SORRY NOT UPDATING IN THREE DAYS!! I WOULD'VE UPDATED SOONER BUT I GOT CAUGHT UP BECAUSE A FRIEND TRIED GOING DOWN THE STREET FROM TO ANOTHER FRIENDS HOUSE. BUT THEY ENDED UP GETTING LOST BUT REALIZED THEY WERE ON MY STREET. SO I WALKED THEM TO OUR FRIENDS HOUSE AND THEN I SPENT THE NIGHT! SO YEAH THAT WAS YESTERDAY!! My heart started racing. I was getting scared. I started to regret my decision to come here alone. I needed Jake. James sat down and stared at me blankly. He asks, " Are you Destiny Anderson?" I nod my head. " Did you get my letter?"
I say, " Yeah. I did."
He says, " Destiny I'm truly sorry. I am extremely sorry. It was a stupid mistake and I even did it twice! I guess I never did learn. The judge told me about you. I'm sorry about your family. What's your life like?"
I say, " It's hard. But there have been great things these past twelve years. I met my crush, I made two friends, I met my family after twelve years, I got the family house, and I've smiled. I haven't smiled since that day. I've always wondered what your life was like and how you could possibly get away."
He says, " I went almost thirteen years without drugs and alcohol. I've always had that guilt about that day. Even though I was drunk out of my mind, I still remember. I would call it the clearest memory I have. Seeing your face, not being able to stop. It haunts me everyday, it's my biggest regret."
I say, " We all have our regrets. I forgive you." He looks at me in shock.
He asks, " Why? I've done so many bad things to you and your family."
I say, " Everybody deserves forgiveness. So, I'm forgiving you for your wrong doing. I appreciate your letter. So now what are you going to do with your life?"
He says, " For starters, I'm going to enjoy my time in here. For the next twenty years. After that, I'll just go around helping people and showing them how to forgive one another. Like you just did to me. You're very special girl Destiny, you know that right?" I nod my head. " Who takes care of you?"
I say, " Well before my parents killed themselves, they sent me over to their friend's house and I've been living with them. It was around Christmas when I moved back to my house. It felt weird but I have great friends who watch over me. This summer will be crazy."
He says, " Yeah. Is one of your friends a boy?"
I say, " Um... yeah. Two of them are actually. None of my friends were there at the time. They recently found out a few months ago."
He asks, " Have you gone for help?"
I answer, " No, but I might in a few months. I'm not good at all when it comes to opening up. It'll be something new and huge for me to do. I know someone who might help me. She's a sister of one of my guardians."
James says, " Listen, Destiny, I don't want to waste your time. Thank you so much for stopping by."
I say, " Wait! I have a question for you. Why?"
He says, " I've been asking myself that for many years. You'll find out eventually. I think you will know when the time is right and you're at your strongest point. Enjoy your life, while it lasts! We all know life can be over in a matter of seconds. Take care Destiny. Goodbye!"
I whisper, " Bye!" I walk out of the building. I look at my phone and see five missed calls and ten texts. Jake. I hope he isn't too worried about me. As I started driving, a bunch of things popped in my head. I really needed to clear out my head. So I went on a little drive around town.
It was getting a little late, so I headed home. Jake called me as I was driving down the street. I dismissed the call because of my headache. I didn't want to hear my phone. I wonder what he thinks of me not answering.
I honk my horn and see Jake rush out of the house. I pull into the driveway and see a freaked-out Jake. He practically pulled off my door when I hit the unlock button and grabbed me into a hug. I hugged him back. He whispered, " I was so worried about you. Don't you dare ever leave for that long again."
I say, " I missed you too. I guess I have to explain myself." I didn't want to explain anything but I did promise my friends I would. We walk into the house and I tell them everything.
Ashley says, " I can't believe the guy who ran you over, was the same guy who killed your brother!! This is just insane!!"
