"I'm heading out" I call as I carry Blaine out to the car.
"Shall we go look for some more baby gates and garden stuff?" I say to Blaine as I buckled him in.
"Eah" he cheers, although it might be boring just looking for garden stuff and gates, but Blaine seemed happy about it.
"Lets go" I say and head down the road. I go to the baby shop first to get the baby gates.
"These look complicated enough, so you mister don't know how to open it or break it, but we do" I say as dad was watching him the other morning upstairs, doing god knows what quietly, to not wake me up and I had found Blaine next to me on my bed with a broken gate at the doorway where he had opened it, tried to close it, but kept pushing so it broke off.
"Noooo" he whined.
"Yes, you little bugger" I tell him. I get a few more and head to pay, before going back in the car and giving Blaine my phone to play with.
"Right now for the long, boring road" I sighed. We head down the road and there was nobody else, but a baby deer came out of no where and I swerved badly and the car kept spinning and spinning until it came to a horrible stop. The last thing I thought was 'I just hope Blaine is ok' before I passed out.
No ones pov:
"Daddy, 'ake up" Blaine whined as he thought his daddy was asleep. Blaine didn't understand what was going on, he just thought his daddy had stopped and was sleeping. Kurt taught Blaine had to call a family member incase there is an emergency or something so Blaine called grandpa.
"Gwandpa" Blaine cheered happily.
"Hey buddy, are you calling me without daddy's permission?" he joked and would of expected Kurt to reply, but he didn't.
"No, daddy sweeping an 'e wan ou'" he whined.
"Blaine, daddy's sleeping behind the wheel?" he asked again, hoping Blaine was joking.
"Eah"
"Ok, Blaine?, buddy, I need you to listen carefully ok?" Burt asked, hoping that Blaine might understand a little bit of this.
"Tay" he says.
"Is daddy's head on the wheel?"
"Eah an bwood ever'ere" he says.
"Ok, do you know you what's around you?"
"Umm 'ird" Blaine exclaimed happily.
"Gwanpa ird" he says.
"Ok buddy" Burt chuckled, although this is a 'serious' conversation, Blaine doesn't exactly know what's going on and with Blaine's silliness, you gotta laugh a little bit, because he can cheer anyone up.
"Ok, let's try this again, where were you heading? were you heading to get the gates or garden stuff?" he asked, knowing both roads well.
"Tuff" he says and that's good enough to get to where he needs to go.
"Me and grandma are now on our way ok?" he says.
"Tay, I twy daddy 'ake" he says.
"Ok, you try and wake daddy buddy" he says.
"Bye-bye" Blaine says.
"Bye kiddo" and they both hang up.
Blaine sat in the car for nearly an hour with a very wet nappy, thirsty, hungry, tired and wanting to get out.
"Daddy, 'e an ou" he sobbed as he rubbed his eyes.
"Ired" he sobbed.
"AAAAHHHH" he sobbed again and thrashed in his seat.
"Buddy, we're here now, we're here" Blaine hears grandpas voice as he got him out of his seat.
"Gwanpa, ired" he sobbed.
"I know, I know" he soothes as the ambulance turns up.
"Gwanpa, why ambwance?" he sniffled.
"Um, kiddo daddy is really really hurt so he has to go to the hospital ok?" he tried to say in a way that Blaine would understand. He then started to cry again, now knowing he's daddy wasn't sleeping, he's injured.
"Can we just check him over?" a paramedic asked as she walked over.
"Sure" Burt says.
"Ok, he's fine just a few scratches and bruises, but other than that he's fine, um, the one driving, are you his father? and do you know how this happened?" she asked.
"He is my son and no, I do not know what happened, sorry"
"It's fine"
"Hey, little guy, do you know what happened in the car accident?" she asked Blaine.
"Daddy twy an iss a a'mal an 'e 'pin an 'pin wound" Blaine sobbed as he still was in his granddads arms.
"Thank you so much sweetie" she says and walks off.
"Lets get you changed, fed and a sleep huh?" Carole said as she walked over and took Blaine out of Burt's arms.
"No daddy" Blaine sobbed and tried to reach out for him when he was 'sleeping' on a bed and was put into the back of the ambulance.
"Aww, it's alright Blaine, come on, we'll go see him at the hospital ok?"
"Noooo" he sobbed as he rubbed his eyes again.
"Tired" Burt said to Carole.
"Ill change his nappy, you get his snacks ready and then he can drink his milk and have a sleep" Carole explains as she lies Blaine on the back seats and changes his nappy. She then puts him in his car seat and Burt gives him his snack while Carole sat in the back with him. Blaine then finally fell asleep and Burt and Carole sighed.
"Poor Blaine" Carole said sympathetically as she looked at Blaine, who was sleeping peacefully.
"I know honey, this kids been through a lot" he sighed.
"Daddy" Blaine mumbled in his sleep.
"Shhh, shhh" Carole soothed as she pats and rubbed his chest gently.
"Hey did you pack a few toys for him if we're gonna be there awhile" Burt says from the front.
"Yeah don't worry" Carole chuckled.
"And the iPad?"
"Yes" they finally get there and Blaine was awake by then.
"'E 'ee daddy?" Blaine asked as he held hands with Carole and Burt push the pushchair.
"Yeah, but we might have to wait a little bit ok?"
"Nooo" he whined.
"Come on sweetie, we got you some toys to play with" Carole suggested as they sat down and waited.
"Yay" they soon ended up waiting and waiting and waiting and Blaine started to get bored so he decided to run around the place.
"Blaine come sit down please?" Burt asked, but Blaine ignored him and carried on running around.
"You know for someone who's just been in a car accident, he sure is stubborn and energetic" Burt sighed as he told Carole.
