SO if you can't tell, this chapter is SUPER long just for you guys :D I was going to update earlier but I wasn't happy with it so I did'nt update it.  Before I knew it, it was 28 pages on word! So crazy but I absolutely love this chapter! Be ready for some intense action!!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do not own the characters of TV show teen wolf such as Scott, Derek, Allison, Stiles, and so on. I do not own the show teen wolf. I do not own the ideas of the TV show Teen Wolf. (Though I wish I could be such an amazing writer as the writer of Teen Wolf!!!) I do own my characters such as Emily and her friend Stephanie, and Sean because I created them.

Chapter 15:

--Emily's POV:

"There." Sean said more to himself as a snap echoed in the almost silent room.

I looked down at the metal chains and shackles around my wrists and couldn't help but frown. They ran down from my wrists and connected to the concrete wall.

Sean must have noticed me frown because I felt his hand under my chin, lifting my face up so he could see my eyes. My green eyes met with his light blue ones.

"It's just a precaution. It's only to keep you safe just in case." He said with a smile. "We don't want you running off if you shift."

I returned his smile but mine was definitely fake. I nodded my head knowing that if it weren't for these chains, I could potentially be putting Sean in a lot of danger.

Sean didn't say anything as he moved next to me and sat down and leaned against the same cold wall I was. He took off his thick brown jacket and placed it next to him. I tried to relax as I stared at my surroundings. This room was more like a dungeon and was almost an exact duplicate of the dungeon Kate had brought me not too long ago. I felt shivers run down my spine as the memories flooded my brain. That's when I had first seen Derek's true self. He had glowing blue eyes back then. They were stunning yet terrifying at the same time.

It troubled me that this dungeon even existed but it had its purpose. Derek had explained earlier on that these underground rooms were where his family would lock up his young family members when they weren't able to control their werewolf sides yet on the full moon.

"You alright? You're spacing out." I heard Sean say next to me.

"Yeah. Sorry." I mumbled.

Sean reached in front of us and pulled the large duffle bag he had brought closer to him. It had contained all the chains that were now weighing down my body. My attention was quickly brought to Sean's hands as I saw him draw out a small metal object from one of the side pockets. I swallowed hard as I realized he was taking out a gun.

I opened my mouth to ask him what it was for but he beat me to it.

"Calm down. It's not for you." He chuckled even though I didn't think it was funny. "It's in case someone tries to bother us."

My thoughts immediately went to the Argents and the other hunters.

"This," Sean whispered as he took out a small glass bottle of blue liquid from the large bag, "is for you."

"What is it?" I asked not sure if I liked the idea.

"It's a type of wolfsbane," He said as he rolled the small bottle in his hand, "in case you do shift. There's a very good chance that these chains won't hold you for long if you do so this will be my last resort."

"What does it do?" I asked with uncertainty.

"It will paralyze you temporarily." He answered with a serious tone.

"Will it hurt?"

Sean turned his head to look at me and nodded once. I took a deep breath and turned away from him, the chains rattling at my slightest movements.

"I won't have to use this though if the others come. They will be able to restrain you if they get here in time." Sean said and I could hear the slight anger coming from his voice.

"They will be here." I said but it was more to myself. I couldn't help but wonder exactly why they could not come here with Sean and I but Derek had said it was very important. I was surprised at how easily I took the news that they wouldn't be coming with us until later but I knew Derek would explain.

A few silent seconds passed as my eyes wandered around the room. The walls were all a dark colored stone and looked slick. There was little light coming from the only fixture on the ceiling. There was some light coming from above us though. I looked up and noticed at the very top of the wall there was a heavily boarded up window that was letting in some light from the full moon.

Sean noticed me looking at it and glanced up at the window as well.

"Don't worry. The window is completely boarded up. It would be hard for any werewolf, let alone human, to get through it." He assured me.

There was little noise coming from outside which made me feel uncomfortable. Only the wind blowing through the small openings in the window could be heard.

"It's like the calm before the storm." I said more to myself but I knew Sean had heard.

I could see him nod out of the corner of my eye. It was then that I realized the lack of space in between Sean and I. It didn't bother me at all; it was just that I didn't want to hurt him if something happened.

"Is it safe for you to be so close to me right now?" I suddenly asked.

"Why are you asking?" He asked, the worry was obvious in his voice. "Do you feel different?"

"No. I just don't want to hurt anyone." I mumbled.

