Warm Globes of Ice

  “Momma! Momma!”

Iana looked around, seeing a clearing full of blue roses and white daises.

“Momma!” The little girl shouted again. Iana searched frantically for the little girl, feeling that she cared for her.

Her eyes settled on a girl running towards Iana. She looked to be four or five dressed in a white dress.

The little girl radiated love and adoration as she barreled into Iana’s body.

Iana looked at the girl confused, “whose your momma?” She asked the girl.

She giggled and pecked Iana on the cheek, “you silly Mommy!”

Iana took a moment to look at the little girl in a amazement, she was absolutely beautiful. Her hair was long and fell to her waist in soft natural curls and shined a radiant blackish brown. The little girls nose was the most perkiest button Iana had ever seen and curved up at the end.

  Just like her own nose.

What had Iana breathless was the little girls eyes, they were the most greenest eyes she’d ever seen! They had flecks of neon blue in them and made the girls eyes glow a brilliant color.

  This girl, was her daughter?

  “What is your name?”

“Mommy,” the girl giggled again, “you know it! My name is Elianna. Remember? Because Daddy’s powers are for winter, mine are for the summer. See?”

Elianna looked around and she ran over to a rose that wasn’t blossomed yet. Elianna bent over and with a touch of her finger, the blue rose uncurled and blossomed with dozens of petals that were the perfect shape.

  Iana was astonished.

“Remember Mommy, because you said the name Elianna meant ‘daughter of the sun.’”

Iana motioned for Elianna to come closer, and the little girl complied, though sitting on Iana’s lap and cuddling closer.

“So, Elianna, where is Daddy?” Iana asked, hoping for the answer she so desperately wanted.

Elianna looked up at Iana, smiling cheekily before looking behind her and pointing. Elianna jumped out of Iana’s lap and took off behind Iana. She turned to see Elianna jump into the arms of a man.

“Daddy!” Elianna yelled, kissing the man’s cheek.

The man stood up from his crouching position, and took Elianna’s hand as they walked toward Iana. Iana turned fully towards them, and the motion made her realize she was wearing a dress. It went down to her knees and was a black sheer, beautiful.

The man and Elianna got closer, and before Iana knew it, they were in front of her.

Iana looked up into the eyes of Jack. Oh his gorgeous and electric blue-green eyes. How they mesmerized her very being.

“Daddy,” Elianna whispered, and they both looked down at their daughter.

  Wait, she was their daughter?

Jack bent down to Elianna’s level, and she whispered something in his ear. His face splinted into his beautiful smile, and he picked Elianna up.

“Iana, love,” Jack whispered, taking her breath away. “Watch this.”

Both Jack and Elianna hold their hands out, her daughters touching Jack’s on top. Elianna’s face was pursed in concentration as Jack looked at their little girl. Jack looked back at Iana, and gave her cheek a kiss before smiling and looking back at Elianna.

Suddenly, their touching hands started glowing a white luminescent color. The glow got brighter, and as it did,  it was leaving their hands in the shape of a bright and soft ball. The color slowly changed from it’s pure white, to an ice crystal blue, and spikes started protruding from the ball.

Frost was coming from the globe, but when Iana’s hand came close to it, the feeling was warm.

“Daddy and I have been practicing Mommy!” Elianna laughed, and soon, Jack was too.

“She’s been adamant about perfecting it. I couldn’t even bribe her with cookies in cream ice cream!” Jack bellowed, looking at their daughter adoringly.

The ball of light extinguished, and Elianna squirmed out of Jack’s grip, running to a blanket Iana now realized was there not far from where she was standing.

Jack takes Iana’s hand, and kisses it. A sparkle catches her eye, and as she looks, Iana realizes it a diamond ring. A wedding ring.

“You need to go back now,” Jack says, smiling sadly.

  “What, why?”