Jack says, " Ashley calm down!! Destiny you know she is right. Right?" I nod my head. " Well what should we do now?" I roll my eyes. I don't know what to do. They can figure that out!
Well as I walked past the door, the doorbell rang. Ugh! I saw Jake rush through the door. As I put my hand on the door knob Jake said, " I'll handle this!"
I say, " This is my house not yours!"
He yells, " Go to your room now!" I reluctantly went to my room. I heard Jake. He was yelling, " Go away! You're not welcomed here! Leave or I'll call the cops!!"
The voice said, " Let me talk to Destiny for a little bit, then I leave." It was Blade. I rushed downstairs. " Destiny! Tell Jake to let me in! I need to talk with you!"
I say, " Blade we have nothing to talk about. Just go home."
He says, " I can't! They're here! You need to hide now! If they find you, they'll take you back!!"
I yell, " Back where? Utah or something?"
He says, " Yes!"
Jake yells at Blade, " She is not going anywhere!! Is this why you took her? For them?"
He says, " That's why I need to talk to Destiny. I don't care if you hear either, because I kind of want you to hear it!" Jake lets him in and we head to the living room to talk. " One of the reason why I took you to Utah was because of my boss. He gets me to grab pretty girls and he uses them for whatever he wants. I didn't want him to take you so I kept stalling and then you left. He sent someone to kill me but I ended up killing him. I ran away and I can't go back. I have word he is coming."
Jake says, " Well this is new! Why should we trust you?"
He says, " Because, if you want Destiny alive and not hurt, then you'll be smart enough to listen to me." His words caught me off guard. Alive? Not hurt? He's coming? How could this be happening to me!
So that's why Blade took me to Utah in the first place. Thankfully, he didn't turn me in sooner. I'll have to give him that. But seriously? All this was happening too fast. I say, " Excuse me." I wanted to get out of there. I could hear Jake and Blade call after me but I kept walking away. I decided to head to my room because outside, I would be so paranoid.
I heard knocks coming from my door and then Jake was calling me. I left it ringing. Then someone started banging on the door. I banged it back, somehow starting to get pissed off. I heard Jake voice plead, " Destiny please come out! We aren't done talking about this!" I didn't like hearing him so sad like that. Begging for me to come out. I didn't like that. So I walked out of my room.
I say, " Fine! Whatever. Lets just finish this conversation, then." Jake and Blade exchange glances then follow me downstairs to the living room. " What more needs to me said?"
Blade says, " I'm going to continue stalling with them, if I run into them. I won't let them take you back. I have to go, but I'll come by and check up on you." I hugged him goodbye and watched him head home.
Jake grabs my hands and says, " I won't let them take you again. I won't lose you and you won't lose me. We'll protect you. I promise." Jake really didn't want to lose me. I could see it in his eyes.
I say, " Okay." He still didn't persuade me. One way or another, this boss guy will find me. Only, when?
I was officially paranoid. I was freaking out inside and out. This was really happening all too fast! I headed back to my room and Ashley was begging me to let her sleep in my room. So I gave in, because I've had a long enough day as it is.
We all headed to bed and soon enough morning came.
I was happy to see that I was still in my room unharmed and that Ashley was with me. Deep down I'm terrified. If Jake sees that, he'll never give me space. I've been pretty much a loner most of my life, even if I have a few great friends around me, but I've always had space. So when I don't have space, it feels weird.
Someone knocks on the door. I say, " Come in boys!!" Jack and Jake walk in. This is going to be one heck of a summer! " What do you want?"
Jake says, " We came in to check on you. Is that okay?"
I say, " Yeah. You guys are fine. Ashley wake up!!!" I smack her arm and she still doesn't wake up.
Jack says, " Let the master handle this?" I roll my eyes at him, as he walks over to the side Ashley is on. He kisses her on the lips and she wakes up. I shake my head and turn my attention to Jake. His eyes hasn't left mine since he walked in here. Now he isn't a witness with me, over Ashley and Jack's morning make-out.