I turned just in time to see Sean smirk.

"You couldn't hurt me even if you tried," He chuckled and paused, "not even with claws."

"That isn't funny." I snapped but couldn't help but smile a little. Sean always knew how to lighten up the moment.

I jumped as a sudden ringing reached my ears. I could feel my heart jump as Sean pulled his phone from his pocket, hoping that it was the others saying that they were coming.

"Right on time." He mumbled as he stared at Scott's name written across his phones screen.

I watched and listened anxiously as Sean stood up and answered his phone. I leaned forward but found that the chains around my wrists limited most of my movements.

"So he's safe?" Sean asked Scott on the phone.

For once I actually wished I had werewolf ears so I could hear what in the world Scott was saying to Sean. Who was he asking if they were safe? Were they in danger?

Sean glanced at me and I knew this was my opportunity.

"Are they coming?" I asked in an almost pathetic whisper.

I could tell that Sean couldn't contain a smile as he mouthed a 'yes' to me. It was obvious that I was more than happy and relieved that they were on their way.

"Ok. I'm coming." Sean said but I was again confused by what he said.

Sean quickly shut his phone and looked over at me. He took a deep breath and ran a hand through his blonde hair.

"Their already here." He said. "I sealed the door from the inside so I need to go and let them in."

"Ok. I said breathlessly, baffled that they were actually already here. I couldn't tell if it was the connection between Derek and I that I knew he was close or if it was just a coincidence.

"Don't you dare shift while I'm gone." Sean warned but I could tell he was extremely relieved that the others were here to help out.

"I won't." I said.

I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as reality finally started setting in. I wouldn't have to go through this without everyone.

Without a single word, Sean quickly went to the door but not before tucking his gun into his belt and grabbing his jacket that was next to me. I flinched when the door slammed behind him, leaving me completely alone and in silence.

I couldn't wait to see everyone. I was hoping that this entire thing would be a waste of time and we would laugh about all of this later. I smiled to my self. Maybe Scott wouldn't hate Derek so much if I didn't shift.

I looked down at the thick, silver chains still in-circling my wrists. How could anyone break away from these cold chains? The power of a werewolf still fascinated me.

The seconds that were passing seemed more like hours as I sat there as patiently as possible. I looked up at the window as a brighter light began shinning through it. My heart seemed to jump as I saw part of the full moon through its cracks. I swallowed hard as I stared at the beautiful glowing object. I closed my eyes slowly and took a deep breath.

And just like that, I felt it.

Heat spread across my shoulder like fire. It was like someone had just set my shoulder on fire and my flesh was burning.

A silent cry came from my parted lips as my hand immediately went to my shoulder. As soon as my hand touched the burning skin, I felt dizzy from the pain. Everything seemed to go dark until all I could see was black. I could still hear and feel everything around me. I jumped as I heard some of the boards creaking above me in the window. I winced because of the unbearable pain of any movement as I looked up but still my vision was black.

I shook and tried to scream for help as the pain became worse but nothing would come from my lips. Another noise above me had me really worried. Maybe Derek or Scott was trying to get through the window because Sean couldn’t open the door for some reason. The noise continued and I began to feel loose dirt falling from the window to my face. Someone was definitely out there.

I tried to gather my strength to call out for help but it was no use. The pain increased and I slumped over. My bite marks on my shoulder felt like the day Sean had touched them but only ten times worse. I was so scared and confused.

I could only hope Derek would hurry. He was the only one who could ease the pain but why was I even having this pain?

A much louder noise above me in the window made chills go down my spine. Something was wrong; I could feel it in my gut.

Just as fast as my vision had gone black, it was back in an instant but it was still limited. The pain dulled only slightly but I was thankful my eyesight was somewhat back. I felt like I was about to pass out and was dazed. My eyes immediately went to the window above me and a scream escaped my lips as I saw a dark, clawed hand disappear back outside.

--Sean’s POV:

“Hurry up!” Scott yelled from the other side of the door as I fumbled with the lock on the door.

“Step back.” I heard Derek say and I knew that I needed to get this door open now before he broke it down.

Within a second, the lock released and the door came flying open revealing a very distressed looking bunch.

“It’s about time.” Derek growled as he pushed past me to let the others in.

That’s when I noticed the extra person in the group.

“I’m guessing this is…?” I asked Scott as I watched the blonde haired, blue eyed stranger walk in to the tunnel. He looked about Emily’s age.