“I’ve been waiting for this day for a while, but as my past dream self said to you, my real self is waiting. You need to go. And a fair warning, my beautiful Iana, things are going to happen soon, and Jack needs you to be the strongest you can be to survive it.”

With that, Jack pulls Iana into his arms, and she sinks into his embrace. They look at each other, and Jack crashes his lips onto hers before backing up.

“I’ll see you when I wake up,” he says, and walks back to Elianna.

Iana woke up with a smile on her face, remembering her dream, or what most likely was a future memory.

  She was married to Jack.

  They had a daughter.

  A daughter with powers.

She couldn’t wait to have her ring finger fulfilled with its purpose, and her stomach swelling with Jack’s child. She couldn’t wait to see the eyes of her beautiful girl again, how they twinkled when she was with her Daddy.

Little did Iana know how far into the future that was, and she wished she could know when. But that’s the fun part, the mystery.

Iana felt Jack’s arms around her in a comfortable way, and the position his palms were at on her hips made her crazy.

She wanted to kiss him again. And again. And again. Forever.

Ever since that fateful night over three weeks ago when they first kissed, Iana hasn’t been able to get enough, and Jack loves it.

Attempting to get out of bed, Iana moves Jack’s arms until they no longer hold her and she moves to the edge of the bed. Just as her feet touch the floor, Iana’s pulled back into the warmth of Jack’s body.

She squealed as she fell, and Jack laughed.

The warmth of his body makes Iana give in, and she curled closer to Jack.

“Morning Mr. Frost,” she murmurs against his neck, and he lets out a shaky breath.

  “Morning Ms. Straventi.”

Iana sighs, “I won’t be that forever.”

Jack pulls back to look at her, “what do you mean?”

“I had a dream last night,” Iana smiles, remembering, “it wasn’t really a dream, per se, more like… a vision.”

A look of confusion crosses over Jack’s face, “vision?”

Iana nods, and gives him a quick kiss before nodding and continuing, “a vision of my future.”

Jack peers at Iana curiously, “and what was it?”

Tears come into Iana’s eyes, and she smiles wider, hugging Jack. “I have a daughter!” Iana whispers, kissing Jack again, and feeling more confident. “Your daughter.”

He stills beside her, resting a hand on her face, “w-what?”

“She’s so beautiful, the perfect angel. And she has powers like you! But she can make flowers bloom and melt ice!”

Jack’s shocked expression makes Iana’s smile drop slowly, “what’s wrong?”

He’s silent for a few minutes before his features relax and he smiles wide. Jack grabs Iana and rolls them till she’s under him. Her arms wrap around his neck and she looks up at him confusingly.

Jack kisses her long and hard, and when he pulls back, Iana’s heart is beating rapidly and she’s beyond breathless.

“It means we’re together always, and that no matter what, nothing can get in our way. I love you so much Iana. And that little girl you say is ours only proves it more.”

Again Jack sweeps in for a kiss, and this time it’s more intense, passionate.

Iana’s hands pull at his hair, as Jack’s rest on her hips. Ever so slowly, they slide up her torso until they stop at the underside of her breast. Jack moves to kiss her jaw and kisses down to her neck, finding her sweet spot.

Iana arches her back in pleasure. Never had someone been this intimate before, and embarrassingly, she was wishing for more than this.

“Jack,” Iana moans quietly as Jack softly nibbles on her neck, “there’s something else, too.”

“What is it,” he says against her neck, and Iana shivers.

  “We- we’re married too.”

Once again Jack stills, only he doesn’t pull back to look at her, he laughs into her neck. The joy filled sound made her laugh after him, and soon she had tears in her eyes.

“That makes it even better, love,” Jack chuckles, and Iana gasps. “What, what’s wrong Iana?” Jack worries.

Iana shakes her head, “you called me that in the vision, and I thought it was my subconscious making that up, but I guess not.”

Jack pulls them so they were lying face to face. He grins wide and kisses Iana one more time before saying, “so, tell me more about our daughter…”
