Curled and stuffed under the sheets, the little boy was fearless. It would not penetrate. Could not penetrate. The gnarled claws raked at the top of the covers once more.
The boy hugged them tighter around his small body. Impermeable.
The talons punctured the cloth. Frightened eyes briefly gaped at the impossible before being impaled by the contorted, razor claws.
