Part 79
Alec’s POV
If I had to choose who to fight, between the devil and the angel, I would choose the angel. She was a lot nicer, even if she was trying to reset the world and make everything as if it never existed.
“I am to terminate this world.” The angel said, sweetly.
She also took better care of Alex’s body than the devil, which was a plus because the angel actually cared, at least, I think she did.
“Why? What have we done to you?” I asked, not understanding.
“You humans have brought too many impurities into this world. Alex is one of those many impurities, and I am to terminate her and the rest of the world, creating new life somewhere else. One that will not have any impurities.” The angel’s angelic voice described.
This was starting to get to me, I didn’t understand why all this was happening. Alex didn’t seem like she understood any of this. So my question is why didn’t Alex know her fate? Why had no one ever told her of this? This could all be easily avoided if someone had taken the time to explain to her what exactly would happen. I was starting to get really mad here.
I attacked the angel head on, because she wasn’t paying attention and probably thought I wouldn’t hurt her. I quickly bound her by some tight restraints. I couldn’t have her try to fight when Alex regained consciousness.
(Come on out, Alex. I’ve got everything under control. All you have to do is just wake up. Please.) I thought to her.
I could tell the angel was stronger than Alex and it wasn’t easy for her to fight back, especially since she had just woke up. Both the angel and the devil had been using her powers and she was very tired, I bet.
“I will not let you take over, Alex. I cannot let you over take me until I am done with my mission.” The angel’s sweet voice told her.
“I don’t care!! I want you and the devil out of my body!!! NOW!!!” Alex yelled, fighting for control and dominance.
I couldn’t do anything to help her here. This was all Alex, because these demons were inside of her. I’ve always helped Alex, whenever she needed it, but not this time, Alex has to do this on her own, even if I want so badly to help her. I had to watch as she struggled to regain dominance in her own body, something no one should ever have to do, alone.
“Alex, come on. You can do this, I know you can. I’m right here waiting for you.” I encouraged her.
“Alec, help me.” Alex pleaded with me.
“How? You know I’ll do anything to help you.” I told her.
“You have to do something that only Alex would respond to.” Marie’s voice told me.
Something only Alex would respond to? Something only Alex would respond to. Something only Alex would respond to!!!
I quickly grabbed Alex’s face in my hands and kissed her. It was the only thing I could think of at that time, and I’m glad I did it.
She instantly responded, kissing me back. I held her for a couple seconds, reveling in the kiss and the moment, before pulling away, only to rest my forehead against hers. We were both breathing hard, because of the kiss or what just happened today, I don’t know. I think it was probably both.
“Your back.” I whispered to her.
“I’m back.” She confirmed, kissing me again.
I let myself marvel in the kiss for a moment longer before pulling away. Everyone had crowded around us, mostly Alex, saying they missed her and what not. Alex felt really guilty about what she did, even if she wasn’t the one actually doing all those things. She was so tired though. All her energy was used up by the devil, the angel and herself, plus she had a rough day.
I carried her to my dorm, and laid her down, in my bed, everyone following closely behind, cautious and careful. I kissed her forehead and left with everyone.
“Aw, I wanted to celebrate her birthday!” Bells whined.
Everyone laughed at that. With everything we’d gone through today, her birthday was completely forgotten. I suddenly had the greatest idea ever. I checked the time. It was about 8 in the morning, this whole fight only lasting about 8 hours, even though it seemed way longer.
“Guys, I got an idea. Something we can do for Alex’s birthday!!!” I said, gathering everyone around.
We made our way to the emergency room, and went to tell everyone that it was all ok. I told them I would explain what happened later, but I needed help with something. I quickly told everyone my plan and what they were supposed to do. Surprisingly they were all on board with this. I was going to give Alex my surprise, and I had been planning for this since the first time Alpha Williams kidnapped her.
Alex’s POV
I was so tired I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore. I was glad that Alec took me up to his room, to sleep. I don’t know how long I slept but when I woke up it was about 2 in the afternoon. It was very quiet in the house, very peaceful, which was never the case in the pack house.
I got dressed when I realized that my clothes were destroyed. I quickly changed into a green shirt and some jeans and made my way downstairs. Before I even went to the living room, I was stopped.
“Alex!!” Several voices yelled.
I turned around to see Bells, Olive, Stephanie, Carrie, Marie, Maria, Mary, Emily, Pam and Suzy were all sitting in the living room, waiting, probably for me. I was so surprised and shocked, I went over to hug all of them, because I missed them and I never thought I would see them again.
