18 y/o Dean Pov
I walked up to my girlfriends apartment door. We've been dating for a little over four months. She doesn't know about my job, i want to keep her safe, and not telling her is the only way i can think of doing so. I knocked and the door opened a crack. I pushed it open the rest of the way and walked in quietly. I rested my hand on my gun. "(Y/n)" i called her name. She never leaves her door unlocked. I heard something fall in her bedroom, so i took off in a jog in that direction. When i walked through her door (y/n) was kneeling on the ground next to an open box of bullets. "What the hell?" I questioned out loud.
"Dean" she stood up quickly "how'd you get in here?" She asked
"Door was open" i stated
"Look, its not what it looks like" she pushed the box under her bed.
"Then what is it?" I asked
"You wouldn't believe me if i told you" she chuckled humourlessly.
"Try me." I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Dean i don't know" she sighed
"If you love me, you will tell me" i stated
"I am what certain people call a hunter." She looked down and started to fiddle with her fingers. "I've never told anybody about this." She sighed.
"So you kill deer..." I raised an eyebrow "you've never told anyone you kill Bambi" i uncrossed my arms
"I hunt monsters." She blurted out as she sat down on the edge of her bed. "I'm so sorry" she dropped her head into her hands. I stared at her wide eyed. Shes a hunter. Just like me?
"Why are you apologizing?" I sat beside her
"I wanted to tell you, but my father. He told me no one could know. He said i'd be sent to a mental hospital" she mumbled "you probably think i'm crazy" she looked over at me.
"I don't think you're crazy" i smiled at her.
"Really?" She sat up straight
"What sort of things do you hunt?" I asked
"I went to kill a demon last week when you were out of town, but some bastard killed it before i got there." She explained.
"Sorry" i chuckled
"For what?" She questioned
"I was the bastard" i smiled
"You don't think i'm serious" she sighed
"I believe you, and i am being serious." I pulled my gun out from the back of my pants. "I was on that hunt" i held the gun out in front of me. She smiled at the weapon. "Why did you start hunting?" I questioned
"Dads a hunter" she shrugged "how bout you?" She questioned
"Family business" i smiled.
"Well isn't this luck. We're both hunters, so we don't need to lie about where we go when we go on hunts" she smiled.
"True" i nodded agreeing "by the way, i am leaving for Chicago once i leave here, theres a werewolf terrorizing the city" i said
"Can i catch a ride with you, cuz i was just packing to go on that hunt" she pointed to a duffle bag in her closet.
"I dunno, it could be dangerous" i smirked
"Don't go all protective boyfriend on me now." She rolled her eyes at me.
"Well i am going all protective boyfriend." I laughed
"Just remember one thing Winchester. I will always be able to whoop your ass" she smirked and got off of her bed, grabbing her duffle bag.
"Oh i know you can" i winked at her.
"Such a flirt" she chuckled and i stood up in front of her.
"You know i am" i smiled and pressed my lips against hers.
