" I can't.. i can't do this anymore..", Camila's tears rolled down her rosy cheeks. They were thick like water drops..
" You cant.. you can't just fucking leave!", Lauren stood in front of the door way, hoping Camila would hear her out, just this once.
" I'm not just leaving.. i'm leaving you, Lauren... I'm done.. i'm done with all of this.. with this life, with the fighting.. i'm tired of it.. you and i have no cure.. we should've known from the beginning we would never work out.. I can't believe i let this go on for so long.." , she rubbed her belly up and down. And Lauren's green eyes just shot down to Camila's stomach... she was 7 months pregnant, and could barely walk on her own.
" How could you even think like that? you're 7 months pregnant.. we're supposed to be closer than ever, Camila.. we're having our baby.. our little family.. the one we always dreamt of. You can't do this to me..", Lauren tried wrapping her arms around Camila, but she just shot back.. she couldn't stand Lauren anymore.
" Do what to you? all i've ever been to you is supportive, and given you my all.. You cheated on me, Lauren.. you didn't think i'd find out, did you? "
" I've explained to you what happened.. i've explained it over and over.. it only happened once.. she meant nothing to me.."
" She meant nothing to you did she? i found her fucking lipstick stains in your car at least two weeks ago... and i know its not mine, nor yours. i didn't say anything to you because believe me it took so much for me to stand here, and tell you i'm leaving.. i thought about it over and over.. if i was doing the right thing, and believe me.. i am doing the right thing.. For me, and my baby.."
" OUR baby.. she's my child too.."
" Yeah, she's your baby too.. i would never deny her from you. You will always be a part of her life, but not like this.. i don't want my child around all your different women and the lifestyle you like to live.."
" I told you i would change.." , Lauren's eyes began to form tears.. nothing hurt Camila more than knowing that the Lauren she once knew and had fallen insanely in love with was gone.
" you know what hurts the most, Lauren?... that you won't even deny the lipstick i found in your car... because you know it's nothing, but the truth. "
" Let me explain, Camila..."
" Let you explain what? how i waited for you to come home from work, and cooked a meal that took the whole day.. how i waited patiently with a smile because i finally got the turkey to cook just the way you like it.. how i waited regardless of how sick, and tired i felt.. while you rolled around in your car with a woman you swore you would never see again.."
" I don't want to talk about this...", Lauren couldn't even look at Camila in the eye.
" Then answer me one thing.. just one thing.. Do you love her? "
" No, i don't love her. I love you, only you. You're the woman that i love and cant live without." , Lauren pleaded, nearly shaking.
" You went back to her more than once, i'm sure of that... maybe it isn't love, but you have strong feelings for her.. I can tell.. i can tell from a mile away..."
" you're full of shit Camila! you don't know what i've been through, and i'll I've done to give you the life you have! "
" You're right.. maybe i don't know... but i do know this.. it's not the life i plan on living with you anymore. You deserve everything you've worked hard for because you're so talented, that i will never deny... But i wont be a burden for you any longer.. you don't have to work harder just to give me a good life.. all i wanted was you, Lauren.. you were all i wanted, all i needed... and yes it fucking hurts.. it hurts that you had to look for someone else to find pleasure when all along you had a wife at home.. at wife holding your baby..", Camila's eyes watered as she rubbed her belly again.
" I hate myself..", Lauren couldn't hold her tears any longer she placed her face into her hands, and couldn't contain her pain.. she hated the feeling, but she also knew she probably deserved it.
" Don't hate yourself, Lauren.. it's not worth it, honestly.. I have to get going now.", Camila held her luggage, which was placed next to the couch.
" You can't carry that, what are you thinking? you can barely walk, let alone walk with luggage.", Lauren wiped her tears, and grabbed Camila's luggage.
" You can help me carry it to my car.. well if you want."
" If i want? what i want is for my wife to stay here with me.. for you to run into my arms like before, i want yo raise our baby together, and be happy, just like we've always been... that's all i want."
" Lauren.. just stop, please.. i'm leaving, i made up my mind."
" This is barely enough for a week.. are you leaving everything else?", Lauren only hoped that it only meant Camila would eventually come back..
" No, Rudy will come help me take out all of my stuff later on throughout the week.. i just need some clothes for the next few days."
" who the fuck is Rudy?", Lauren instantly turned red and her eyes nearly black.
" He's a friend Lauren..", Camila snatched the luggage from Lauren's hand.
" This is such fucking bullshit.. you're just gonna come back tomorrow. I fucking know you, Camila.. you won't be able to sleep at night because whether you like it or not you're gonna miss my arms around you.."
" That's funny because i actually got used to sleeping without your love. So, don't worry.. i'll be fine.."
" It's such bullshit! ", Lauren screamed.
Camila immediately placed both her hands on her stomach, and closed her eyes.
" What.. what's wrong, Camila..? ", Lauren's tone of voice went from rough to soft in just seconds.
" She kicked my side.. she got scared when you yelled..", Camila kept her eyes closed.
Lauren went on her knees, and placed her face on Camila's stomach, " I'm sorry baby. i'm so sorry, i didn't mean to scare you my beautiful girl.. i love you, i love you so much.. mommy loves you, and will always be with you.", She cried, and Camila really didn't know if she should try to comfort Lauren, and just like she had said she would never deny her from being with their daughter.
" It's fine, Lauren, she's ok now..just don't yell anymore it really scares her.."
" I'm so sorry my baby girl..i'll never do that again. I love you.. so much.. just like i love your mommy.. i'll miss holding you at night, and feeling you kick.. i'll miss it so much..", Lauren whispered against her stomach as her arms wrapped around Camila.
She knew Lauren was sincere by the way she cried out.. she almost felt bad, and wanted to caress her hair so bad..but she contained herself..she had to at this point.
" I have to go now, Lauren.. my parents are waiting for me.. I'll be staying at their house for now.. until i find my own place to live."
" Can i come visit you, please.. i just want to see how the baby is.. i wont bother you.", Lauren stood to her feet as she wiped her eyes.
" I'm not sure of that.. i'll text you if anything."
" Please, can i at least call you every night to check on you, and the baby? "
" Lauren... your daughter will be okay."
" what you don't think i care about you too? you're holding my baby of course i fucking care if you're okay."
" Did i not ask you to tone it down? it scares her."
" I wasn't yelling, Camila.."
" Yeah, but she can sense the tone in your voice.."
" No she's kicking because she doesn't want to leave..this is her home.. she's trying to tell you something.."
" And what is that?"
" To not leave, and stay home with mommy and let her love you."
" Stop... it's over, Lauren. i'm leaving."
Camila grabbed her luggage and began to walk out of the apartment. She suddenly turned back to face a fallen Lauren, " By the way, i filed for divorce.. you should be getting a call from my lawyer soon."
Lauren stood there, with a black expression as if the wind had been knocked out of her..she had two choices, she either fought for the woman she loved, or let her go. She knew cheating on Camila was the worst thing she could have ever done.. there was no excuse for how pathetic she was. And although it only happened twice and both times she was under the influence.. there was no justification for cheating.. Lauren sat down, and leaned her head against the wall, wondering what she would do next.. her heart wanted to fight for Camila... but she couldn't deny she deserved getting dumped by her wife..
Lauren loved Camila..deeply, she loved her so much; she knew she couldn't live a life without her.. she was determined to fight if she had to.. Lauren knew her job had a lot to do with Camila having enough of her life... she was surrounded by celebrities every single day, being in the film industry had nearly corrupted her.. she needed to change her ways.. it was the only way to get her wife back... she just hoped it wasn't too late..
