This was my worst nightmare.

Dad and Mr Wade was getting along perfectly, like father and son as they bonded over the football. Mr Wade even inviting dad to the game with me. Thankfully dad had work but said next weekend he was coming to see him play. I knew dad liked him all the more as Mr Wade gave him the whole ask for permission before dating. As sweet as that was I think it was more show than anything. I mean, he wouldn’t really do that.

He’s a total babe, he would have women lined up or most likely set to speed dial, a different one a night probably. My jealousy seeping through my pores for some unknown and stupid reason, he could be with whoever he wanted. It wasn’t like I was on his radar.

“Mia, you’ve hardly touched your food.” Mr Wade smirked as dad scolded me.

Could he have embarrassed me anymore, I rolled my eyes as I spoke back. “You know I don’t like the skins on sausages.”

Mr Wade grinned even wider but didn’t say anything. I could only imagine the dirty thoughts going on in that man’s mind right now.

“So Noah, tell me about your family, where are you from?” Dad asked. He was asking so many personal questions but being honest I actually wanted to hear what he had to say, I sat up a little straighter and looked up as Mr Wade started talking.

“I’m actually not from around here. I was born and raised in Hobart and the winters were a little too cold for me, I moved up here for college and graduated earlier. I’ve always enjoyed maths so why not become a maths teacher.” He was speaking with a deep passion. I honestly didn’t expect to see anyone that excited over a school subject, maths of all things but I felt exactly the same. I loved maths more than any other subject, even a little more so than English.

Thankfully dad seemed pleased and stopped asking so many invasive and personal questions. I left them outside talking and headed into do the dishes. One thing I couldn’t stand was mess around, I guess I was a little ocd with things out of place.

I felt something slap my thighs and hissed as I turned around, Mr Wade stood there grinning from ear to ear with a tea towel in his hand. “Hurt huh?” He asked reaching for a plate and starting to wipe up.

“That really hurt!” I picked up the wash cloth and slapped it down on his strong toned and tanned biceps. Oh they were nice to look at.

He just laughed, not caring that this t-shirt sleeve was now wet and water dripped down his arm, “You know Mia, I’m a guest in your house and that was mean. Not very hostess like.”

I rolled my eyes, “I’m sorry Mr Wade.”

Another flick to my thigh and I winced, god that hurt. “I told you to call me Noah.” He said a little more firmly.

Oops, “I’m sorry Noah.”

“Good, so I’m looking forward to seeing your bedroom, your dad told me you have quite the collection of books, first editions as well which has me very interested.” He smiled and reached for another plate to wipe.

My mind was so frazzled, watching as he flexed while wiping or bending to put something away. God he was hot, he was more than hot. He was sexy, I bet he was a sex god as well. I suddenly found myself wondering if he was a passionate lover, wondering how he sounded as he slept with someone.

“Shut the hell up.” I hissed to myself quietly. Why on earth would I think something like that for? I was sick for even thinking something so dirty but yet it was so erotic.

I jumped, throwing the cloth in the sink and breathing a little heavier as I felt my cheeks flame.

Noah looked at me confused. “Mia, I’ve been talking to you for ages and all you did was look at me as if you was going to eat me. Are you ok?”

Oh now that’s embarrassing.

I suddenly felt so nervous, did I clean my room this morning, make the bed and pick my underwear up from the floor. Damn, “Umm yes I’m fine, I was thinking about my room and you in it. Let me go clean up first then, it’s the one with a silver handle.” I said as I pulled the plug from the sink and took off before he could distract me any further.

I fell down to my perfectly made bed. My room was clean and that was a relief, I couldn’t deal with cleaning in a hurry. I kept my eyes on the door, I was getting more and more nervous as the seconds neared. The footsteps coming closer until a soft knock hit the door.

“Yeah.” I called out quietly and sat up.

Noah walked in and closed the door slightly, giving me a lopsided grin, “Wouldn’t want your dad to get the wrong idea about us.”

That was a stake to the heart.

“Guess not.” I answered him with a shrug. Putting my walls back up.

“So the books?” He asked looking around my room until his eyes locked in on then. He turned and gave me a grin, a dazzling and adorable grin. “Mia, wow this is impressive, when your dad said first editions I was expecting, well I don’t know what I was expecting but this, you’ve got all the Walt Disney Fairy-tale in original’s and perfect conditions, where did you get them?” He asked, pulling out Snow White and sitting beside me on the bed.

“They were mums,” I said quietly. “Before she died she gave them to me.”

He turned and looked at me, “I’m sorry, I lost my dad a couple years ago and it’s tough when they just go suddenly. If you want to talk about that then I’m always here to listen.”

