Chapter 18
Louis' POV
*4 Years Later*
"Daddy!!!! We're gonna be wate fo my fwurst day of school!" Sam screamed.
"Coming Princess!" I said, as I jogged towards her. "You all set, darling?"
She nodded. "Okay, let's go get you buckled up in the car!"
"Can we visit mummy Ley fwurst?" she asked.
I smiled at her "Of course hunny."
"yaayy! " she cheered.
Okay, so Today is Sam's first day of school. It's been 4 years since Ashley passed away. I gotta admit, It took me weeks or months to fully recover. I was soo horibble those times that Liam and Stephany had to take away Sam from me during my recovery.
Within those 4 years, Liam and Stephany got married. So did Niall and Emma, and Harry and Char. Eleanor also found a man and they recently got married. His name's Max, she met him at Starbucks. Shocking? I don't think so. That girl lives in Starbucks! No joke.
...Okay well, maybe I am joking. But you get what I mean!
I've been visiting Ashley with Sam every week. It's heartbreaking to see your toddler talk to her mum and tell her everything that had happen over the week when your wife's 6 feet under ground. It's hard but, I know I have to be strong for Sam.
Harry's been setting me up in dates over the past year, It's to help me heal fully from Ashley's death. NOT to forget about her, because I never will and I will ALWAYS love her. OH yeah, I'm actually dating someone for 3 weeks now.
Her name's Ashkeith Desiree Henson, everyone calls her AshKay because she doesn't like her name. I personally think it's a cool name! She reminds me a lot of Ashley.. No, it's not because of the name. AshKay and Ashley has the same personality. It's terrifying actually. It's like they're twins. Sam really like AshKay, so does the others. My mum and sisters adores her too.
"Daddy?" Sam called out.
"Yes baby?" I smiled..
"Is AshKay gonna be my new mummy?" she asked as she sat on my lap.
"I dunno baby.." I shrugged.
"I want her to be my new mummy. But i still want to keep visiting mummy Ley even though AshKay's my new mummy."
"Alright baby." I chuckled. "Let's go get you to School now."
I dropped Sam off of her school and i went straight back home. It never occured to me that Sam might actually want and NEED a mother. Maybe it's really time to move on from Ashley and be serious with AshKay. I don't I'm ready to let her go in my heart. I don't think I ever will.
*Dream*
"Ashley?" I squinted my eyes at the person 5 feet away from me as I kept walking towards her "Oh my God, ASHLEY!" I screamed.
Ashley turned around and smiled, hugging me tight.
"I never thought I'd hug you again. Oh my God, I missed you so much Ashley. It hurts, I want you back." I sobbed.
"Aw Lou, I know. But you gotta let go. It's been 4 year babe. Sam needs a mother. You need a new wife." She said, rubbing my back in circles.
"But I can't just let you go. I love you Ashley, you know that." I said.
"I know Louis. But you have to let your heart mend. And the only way is if you learn to love again." She sighed. "Ashkeith's perfect for you." she smiled.
"But I can't just let what we had go." I cried.
"You don't have to! Because I know that the memories we had together and I will ALWAYS have a place in your heart." She smiled as she caressed my cheek.
"Do I really have to let go?" I sighed
"Yes Lou. Do it for Sam and yourself.... Do it for me." She said as she leaned in and kissed me.
Her lips on mine.. Everything feels right again.
She pulled out and smiled.
"I will always love you Louis. You're my one and true hero." She smiled.
"Live your life mate." Someone said behind me, I turned around and it was Darwin. "Don't let your past hold you back. Start a new chapter in your life."
"Thank you for saving my princess Darwin." I said as we hugged.
"It was nothing. Sam's like my own. Besides, I can't just stand there and let that insane girl kill my best friend, I had to do something. I'm sorry I didn't get to it early enough to save the both of them." He sighed.
"No Darwin, don't be. You've done more than enough, mate."
"Oh yeah, Thank you for naming Sam after me.. Samantha Darwin Tomlinson." He stated, doing hand gestures.
"I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU NAMED HER AFTER THAT WEIRDO." Ashley frowned playfully.
"Sorry babe. He deserved it." I shrugged, smiling.
"One point for Darwin!" Darwin fist pumped.
"But she's still mine, Dar. Soo." Ashley said as she stuck her tongue out.
"Well, Louis. We're running out of time. I love you and Sam, forever and always." She smiled weakly.
"Please don't leave. I love you Ashley! We need you." I cried.
"Just promise me to take what we talked about in consideration. Please." She begged.
I sighed. "I promise."
She kissed me on the cheek and started walking away with Darwin. I tried to move but my legs won't budge.
"WILL I SEE YOU AGAIN?!" I screamed out
She turned around. "I'll always be here. In your heart. I'll show up during your toughest nights. I love you Louis but you need to let go." She begged.
I sighed. "Alright. I'll let go. I love you Ashley, forever and always."
*End of dream.*
I shot up, eyes wide open. I'm sweating like a pig. It all felt so real. Maybe I really do need to move on. Everyone's been telling me that. I gave her a promise and I tend to keep my promise. The last time I broke a promise to Ashley, we almost broke up. I'll keep this one. I don't want to fully lose her. I'll try and live my life.

I chuckled as I hit tweet.
A few minutes later, loud thuds can be heard downstairs. I frowned and grabbed a stick, getting prepared to attack the robber.
Seconds later, the door bursts open.
It was my 4 best friends.
Their eyes were wide open, jaw wide open. They were out of breathe.
"What you guys up to? You all look like you've ran a freakin' marathon." I smirked.
"LOUIS' BACK!" Harry screamed as he tackled me to the ground.
The other boys cheered and did a dogpile over me.
"Get your fat asses off of me!" I squeeked.
"What's got in to you? Old Lou's back." Liam smiled as he hugged me.
"Let's just say two certain someone talked the sense in to me." I shrugged.
"Ashkeith and Eleanor?" Niall guessed.
"It may sound weird and stupid but I had a dream about Ashley and Darwin talking to me about my life."
"Sooo?" Zayn nudged.
"I promised her that I will try and let her go.. She want me to do this for us... Me, Sam and her." I shrugged.
"That's great." Harry cheered "I'm soo happy my best friend is back"
"I'm glad i'm back too." I smiled.
