet you at Dylan's for the party?"

"Of course! See you soon!"

I watch Madison walk away and can't help but check her out in her cheer uniform. How the school lets the team get away with such short skirts is beyond me, but I'm not complaining.

I shake my head and head towards the locker room to shower and get changed. I see Dylan and Skylar talking to some girls and can't help but get excited about how great tonight is going to be.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<,

Ali's POV

The game is finally over and Katie is driving us back to her house to get ready for Dylan's party. I was planning on bailing and not going. No way was I going to go a party with the very people I just saw making out in the bathroom! No, way in hell. It was hard enough to concentrate on the rest of the game after seeing that, let alone go to a party!

"Katie, can you drop me off at my house?"

"Why, Ali? You can borrow something to wear if you don't have anything with you"

"I don't really want to go....I am tired and would rather just stay home. My parents are out of town and Caleb is at the party. A night alone sounds nice" I lie, hoping she won't push the topic.

"Uh....no. You are coming to this party. Dylan basically only invited us because he had to. He wants you to go!!" Alexis practically yells from the front seat at me.

"Yeah, she is right. You are coming. If you hate it we can leave after an hour" Katie doesn't even take her eyes off the road, she knows I won't say no. How can I? For some reason Dylan invited me to his party, and if my friends want to go, I have to go.

Thirty minutes later and I am changed back into my jeans and sweater from school waiting for the other girls to get ready.

"You aren't actually wearing that, are you Ali? Sam asks with a smirk.

"I was planning on it...."

"No, way Ali!" Alexis and Sam say at the same time.

Katie looks at me through the mirror and snorts "Hold on, I have something better you can wear".

"No, Katie, I am fine with what I'm wearing!" I say rolling my eyes.

"Not a chance, Al" Alexis goes to the closet to help Katie.

I look at Sam for help, but she is no use. She knows how Katie is when she gets something on her mind. Two minutes later Katie comes out of her closet with two options for me.

"Yeah Al, I know you're fine with it. But I'm you are not going to show up looking the same as every other day to your first MAJOR party"

"Katie is right" Alexis chimes in, "Dylan invited you, and you have to impress".

"Fine" I roll my eyes and grab the less revealing outfit of the two options. Which really wasn't saying much. I shimmy into the tight black bandage skirt and low cut black silk tank top Katie handed me and look in the mirror.  Way too revealing, Ali. No one would even take you seriously.  I go to Katie's closet and find a leather jacket and black ankle boots and figure that will have to do. At least my cleavage is covered.

"Okay, make up time!" Alexis chirps.

"What? No! My make up is already done"

"Ali, mascara isn't enough for tonight. Not with that outfit" Sam says looking me up and down.

I sign and let them make over my face and hair, it's not like I have a choice. I just hope that I can get through this night without seeing Caleb or Madison. I am not ready to face them, and I sure as hell am not about to tell anyone what I saw until I have time to process it.

I just hope I can keep it together until I get a chance to do that....

Caleb's POV

The party is packed and Skylar, Dylan and I are sitting on the kitchen counter with some beers. I gotta say, I am enjoying myself. After the game we had today these beers are tasting pretty damn good. Now, I could only figure out where Madison disappeared to.

I feel Dylan nudge me, "Dude, your sister just got here with Katie, Sam and Alexis".

"I still don't get why you had to invite them" I mutter then take a big swig of beer.

"Because she is cool" Dylan states simply as he hops off the counter and walks towards the living room where Ali is.

"Sky, is it just me or does Dylan seem a little more interested than usual in Ali?"

"I don't know, man. Ali and her friends are cool. It's nice to have different girls around. Madison and the cheer leaders are cool and all, but they are kinda boring"

"Madison is not boring" I scowl at him. Well, maybe she is a little boring to talk to, but she isn't that bad.

"That's not what I meant. I just meant I like that Dylan invited a new group around"

I dropped the subject because at that very moment Ali walked in looking nothing like the usual Ali does. She was wearing a short, tight skirt, a leather jacket that I have never seen her in, dark make up and red lipstick with her long brown hair down and straight.