“This is Isaac. He is part of my pack.” Derek said in a low voice, as if challenging me to say something about it.

I hummed my disapproval but stopped when Derek quickly looked down the hall. Isaac did the same and that’s when I knew something was very wrong.

“What is it? What’s wrong?” I asked with worry.

In that exact moment a piercing scream came from down the hall.

“Emily.”

Before I could even move, Derek was already down the hall and ripping open the door to the room Em was in. Scott wasn’t far behind and I was right on his heals.

When we all reached the door, Derek was already inside. I silently braced myself for what I was about to see.

--Derek’s POV:

As soon as I reached the middle of the room, I felt my body freeze as Em slowly and weakly looked up at me. Her eyes were full of pain, confusion, and fear. I could feel my anger boiling up inside me as I noticed the chains around her. I hated seeing her like this but it was for her own good.

“Derek.” She whispered.

I quickly ran to her and moved down to her level. I could feel her pain the closer I got to her and it was killing me. I knew almost instantly that it was coming from the mark I had given her but I wasn’t sure why it was hurting her. I carefully placed my hand on her shoulder and her entire body jumped at my touch.

“Derek. What’s wrong with her?” Sean asked quietly.

Scott tried to move closer but I quickly warned him to stay away.

“She is in shock.” I told them.

I moved closer to Emily so Scott and Stiles could no longer see her. I looked up at Sean and it didn’t take much for him to realize what was going on. He kneeled down next to Em and I.

“It’s her mark, isn’t it?” Sean asked and I glared at him, knowing Scott could have very well heard what Sean had just said.

Sean was the only one who knew about the mark I had given Em and I planned on keeping it that way. Scott freaking out right now is the last thing we needed.

“The window.” Emily suddenly mumbled in an almost inaudible tone.

“What?” I said as I looked up at the window above us.

At first I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary but then I noticed it. Some of the boards were missing. I had made sure all the windows were boarded up as well a possible before Emily came here so I knew someone had moved them. I stood up slowly and stared out of the now much larger cracks in-between the boards.

It was then that I started to feel it. My instincts to protect Emily were kicking in. Someone or something was out there. As if on cue, a figure crawled quickly across the openings in front of the window outside like it was in some horror movie. It definitely wasn’t human but it didn’t move like a werewolf either.

“Scott. Someone is outside.” I growled as I shifted into my werewolf form.

I could sense that Scott had shifted as well.

"Sean. I need the keys to the shackles." I said in almost a panic. I needed to calm down.

"But she will easily escape if..." He started but stopped when my red eyes met his own eyes.

He quickly reached into his pocket and handed me the keys. I knelt down back in front of Emily and looked back into her eyes. They seemed almost lifeless and lost; like she wasn't there.

"Emily?" I asked as I reached down and began working on the lock on her left wrist.

She looked up at me and it looked as if she was regaining consciousness. She glanced behind me and her head cocked to the side a little as she saw Isaac standing near Scott.

“Emily?” I repeated as I undid the shackle from her left wrist, trying to get her attention back to me. It seemed as if my voice was getting through to her finally and the glaze over her eyes was fading.

“Derek. Someone is out there. I heard them…” She started but I stopped her.

“I know. We are going to get you out of here ok?” I responded and she seemed to relax slightly but it wasn’t for long.

As I reached for her right wrist I was interrupted by a sudden loud noise as if someone had just crashed through the window above us. I could feel a dull pain across my back as the boards came crashing down on us and the lights went out. I easily protected Emily from the boards that fell on us but what came next, none of us expected.

A horrible hissing sound came from the middle of the room that had my entire body tense. Whatever had just broken through the window was now in the room with us.

“Derek!” I heard Scott yell.

I quickly turned around and couldn’t believe what I saw. In the middle of the room, squatted down was a creature I had only ever read about and heard about from legends my family used to tell me.

I could hear Emily gasp behind me as she also saw the hideous creature. It almost had the body of a human but was covered in green scales that were so dark they almost looked black. Its claws were similar to mine and its glowing yellowish green eyes were like Scott’s. It may be unbelievable but it had a tail that was almost as long as its body. Thankfully its attention had gone to the four in front of us so I could get Emily out of the chains.

Isaac, Scott, Stiles, and Sean all stood there in complete shock.