“I missed you guys!!!” I yelled, hugging Suzy close.
“I knew big sister would come back home.” Suzy whispered in my ear.
I held her tightly, my tears threatening to breakthrough. They were all looking really happy, yet tired. I wonder why, I mean wouldn’t they have gotten any rest.
“Hey, why do all of you guys look tired? Didn’t you go get some rest after all of this?” I asked, concerned.
“Oh, don’t worry about us. We’re perfectly fine. We’re worried about you though. How are you? Are you tired, sleepy or hungry? Do you need anything?” Stephanie said, worried.
“No, no. I’m fine. Everything’s perfect.” I said, happily.
“Not just yet.” I heard Emily mutter, under her breath.
“What was that?” I asked, not sure if I heard her clearly.
They all looked shocked, that I had heard that and Carrie went to save it.
“She said we’ve got something for you!!” Carrie interrupted.
Everyone nodded, going with that. I was shocked, yet excited.
“What? What it is?” I asked, curious.
“Well, it’s not our surprise, or gift. It’s Alec’s, but we’re helping.” Bells admitted.
Everyone shushed her, as if she just gave up a big secret, which, knowing Bells, she probably did.
“What’s going on guys?” I asked, suspicious.
Everyone sighed, and leaned in closer to me. I was anxiously waiting for what they were going to say. I unconsciously, leaned in closer as well, the suspense killing me.
“Alec has a surprise for you. We’re not going to tell you what, because we’ve already told more than we should have.” Stephanie explained, glaring at Bells at the end, who, in turn, blushed.
I bit my lip, to keep from grinning like a bobcat. How sweet!! Even after all that, he was still spoiling me to no end. He couldn’t get any better I swear.
“We’re supposed to get you ready for his big surprise, so please. Cooperate with us.” Carrie said.
Alex’s POV
I let them lead me to Emily and Joe’s room, where they all instantly started talking at once. I silenced them with my glare though, not wanting to be mean, but really wanting to see my surprise.
“Can I just get ready, please? I haven’t seen Alec since I passed out and I want to see him again.” I told and asked them.
“Aw!!” came the reply.
I rolled my eyes and went to the closet to find something to wear. I was pulled away by everyone, almost instantly.
“What? Why can’t I choose what I want to wear?” I asked, tugging out of their grip.
“Alec has already got something for you to wear.” Emily said, smiling.
Aw, he already has what I’m going to wear planned out. How sweet. They took out the dress, for me to see and I was shocked that Alec knew me so well.
It was midnight blue, and went a little past my knees. It also flowed out at the bottom. Apparently, Alec knew exactly what I liked. Midnight blue was the color of my wolf, my eyes and my favorite color. He also knew that I wouldn’t like the dress to be too short, that’s why it went past my knees, and he knew that I didn’t want it to cling to my body too much, hence why it flowed out at the bottom. He had pretty much nailed me, which was great. We already knew so much about each other.
The girls were told not to put too much make-up on me, again Alec’s orders. He knew how much I didn’t like a lot of make-up on me and that if the girls tried to put a lot on me, I wouldn’t protest. I smiled the whole time, as they worked up on me. I was on pins and needles trying to figure out what Alec had planned for us.
When they were finally done, we hung out for a bit, just talking and catching up. I told them what happened or my side anyway. They were growing distressed, so I said I would tell them later, not wanting to ruin the moment.
We moved to the living room, and starting chatting. The pack came in to talk to me, slowly and little by little. They said they missed me and were happy that I’m back. The little kids were very excited to see me, jumping onto my lap, playing with me, until they had to go. The teenagers were happy to see me, saying school and such was boring without me. The parents were grateful to see me, saying that their kids wanted to play with me. The elders were glad that they could see the alpha couple. The last bit made me blush, but what was weird was the way they had said it, as if they knew something I didn’t.
I got to see Brendan, Oscar, Josh, Andrew, Jack, John, Jacob, Daniel, David, Damon, John and Joe again. Each one of them praised Alec and his surprise, saying I would absolutely love it, or they hoped I would. It made me really curious as to what Alec was planning. He never went all out like this.
My stomach started to growl, considering I hadn’t had eaten since lunch yesterday and I skipped dinner, breakfast and lunch, I was starving. That’s was everyone’s queue to leave. The girls told me to go downstairs and exit through the back door, in the kitchen. I followed their instructions, accordingly. Let’s see what this big is.

It's safe to say that there will be a couple more chapters before this thing ends. It's going to end with the surprise and then I'm going to ask you guys a big question.