Holy shit.....Ali looks fucking HOT. Wait, what? I can't be thinking that about her.

That was the only thought I could get out before anger settled over me. Dylan had her embraced in a huge bear hug and once they pulled away he bent down to whisper something in her ear that made her smile. Then he placed his hand on the small of her back and led her towards us in the kitchen.

Why in the hell Dylan thought it was okay to touch her like that was beyond me.

"Hey Caleb, hey Skylar" Ali said once Dylan and her had reached us.

"Hey Al, damn you look good tonight!" Skylar said then quickly averted his eyes after feeling my elbow in his ribs.

So what? She looked good. So did other girls in this party and you don't see my best friends hitting on them, do you?

"Want something to drink Ali?" Dylan asked with his hand still on her back. Who does this guy think he is? What has gotten into him?

"Ali doesn't drink". I realize I have said this out loud and look at Ali; she is glaring at me. Oops, but she doesn't!

"That's cool. I have soda, water......milk?" Dylan says to Ali with a smirk.

This is getting really old, watching him shamelessly flirt with her when she is so obviously not into it. I feel a nagging feeling in my stomach and can't quite place it. Jealousy? No, I couldn't be jealous of a friend liking my sister, or step-sister, whatever she is. I was just being protective.....right? Yes, that had to be it. What kind of guy would I be if I let her get mixed up with Dylan? He uses and loses girls as quick as lightening.

Ali is still glaring at me, crap.

"Actually, I think a beer sounds great. Thanks Dylan" She says never taking her eyes of off me. What is that look? It's more than anger, but I can't quite put my finger on it...

"Ali, you don't have to drink just to prove me wrong. I was just giving you a hard time"

"Stay out of my business Caleb or I won't stay out of yours..." And with that she turns on her heel, grabs Dylan's hand and pulls him to a couch in the living room.

What just happened? And what the hell did that mean "stay our of her business or she won't stay out of mine"?

I decide it is time to go find Madison and forget all about my best friend flirting with my step-sister. I walk all through the house, upstairs, downstairs, outside and can't find Madison anywhere. Finally I go to the front yard and see her getting out of a car. Why would she be getting out of a car, she came here with me. Who was that anyways, was that Rick Ackers?

Madison sees me when she turns to walk back to the house and her eyes go wide. "Hey babe!"

"Mad, why were in Rick's car?"

"Oh, um, I just needed to get something" She mumbles

That makes no sense. Rick is a senior and  not exactly the most respectable guy at our school. "Try again Mad, I know when you are lying"

"I- I-ummm- I bought weed from him, okay?" She yells and stomps off into the house.

What? Madison doesn't smoke weed, she hates drugs.

I follow her into the house and corner her in the hallway, "Madison why would you do that? You don't smoke. You hate it, you always tell me that every time any of our friends are smoking weed"

She looks up at me and places her hands on my waist, "I know, but my brother asked me to get him some and I just couldn't say no..." She looks down again, ashamed.

God damn her brother, he is such an asshole.

Madison's brother is 20 and in the local city college, barely. He still lives at home and works at some deli a couple days a week to keep his parents happy. I'm not surprised he asked Madison to get him weed, he has been in enough trouble, if he got caught again he would be in serious shit.

"Babe, you shouldn't help him with this stuff. Let him fight his own battles"

"I know, I'm sorry I didn't tell you" She coos pulling me closer before crashing her lips to mine. Before I can control myself I am grabbing her and lifting her up against the wall passionately kissing her like my life depended on it.

"Get a room Caleb, there are plenty upstairs, bro" I turn to see Dylan and Ali standing there. Dylan is laughing, Ali is glaring...again.

Wait, she isn't glaring at me...she is glaring at Madison. But why? They are kind of friends, she never glares at her. Did they get in a fight?

"Oh hey Dyl, hey Ali" Madison says as she readjusts her shirt.

"Seriously guys, use my room upstairs if you want" Dylan is still chuckling and holding Ali's hand.

Ali just keeps staring at Madison. What the hell is going on? Did Ali just wobble?

This whole night is making less and less sense.