“What is that?” I heard Stiles say with his mouth dropped but fear dripping from his voice.

It was then that I noticed the lizard-like creature’s attention was only on one of the four in front of us.

Sean.

Scott must have noticed that it was watching Sean and Sean only because Scott stepped in front of him and growled. The creature obviously didn’t like this as it lunged forward with a hideous roar. It slammed into Scott, knocking him to the ground beside him but never stopped. Its claws were raised and its target was still on Sean. Thankfully Sean wasn’t like any other human. He drew his gun within half a second and it was aimed directly at the creature’s chest. I winced as the harsh sound of a gunshot met my ears. The creature crumpled to the ground in front of Sean and the room was plagued by silence. We all stared at the abomination lying dead on the cold, dirt floor in front of us in shock.

“What the hell!” Stiles yelled. “What just happened!”

I could hear Sean’s heartbeat from across the room and it was pounding. Who could blame him though? A monster had just tried to attack him out of nowhere. My attention was brought straight back to Em’s as her heartbeat met my ears. It sounded like it was about to pound out of her chest. The shifting of the chains still tying her to the wall jingled as Em jumped when she saw my eyes.

“Derek.” She paused, her voice was so quiet and shaking, “What…?”

Her eyes were glued to the creature lying in the middle of the room and her body was shaking both from fear and pain. She opened her mouth to talk again but nothing would come out at first. I knelt down again and gently took her free hand in my hand. When she didn’t respond I lifted my hand up to her chin and carefully pushed it towards me so she had to look at me. My shoulder began to ache just as Emily winced.

“My shoulder,” she breathed.

“Is that the only thing that hurts?” I asked.

“The claw marks.” She replied. “Is that a different kind of werewolf?”

I shook my head, “I am not sure. It’s not going anywhere now so we need to focus on you.”

Yes, we had just been attacked by a monster that should only exist in dreams but in reality the full moon was still in the night sky and Emily was showing signs of a shift. My priority was Emily and only Emily. I immediately started working on the other shackle’s lock on her wrist.

“Can we just stop and talk about this please?” Stiles interrupted my thoughts again.

“No.” I growled.

Sean was next to me once again and his heart had finally gone back to a normal speed.

“You all right?” I asked under my breath.

“Yeah.” He replied. “What can I do to help?”

“Nothing right now. We need to move her somewhere though.”

Scott appeared next to us again, leaving Stiles standing next to Isaac at the back of the room staring at the creature lying in front of him.

“We can take her home? It obviously isn’t safe in here anymore.” Scott suggested as he glanced over at the figure. Isaac moved a little closer to us but kept his distance.

“The hunters, especially Argent, know where you live.” I said and he nodded his head in agreement.

“We can go to my apartment.” Sean recommended.

“So bringing Emily to an ex-hunter’s house, who has hunter friends, who probably had little hunter meetings at your ex-hunter house is a good idea?” Stiles butted in from across the room as he slowly stepped around the dead creature.

“He has a point.” Scott said.

“Can we not talk like Emily isn’t here?” A small, feminine voice met my ears.

We all looked towards Emily who was looking at the ground in front of us.

“Sorry Em.” Scott said.

“Stiles has a point but Sean’s apartment probably has things that could help with a shift.” Emily said in a weak tone.

We all looked at one another.

“Ok.” I told Em and couldn’t help but grin at her. I looked down at her wrist and with a turn of a key and a small snap the shackles fell from her wrist, completely freeing her. Yet, Em didn’t move.

“Lets go.” I said as I started to wrap my arms around Em to pick her up.

“Um, guys.” Stiles said and I stopped picking up Em.

We turned towards Stiles and I could feel my heart drop. The monster that was lying on the ground just a few moments ago was no longer there. A pool of dark blood was the only thing left.

“Derek.” Em’s worried voice echoed behind me.

“It’s ok.” I said, my voice coming out low.

“Where is it?” Scott asked quietly.

We all looked around the room but it was nowhere to be seen. I quickly reached behind me and Emily took my hand as the lights began to flicker. I had to watch in front of me for the monster but I also wanted to make sure Emily was always in arms length. As excruciating seconds passed the light began to dim and within moments, the light went out. The light from the full moon had faded because of the thick clouds that had rolled in. Even with my sensitive eyes, it was still difficult to see.

“Scott, protect them.” I said referring to Sean and Stiles.

“I can protect myself.” Sean said through clinched teeth.