“Thanks.” I smiled feeling myself ache for the loss of his father.

The bedroom door flew open and my dad stood there, his eyes darting between us both and then to the book in Noah’s hand. “Uh,” he scratched his head awkwardly. “I’ve got to go into work, umm Mia will you be right until tomorrow afternoon?”

I wanted to grumble. Of course he would have to go back into work.

“It’s fine dad. Go and work.”

“I’m sorry kiddo, I’ll make it up to you I promise,” That’s what he always said. He looked at Noah and held his hand out, “Pleased to meet you, you’re welcome back anytime you want.”

“Thanks and great to meet you too.” Noah shook his hand back and then dad left the bedroom.

It wasn’t long until the car started up and dad had left. Noah was getting into the book, making himself right at home as he laid beside me and started to read. I couldn’t help but look over his body, his chest was slightly showing with a small train of hair spreading to his belly button.

Before I knew what I was doing my finger was running up slowly.

“Mia.” Noah spoke quietly. His whole body had frozen up.

Oh my god. This was now my worst nightmare. “Uh, I just wanted to see what men hair feels like.”

Could I have thought of anything more stupid to say right now?

He then did the one thing I wasn’t expecting. He put the book aside and laughed, not slight laugh but a full blown hard laugh that had him curling up and then moving to all fours, “Mia if you wanted to touch my body, all you had to do was ask me. But then again I don’t believe you when you say you’ve never touched a man there before.”

I just looked at him and put my head down. “I haven’t.” I said quietly.

“Mia look at me,” He asked, I lifted my head up and tried to avoid those eyes but it was too hard not to look. “You’ve never been with a man have you, I mean you’re pure and untouched?”

I nodded, “Well you kissing my cheek was the most touched I’ve been.” I mumbled.

For a man like him to ask me that and then get an answer he obviously didn’t expect had me worrying and wondering when he was going to laugh again or tease me. But he didn’t.

“You really are something else, a lot of guys dream about having someone like you in their life.” He then laid back down and picked the book up. I frowned but also wondered what he meant by that.

I let out a yawn and looked at the time, almost five in the evening and Mr, I mean Noah was still lying beside me and reading. I didn’t peg him for a book worm.

“Would you like to stay for dinner?” I asked nervously.

He looked up from the book and glanced anywhere but me, then finally making eye contact with me. “Sounds good, what are we having?”

We. That word made the heart flutter a little fast.

“I could make stir-fry or something?” I suggested.

“That sounds good. I’ll help you if you like?” He grinned and then his phone went off. He reached for his pocket and his whole smile faded. “Actually I’ve really got to go, can I take a raincheck and we do something another night, I’m sorry Mia.”

“It’s ok.” I played it off as if it didn’t bother me. But it kind of did.

“I really am sorry, I’ll pick you up tomorrow morning though for the game.” He let out a yawn as he walked to the front door, I followed behind him. He sighed as he turned around, “Mia I really am sorry.”

“Its fine,” I shrugged. “You’ve got a life and have no need to hang out with a pure and untouched girl.” I didn’t mean for that to come out nasty or sarcastic but judging from the look over Noah’s face he was stunned.

“Uh. Shit now I feel bad, I didn’t want you to take that as negative, god I’m a dick sometimes. Look, I have to go and pick up my drunk mother and take her home, I’ll come back after I get her into bed and to sleep is that ok?” He asked looking at me and then his watch.

Now I felt like a good horrible cow. “Noah I’m sorry. It’s ok, you don’t have to come back here.”

“No I want to, plus that book was getting interesting, I’ve never read or watched the Walt Disney movies. I promise I’ll come back and help cook, how about you write a list of everything you want to ask me and email it, I will be able to answer that way if you want?” He suggested.

I cocked a brow, “Anything?” I asked slowly, I was more shocked he hadn’t read those books or watched the movies.

He smirked, “Yes, anything at all and I will answer, but you have to answer as well.” He stepped closer towards me and I stopped biting my lip.

“Ok. Well I will see you a bit later then.” I replied and he lent in.

I thought he was going to kiss me but instead his lips bypassed my face and went to my ear, “Trust me, it’s not a bad thing at all.” He whispered which in return it caused me to blush.

Mr Noah Wade left and I sat on the bed with my laptop. Googling questions to ask men. My eyes wandering up and down the pages and pages filled with random questions, finally stopping at one with the best questions to ask your boyfriend.

He wasn’t my boyfriend but the questions were by far detailed and amazing to ask so I clicked and started reading. I couldn’t hold in my giggles as I scanned through them. Sending the first one and receiving a reply almost instantly.

‘Wow, didn’t ever expect to be asked that. You’re a naughty girl Mia.’
