"Do you have any idea what time it is, Shinra?" I hissed at my best friend on the phone. As if getting any sleep for me wasn't hard enough, this idiot insisted on calling me at ungodly hours of the night. And then... he complains that I don't get enough sleep.
This is why I hate my life.
"I dunno... midnight?" He slurred out, clearly drunk as hell. Great.
"It's 3 a.m.! Shinra, what have you been drinking?" I asked, pushing on my glasses (there was no way that I was about to put on my contacts).
"Stuff..." He slurred almost incoherently. I sighed, knowing exactly what I had to do.
"Where are you right now?" I asked, pulling on some pants and my usual v-neck shirt.
He gave me the name of some bar not too far away from his home in Ikebukuro.
"Alright, I'll be there in a bit... Stay. Put. Do you understand?" I asked. Shinra gave a muffled noise that I assumed was a yes.
As I walked out of the door, pulling my usual jacket and rushing out to catch a cab.
I found it kinda odd that a doctor, of all people would be the one that I had to go pick up from a bar for being black-out drunk. Note to self: Slap him and yell at him for being the biggest idiot on the planet.
As I exited the cab and walked up to the bar, I saw a very intoxicated Shinra sitting cross legged on the pavement next to a phone booth. I was amazed he had not been mugged yet.
"Iz-ay-a!!!" The doctors face lit up as I walked towards him. I nodded down at him, still pretty tired.
"Hey Shinra. Let's get you home, alright?" I said calmly, reaching my hand out to him. He smiled, hiccuped, and used my hand to hoist himself up.
We had managed to get about a block away from the bar when Shinra suddenly forgot who was dragging him around. Judging by his wandering hands and.... suggestive smirk, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he thought I was Celty...
Great.
Once we got to his apartment, I had to help him unlock the door, since Celty wasn't home.
"Alright, I'll just set you down on the couch and leave, alright?" I muttered sleepily. Shinra whined loudly and a bit too dramatically.
"I wanna go to my roooooom!" He whimpered. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at how helpless he was, but I agreed and dragged him through the hall and into another room.
"Ok, I've g-" I didn't get to finish, because a pair of warm lips pressed against mine, causing me to stumble backwards and fall onto the bed. the scent of alcohol lingered as Shinra kissed me.
After my initial surprise, I managed to push my highly intoxicated friend off of me. He just smiled slyly.
"You have beautiful eyes~" He whispered. I thought nothing of his comment as I got up and shot a glare back at him before leaving.
"Get some sleep, your completely wasted."
As I walked back home, I could see the sun rising. God, morning already?
I thought about how if Shinra hadn't mistaken me for the black rider, I could have been asleep by now. How did he even get us mixed up? We look noting alike-
"You have beautiful eyes~"
I paused as Shinra's words echoed through my head. Suddenly, it all clicked together.
"You have beautiful eyes~"
