You Go To A Museum
Niall: "I don't know why people pay to come and see this stuff," Niall mutters beside you, gesturing towards one of the paintings hung on the wall. "Culture Niall? History? Art?" you chuckle slightly as you reel off answers before turning your attention back to the canvas in front of you. You hear him scoff, and you quickly glance at him out of the corner of your eye as he complains, "Anyone could do that though, it's just scribbles! I could do that!". You roll your eyes at him, one arm wrapping around his waist as you tease, "So not only am I dating Niall Horan from One Direction, but apparently i'm also dating the next Da Vinci too eh?". You laugh as he puffs out his chest impressively before smiling down at you, kissing the top of your head.
Liam: "I don't get how they did it," you mumble in awe, walking around the case holding a chipped vase from ancient Greece, "They're beautiful,". You hear Liam hum in agreement, and feel his presences hovering slightly behind you. "How they could get them to look as perfect as that - and the paintings! I mean what could they even use as paint?" you shake your head in disbelief, "Baffles me,". You turn around at the quiet sound of chuckling behind you, finding Liam watching you with as much fascination as you were the vase. You twirl your hair self-consciously before questioning, "What?". "Nothing," he shakes his head, smiling. You pout, placing your hands on your hips impatiently as you wait her him to crack and continue. He rolls his eyes, moving forward and placing his hands on your hips, "I just love how absorbed you get in this type of thing. It's cute,".
Zayn: "Wouldn't want one of those chasing after you would you?" you joke, your neck craning upwards as you take in the size of the T-rex skeleton. Zayn doesn't answer, and when you glance over at him you notice him staring up at it seriously. Moving over to him you take his hand and his gaze drops to your face, expression still serious. "It makes you feel so small doesn't it?" he states, looking back up at the skeletons jaw, "All this stuff was here before us, way before us. And they're huge and we're tiny,". You shake the hand you're holding, pulling his attention back to you as you smile, muttering quietly, "Doesn't mean we're any less important,". A smile spreads across his features as he leans down to kiss your lips lightly before he nods in agreement, "We'll leave our mark somewhere,".
Louis: You stare slightly wide-eyed at your boyfriend as he rattles off yet another fact about the Victorian era as you walk through the museum. He must catch your expression as he stops mid-sentence, quirking his eyebrow "What?". "How do you know all this?" you shake your head, confused. He winks, biting his tongue slightly between his lips, "Not just a pretty face eh?" before taking off down the corridor. You watch him retreat for a moment before skipping to catch up with him, taking his hand easily as the two of you start to walk in unison. "You know," he mumbles eventually, looking over at you with a smirk, "I don't know if I should be offended by that comment or not - you know history was my favourite subject at school,". You smile apologetically, "Just wasn't expecting it I guess... the many talents of my boyfriend eh?".
Harry: You were bored. It was safe to say you had little interest for museums, so instead you found your gaze gravitating towards Harry. If you hadn't been seeing him for over a year now it might have been strange how you relished in the way his eyes would widen upon reading some obscure fact, how he'd mumble comments every now and then about one of the many artefacts the building held. You lean on the barrier with a sigh, glancing down at the floors below, jumping slightly when you feel hands rest on your hips. "You're bored," he whispers in your ear, and you can't help the small smile that spreads across your face. "And you're not," you reply with as much certainty. "Do you want us to go?" he questions, his chin resting on your shoulder. Your fingers reach up to tangle gently in his hair as you sigh, "I can deal with being here for a while longer, for you," you add teasingly. He laughs, turning to kiss your cheek before whispering a "Thank you."
