Just A Villain (Jasper to Lapis, Lapis to Jasper)

Jasper: I've conquered countless worlds,
Taken many lives and turned them into nothing,
Lapis: I was a weapon to evil,
Destroyed to protect,
Jasper: I am just a villain,
I feel you are the same,
Lapis: I'm fighting for him,
Not in evil' s name,
You are just a villain,
Jasper: But you betrayed him,
Went behind his back,
Lapis: I told him not to fight back,
I'm keeping him alive,
Jasper: Why fight for the ones who never cared for you,
For the one who broke his promise,
Lapis: Because I believe he wants me to be free,
He is my only reason to fight you,
Jasper: We are one and the same,
Why do you resist what must be,
Lapis: Because he showed me what love is again,
Because he set me free,
But I gave him away,
Maybe we are the same,
Lapis and Jasper: We are just villains,
That's all we'll ever be.
