I'm woken up by violent yelling and shaking.
"Eleanor! Get your pathetic ass up!"
Mother.
I cringe as Mother drags me away from George, the bright sunlight nearly blinding me.
I'd slept with him all night.
"Mother, let me go!" I cry out, trying to fight against her grip. George is also yelling, telling her to let me go, but she won't listen.
"What did I tell you?! You're staying away from this pathetic excuse of a life!"
"No, Mother! I'm not going with you!"
I manage to break out of her grasp and back away from her, tears in my eyes. George catches me and holds me tight, shielding me away from my mother's violent rage.
"And why the hell not?!" she spits out as she glares at me.
"Because I love him!"
