"We got a combat experimentation room. Let's do this in there." He growls with confidence pointing behind him.
"Huh?!" I gasped out confused. I raise a confused eyebrow.
"You turned Genos into a piece of modern art. Fight's on!" Saitama says with attitude.
"Wait Saitama?!" my voice drifts as the pair Saitama and the Carnage Kabuto run down the dark tunnel. I felt my shoulders shiver. I squeak and look behind me. Nothing was there.
"I got a bad feeling about this." I yelp out as Genos was nowhere to be seen. I spin in a full circle trying to find him. I sigh in exhaustion and I lightly jog in the direction of Saitama and Carnage Kabuto.
I see a light in the distant approaching and I start to slow down. I gasp for breath. I freeze in fright as I see a body leaning on the edge of the wall near my right. Genos slumps down from his body being damaged.
"Genos, are you ok?" I gasp and rush over to him, holding onto his left arm. He suddenly lifts up his head and rushes forward making my skirt lift up a little and I gasp rushing my hands down to hold it down. I look up to see explosions; Genos was attacking Carnage Kabuto with his fire while running around him. Then I see him jump with his right arm up.
"You fool!" Carnage Kabuto's voice echoes in the large white room. Genos resumes to attack Carnage Kabuto multiple times with his fists. Suddenly Genos gets punched by Carnage Kabuto sending him flying into Saitama's arms. I see Saitama place Genos on the floor. Genos then fires a large blast of fire towards Carnage Kabuto, he manages to backfire the inferno with his breath towards the pair of men.
"Genos! Saitama!" I scream gasping in fear. My eyes widen at Genos sudden change of hair, as it was now an Afro. I quickly cover my mouth trying not to laugh.
"What's the hold up? Let's go! Bring everything you've got." Carnage Kabuto yells, taunting Saitama and Genos. I suddenly see Saitama get up with his serious face on.
"Oh, I see it. I see it! You're supposed to be strong." Carnage Kabuto says pointing at Saitama.
"Don't disappoint me now. You're this place's ultimate weapon, right? You're clearly not the same as the guys from this morning. Look at you, just oozing with confidence." Saitama says seriously, Carnage Kabuto smirks and rushes past him and behind him. He lets out an uneasy sound, he jumps and flies back onto the other side of the room, I could see he looks uneasy.
"He just backed off? Carnage Kabuto?!" a man said. I turn to look on my left to see a guy with dark hair and glasses. Blood from his head and he was gripping his shoulder. He was staring at the scene that is occurring in front of me. I didn't want to see if he's ok, looks like a mad scientist.
"You bastard! How the hell did you get that strong?!" Carnage Kabuto yelled towards him. I stare at Saitama. He sacrificed everything for three years, and I was there for him. I was worried that it might break him, but he continued.
"Genos, you listen carefully too." Saitama says to Genos, making him gasp.
"I'd like to know too." The mysterious man said in the middle of the room. How the hell did he get there?
"Huh? Who are you?" Saitama says confused.
"I am Dr. Genus." He said proudly.
"Well, fine. Listen up." Saitama says.
"First, what's important is, to make sure you stick to this intense training regimen." Saitama said seriously. I start to jog towards everyone and stand a little way behind the mysterious man.
"Listen, Genos. You just have to keep doing it. No matter how hard it gets. It took me three years to get this strong." Saitama says before putting on a serious face than before.
"One hundred push-ups! One hundred sit-ups! One hundred squats! The ten km run. Every single day!" Saitama finished as everyone stared at him awestruck.
I could still remember him training hard like it was yesterday.
Flashback
"Saitama, I bought some food-" I stopped dropping the vegetables and meat. I saw Saitama in his pyjamas laying down on his futon. I slowly looked up, and I gasped, wide eyed at the note I saw thatt was on his air conditioner: Save Money!
"Saitama!" I rush over to his laying form. I place my hands on his forehead and I feel the warm skin burning on my hand, I gasp and quickly rush to the kitchen. I grab a rag and wet it with cold water. I quickly dash back to him and tried to place the rag onto his forehead, but he pushes it away. I gasp.
"Saitama?" I said confused.
"I... can't use... any A/C or anything cool..." Saitama replied in a raspy voice.
"Are you crazy?! Your sick Saitama!" I said a bit worried at his attitude. I grit my teeth. He's going to die if he keeps this up.
I dab the cool rag onto his forehead and onto his neck. He moans in pleasure, I start patting down his face with water and his breath resumes to normal.
"(Reader)..." he mutters.
"Please, I know you want to become strong, but let me take care of you, ok?" I whisper softly to him, patting the rag on his neck, collarbone and chest, blushing from his shirt being open. I feel hands on top of mine, I look down at Saitama, he gives me a small smile.
"Thank you, (Reader)." He mutters back, closing his eyes and takes a little nap, as a continue patting down his face and neck to cool Saitama down. I love you Saitama.
End of Flashback
"Human beings are strong because we have the ability to change ourselves. " Saitama says aloud knocking me out of my thoughts.
"Full of crap!" Genos screams. What?!
"Huh?" Saitama's face changes from the comment.
"That is nothing but standard strength training! And it's not even that intense! It's just a normal level! I...I have to get stronger. I didn't ask to study under you just to hear jokes!" Genos yells standing up.
"Master Saitama, your power is clearly stronger than what you'd get from just training your body. We want to know your true secret!" Genos yelled like he was pleading.
"Genos... that's all Saitama did to get strong, it was hard for him, and...and me, because I had to watch him suffer and break himself, but I was here for him to the very end!" I yelled to Genos, standing up for Saitama. I hear a gasp behind me and a Saitama softly places his hand on my shoulder.
"Thanks, (Reader)" he mutters to me.
"Genos... You may bot believe me, but that's really all I did." Saitama says making Genos gasp. I hear popping sounds and I look up to see Carnage Kabuto transforming into a larger monster, explaining how he is going to go on a rampage for a whole week. I felt my legs glue to the floor as I stare at Carnage Kabuto screaming. I feel my body get pushed out of the way making my body fly. I caught a glimpse of Saitama get punched in the face, I gasp. I land roughly onto the ground. I groan and lift myself up to see Saitama getting bashed around the place, that was until.
"Bargain day at the supermarket!!" Saitama yells punching Carnage Kabuto dead.
"I screwed up!!!" Saitama screams in frustration. I couldn't move from the sudden actions.
"I'm pretty sure he's upset about this." Genos said to my right.
"Master, the store closes at 10:00PM. That is about four hours away. If we hurry, we can make it." Genos said walking over to Saitama. Saitama suddenly gets up.
"I'll make it if I hurry?" he stutters out.
"Yes." Genos replies.
"Let's go, Genos! (Reader)!" Saitama said rushing over to me.
"Huh?!" I stutter out. Suddenly my body gets picked up and I was in Saitama's arms. I blush and quickly wrap my arms around his neck, as I was about to fall.
"Yes, Master!" I heard Genos say behind us.
Saitama runs with me in his arms, smashes the wall and we run back into the forest to get back to City Z.
"Saitama, I thought you were going to die." I mutter to him, as he was running.
"(Reader)... It's ok, you're not going to lose me." Saitama says back, I look up at him and he gives me a smirk. I stare in awe, and I smile back hugging him, I place my head on his chest as I felt light trickles of tears fall down my face as Saitama continues running with me in his arms. I felt safe and I hope that happens in the future.