“That thing seems to be after you, not us. You need all the help you can get. Last time I checked, humans can’t see in the dark. Scott and I can.” I growled back at Sean, annoyed at him.

I wasn’t telling Scott to protect him because Sean was weak, I was telling Scott too because we didn’t know what we were dealing with.

“Screw that. Protect me as much as you want Scott.” Stiles said.

I could feel Emily’s grip tighten around my hand and I knew she was scared. She had every right to be.

A sudden noise on the opposite side of the room had us looking straight towards it but I could tell no one was there, at least not anymore. Another noise came from our left but once again there was nothing. The light turned on for only a split second and turned back off, leaving my eyes only a second to adjust to the darkness again. They didn’t adjust fast enough though.

It felt like a boulder had slammed into me as I was knocked completely off my feet. Emily’s hand was ripped out of mine and I went crashing into the wall. Panic began to set in as I quickly recovered and saw that monster standing right in front of Scott and Isaac. Sean and Stiles were both lying against the wall behind him. I could still hear their heartbeats but they were definitely unconscious. The monster had made easy targets of them because they couldn’t see; yet it hadn’t touched Emily.

Scott swung at the figure but barely missed. The creature took advantage of Scott’s failed attempt and swiped its claws across his chest. The smell of fresh blood met my nose and I quickly got up. Scott fell to his knees and I charged the creature, connecting a hit on its side. It stumbled the opposite way but quickly recovered.

As if the light was on the creature’s side, it began to flicker again, throwing off Scott, Isaac, and my own eyesight. In the blink of an eye the monster was in front of me and I had no time to react. Pain spread across my abdomen as a fist connected with it. Isaac appeared next to the monster but I knew it would be a failure if he tried to fight. The creature’s claws connected with Isaac’s face and upper chest, knocking him out instantly. The creature’s attention was turned directly back to me. It easily threw me back a few feet with a single blow and knocked the air out of me once again.

“Derek!” Em screamed as she stared at me wide-eyed. She was now over by her brother’s side.

Scott was lying face down in the dirt but I didn’t understand why. There was no way that one slash across his chest would have knocked him out. He was so much stronger than that.

I felt almost sick as I saw the creature turn its attention to Emily after she screamed my name. I struggled to stand as the creature began creeping towards her on all fours. The light stopped flickering and my eyes easily adjusted to the darkness. With all my strength I pushed myself off the ground, ignoring the pain in my gut. I rushed towards the monster and brought my clawed hand down across its back. It let out a horrible hiss and turned towards me but this time it wouldn’t have a second chance to catch me off guard. My claws ripped across its chest and shoulder, sending it sideways from the sheer power of the hit but not before its fist came colliding with my shoulder.

And just like that it disappeared as the lights flickered once again. My eyesight was thrown off but I knew that the monster wouldn’t be getting up any time soon. I quickly moved towards Emily and dropped to my knees. She slowly lifted her hand towards the bruise that was slowly healing on my shoulder and I could see tears brimming in her eyes. She looked back down at her brother and her tears finally began falling. I could sense her physical pain increasing with every moment.

“What did it do to him?” She whispered.

“I’m not sure. It could be some type of poison or maybe…” I was cut off as I felt pain rush to my head as something collided with it. It felt like someone had just hit me with a bat.

I could hear Emily’s muffled screams as I collapsed to the ground. My vision was blurry and I felt like I was going unconscious but I tried to push it back. My hands balled into weak fists in the dirt as I saw the creature move beside me, not even two feet away from Em. I was shocked. There was no way that it was still conscious after that blow I had given him. Emily sat on her knees completely frozen in fear. I silent hoped and wished that she would move or run but she didn’t.

The monster turned and looked down at me. I let out a low growl but it was cut off as its clawed hands wrapped around my neck. It lifted me up in the air only to throw me across the room into the hard stonewall. I slid down the wall until I was sitting on the dirt floor. My vision was completely blurred but I knew I had to get up. Emily was the only one left awake now and I was the only one who could save her.

A loud crash came from the opposite of the room where Emily was and then the room grew deadly silent. I shook my head in a panic to get my vision back and within a few moments it slowly began to return.

“Emily!” I yelled but there was no answer.

I shook my head again, trying to muster any strength I had left to get up and protect Emily.

“Emily!” I yelled again.

I was met by nothing but silence.

She was gone.
