*Mitch's POV*

"Mitch, it hurts." Kirstie whispers for the hundredth time.

I don't care how many times she says it, this pain isn't normal and needs to be checked.

"Why... Why did you... Put it off?"

"I didn't think it was that important. I thought I was just having period pain or something."

"Please tell us. Always."

"I will, Mitchie."

We hear a knock at the door and a nurse enters.

"Hi, guys! I'm Dr. Whitley and I will be taking care of you today. What seems to be the problem?"

I glance at Kirstie.

"I've been... My head's been hurting a lot and I don't think it's normal."

The doctor writes down something.

"Medical history?"

"Um... I've been in two car accidents while on a tour bus. I lost my memory for a short while."

"I see. Okay. I'm just going to do a short checkup and then we will need to have a scan done of your head. It will be quick."

I watch carefully as a checkup is done on Kirstie to make sure that she's okay.

"Okay. Now we will do the scan. Please follow me."

We follow the doctor into a small room and Kirstie lies down on the bed.

"Me and Mr. Grassi will go behind this glass while the scan is taking place. The machine may be loud, so here are some earplugs."

I walk outside of the glass and wait until the scan is over.

I haven't told anyone what's going on yet.

I text everyone and tell them where we are and not to worry.

I immediately get worrisome texts back.

Did they not listen when I told them not to worry?

Kirstie and the doctor comes into the room a few minutes later.

"The info from the scan shows that her brain is perfectly normal. This is common after a traumatic brain injury. Painkillers should help and for her mental health, therapy should help since there are no motor issues."

"Thank you so much." Kirstie says and shakes the doctor's hand.

"My pleasure. Please watch yourself and let someone know if the pain persists or gets worse. Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas!" We yell and walk outside.

"I'm glad you're okay." I say.

"Me too. Did you get the Uber?"

"Yep. They should be here soon."

"Mitch, I'm sorry for making you come all the way out here and do all of this because I know-"

I put my hand over her mouth.

"You're... Important."

She smiles. "We have 2 1/2 hours to get ready for tonight. I'm so excited!"

My eyes widen.

2 1/2 hours?!

Mama needs more time than that.

"What? Mitch? Are you okay?" Kirstie asks.

"Not enough time." I frown.

She rolls her eyes. "Mitch, you already look great."

The Uber pulls up. "C'mon Mitch!" Kirstie yells, running up to the car.

I shake my head at her childishness and get in the car.

Everything is gonna be ok.

It's Christmas.

We're okay.

*Scott's POV*

This is not okay!

Dinner is in a couple of hours and I'm trying my best to get ready for Mitch.

"Okay... What about this?" Kevin says, pulling another shirt out of my bag.

"You already showed me that one." I whine.

"Well, why don't you just go naked, then?"

I raise an eyebrow. "I mean... I'm sure Mitch won't mind."

He rolls his eyes and throws me a shirt. "This is like, the only one I haven't pulled out."

"It's perfect!"

"Great. Okay, now get dressed."

I pull my shirt on over my head and button it up.

I pull on my jeans and my shoes and go to the bathroom.

Next, the hair.

I sit down on a stool and put some stuff in my hair and do it all wavy like our stylist does.

I put on a little bit of foundation and take one final look at myself.

"Wow, you look hot." Kevin says.

"Thanks. Same for you."

"Are you ready?" He asks and picks up my presents for me.

"Yeah. I'm nervous."

"Don't be. You look great. Ooh, this one is mine!" He says and shakes a box.

"Not yet."

"Sorry. Let's go!"

I slip on some shoes and grab my phone.

Just a couple more hours.

*Mitch's POV*

"Okay, Mitch. This is literally the last shirt you have." Kirstie says and holds up a shirt.

"It's perfect!" I say and hug her tightly.

I put on the shirt and walk to the bathroom.

"My hair... Looks good." I say and grab some concealer.

"It always does." Kirstie laughs.

"Go get ready." I say.

"I need help with my outfit." She says.

"Okay. Let's go." I say and grab my phone.

I walk to her room and start going through her clothes.

"This is cute."

"Oh, yeah I'll wear that."

"Your makeup is on fleek."

"Thanks. Yours too." She says and goes to the bathroom to change.

I get a reminder on my phone that dinner is in an hour while waiting for Kirstie to change.

She walks out of the bathroom.

"You look stunning."

She smiles a small smile. "Thanks."

I grab both of her hands. "I promise. Now, let me do your hair."

She giggles and sits down. "Is this Queen Mitch's hair salon?"

"Yes, honty."

I pull out her curling iron and heat it up.

I put her hair in two sections and start curling the bottom half.

Once both sections are curled, I braid a front piece of hair and pull it back.

I spray the crap out of her hair and turn her around.

"Wow, Mitch. I feel pretty."

"You are pretty," I check my phone. "We have thirty minutes. Let's start heading downstairs."

We both grab our presents and walk to the elevator.

We meet the other three on the way.

"Merry Christmas, guys!" Kevin says happily.

Me and Scott make eye contact.

God, I miss him.

When we get to the dining room it looks great.

All of the crew members are there setting up and the tables are all fancy.

Ha, famous perks.

Okay... We aren't that famous.

Everyone sets their presents on a table and picks their chairs.

Someone comes up beside me.

"Is this seat taken?"

I shake my head.

I feel a hand grip mine.

I look up to see bright blue eyes staring at me.

"Mitch."

"Scott."

"I-"

Someone taps a glass with a fork.

We were gonna have a moment I swear whoever did that-

"I don't think this dinner would be complete without some music." One of our crew guys says.

We all look at each other and know exactly what song to sing.

Kevin hums everyone's pitches.

When we start singing beautiful harmonies fill the air.

Scott and I hold hands the whole song.

"That's the love that Christmas can bring, oh, why,"

I look into Scott's eyes and press my lips against his.

"'Cause that's Christmas to me."