I turn my head towards the kissing couple to see, they're still kissing!! I say, " Don't do anything on my bed!! I will kill you, if you do!!" That made Jake laugh. Gosh, I loved his laugh.
Jake and I headed downstairs and he made my second favorite breakfast meal. Blueberry waffles with blueberry syrup, whip cream, blueberries, and strawberries. I grab the silverware from the table and begin eating. I say, " I was thinking we can just like, be outside today. Instead of being cooped up in this house. Maybe just go to the park, or the mall, or at least somewhere that isn't my house."
He nods his head. Why won't he talk to me? This was really bugging me. I can understand if I'm the one not talking, but Jake! Something is going on with this boy!!
I ask him, " Jake can I ask you an important question?" He nods his head. " Why in blazing neptune are you not talking to me!!"
He says, " I don't know! I really don't know. Maybe I just have nothing to say? Things have just been weird since last night, you know."
I say, " I understand. I think we should go get ready and then head out. I'll let the kissing couple know we're leaving in an hour and a half." I head upstairs to let the couple know when we will be leaving and told them to get out, so I could get ready.
They finally left.
We all got ready and soon enough, headed out. Jack asks, " So where are we going?"
I say, " Anywhere that sounds fun! Just name a place and we'll go there!"
We spend about five hours driving around until I stopped by the park. Jake asks, " The park? You have to be kidding me!"
I say, " Remember, I didn't come here a lot. The last time I came to a park was thirteen years ago. Give me some credit. No matter how old you are, you're never too old to relive a childhood memory. You'll learn that soon enough." We get out of the car and find a nice place in the grass to lay out a big blanket.
We take our seats and watch the birds fly and the squirrels run about. Jack says, " Ashley and I are going to walk around the park for an hour or so. See you in a bit." They get up and walk away.
Jake says, " I think I'm going to go get us something. Anything you want?"
I say, " No thanks. I'm good. Thank you, though." He walks away and I sit there awkwardly. I decided to just walk around a little.
I felt someone behind me and when I would turn around, no one was behind me. Then out of nowhere I was kidnapped. Someone was really kidnapping me!! I tried to struggle out of the person's grip, but it was too strong.
This was it. I was going to meet the guy who wanted me three years ago. I would never get to see Jake or Ashley or Jack ever again! I was pushed into a van, hands and feet were tied, and lastly a bag was covering my face. Exactly like the movies people. Spot on!
But I was smart. I stayed quiet and I didn't do anything stupid, like try to run away. We all know what that would get me into!! Death! Or even pain!
I bet you I'm heading to Utah.
I fell asleep. I don't know how, but I wasn't as scared as I thought I would be. Goodbye Jake! Hello death!
(JAKE'S P.O.V.)
I did my best to hurry back to Destiny because I knew she was a little scared. Heck I'm scared! I don't know what I would do if she really was kidnapped! When I came back to the blanket and our spot, Destiny wasn't there!!
I called Jack.
Me- Hey have you seen Destiny?
Jack- Before we left was the last time we saw her. Why?
Me- I can't find her. What should I do?
Jack- Call the freaking police!!!!! Your crush has just been kidnapped!!! I'll call the police, you call Blade! Hurry!!!!!

I call Blade next.
Me- Blade?
Blade- Hey there Jake! Why are you calling me?
Me- Destiny has been kidnapped!!
Blade- What!! How could you let her get kidnapped!!
Me- I don't know! We were in the park and-
Blade- And what? Wouldn't there be enough people that would've seen her get kidnapped.
Me- She probably got bored and walked off. You have to help me find her! Jack is calling the police as we speak. Please help me! I can't lose her!
Blade- I'm on my way!

How could this be happening? Why couldn't it be another car wreck? I may never see her again. How was I going to tell Ricky and Rachel this? How was I going to get her back?
All I know is we have to find her!