"Blaine! if you don't sit down now, we will tell daddy how naughty you're being" Carole explained, but Blaine ignored her as well.
"Kurt Hummel?" a doctor came out and as soon as Blaine was about to pass Burt and Carole again, Burt put his arm out and caught Blaine at the waist and picked him up.
"Nooo, I wan daddy" Blaine screeched as he tried to escape Burt's arm and started to kick his legs about and hit his grandpas arm.
"We're now going to see daddy sweetie" Carole said as she rubbed his arm after she took one hand off the pushchair.
"But we have to be quiet ok?" she said. The doctors had already explained to them both about Kurt and how he wasn't in too much of a critical condition, which was good.
"He's still asleep" the doctor warned us before we went in.
"Daddy! daddy! daddy!" Blaine cheered and ran to Kurt's bed once he was put down.
"Ake up, ake up" Blaine kept hitting his hand against Kurt's leg.
"Oh, no no no, don't do that, we must leave him to sleep" Carole said as she pulled his hand back to stop him from doing it again.
"Noooo" he whined.
"Hmm" Kurt stirred.
"See?" Carole sighed.
"Did he wake you up?" Kurt woke up and then remembered why he was here...Blaine!
"Where's Blaine? how is he?" Kurt then tried to sit up as he worried about Blaine.
"Kurt, don't do that, he's fine, he's here" Burt reassures his son as he helps him lie back down again.
"How are you anyway?" Burt asked.
"A little sore, just hope Blaine's ok" he said as he winced a little.
"He's fine, he was running around the place, considering he had not long been in a car accident" Burt told him.
"Oh Blaine, you're a silly boy" Kurt chuckled as he looked down at Blaine, who just giggled shyly.
"Did he wake you up by any chance?" Carole asked.
"Oh no, I heard your voices and I was about to wake up anyway" he explains.
"Daddy, ake!" Blaine cheered.
"Yeah baby, how did you guys manage to get me here?" Kurt asked confused.
"Blaine had the phone in his hand and called me" Burt explained.
"Aww, baby you are my little hero" I say as I tap him on the nose and kiss his cheek.
"Up" he whined as he wanted to sit in the bed.
"Hang on" Kurt says and tries to lean forward to pick him up.
"Here" Burt said and sat him on the bed.
"Daddy" Blaine smiled and hugged Kurt a bit too tight.
"Ow" Kurt winced.
"Daddy ave owie?" Blaine asked with innocence.
"Daddy has lots of owies sweetie, so we have to be careful ok?" Kurt explains to him.
"Tay"
"Daddy, hungy" Blaine whined.
"Did he have anything to eat? he hasn't ate since his snack after breakfast and that was like, I dunno, hours ago?" Kurt panicked slightly.
"Don't worry, he had a change, been fed and had his milk while sleeping" Burt reassured.
"Good, do you think you could get him some dinner?" Kurt asked.
"Sure, do you need any medication?"
"Um no thanks" he says and Burt leaves the room to go get them all dinner.
"Hungy" Blaine started to whine/cry.
"Alright sweetie, grandpas getting you some" Kurt reassured him.
"Noooo" he whined.
"Alright baby"
"Here, Carole where's his dummy?" Kurt asked Carole.
"Here you go sweetie" Carole said and put it in Blaine's mouth.
"Thanks" Blaine then snuggled up to Kurt and watched some kid programme on his iPad.
"Blaine was such a brave boy when he sat in that car" Carole said.
"Really?" Kurt asked shocked.
"Yeah, he just sat there and called us, but by the time we got there he was crying, which I don't blame him for as he was in the car for nearly an hour" she explained.
"Yeah, were you a brave boy?" Kurt said as he then looked at Blaine after he looked at Carole.
"Eah" he says not interested and too busy with the iPad. 20 minutes later, Burt finally came back with some food that was way better than hospital food.
"Yay" Blaine cheered.
"You have to be very careful ok, you don't have your high chair, so- Kurt was then cut off by Burt.
"Why don't you just put him in his pushchair, where there is a tray?" Burt suggested.
"Oh yeah, go with grandpa baby" Kurt said as he tried to lift Blaine off the bed, but couldn't as he struggled.
"Here" Burt said and picked up Blaine easily and placed him in the chair without strapping him up.
"Nooo, 'e 'an 'it 'ext 'oo daddy" he whined, so Burt got the pushchair and put him next to Kurt's bed.
"They you go" Burt smiled as he then sat down and ate his food.
"I daddy" Blaine smiled up at him.
"Hi sweetie" he chuckled back.
"Eat up ok?" he says.
"Tay" he replies and they all eat their dinner. Blaine played for a bit, before he started to get tired and visiting hours were over anyway, but Blaine was crying and refusing for his daddy.
"Nooo, 'e 'an daddy" he screamed/sobbed as he made grabby hands for Kurt.
"Please can you let them stay until he goes to sleep as he is used to me putting him to bed" Kurt begged the nurse.
"Fine" she sighed, but smiling.
"Thank you so so so much" he thanked.
"Ill just tell them not to come in here ok?" she says.
"Ok, thanks again" he said as she left the room. Burt laid Blaine next to Kurt while he drank his milk and was going to sleep.
"Do you know what to do if he wakes up during the night?" Kurt whispered.
"Umm, no" Burt said.
"Ok, well he usually wakes up about 3 times, so 1st time) you give him his dummy if he hasn't got it and just rock him gently while patting his bum, for this you're gonna have to move around the room, 2nd time) you give him a bottle and nappy change and the 3rd time) you have to put him in your bed, if not just get in mine" he explained.
"Ok, shall we take him now sweetie?" Carole asked.
"Yeah, although I don't want him to go" Kurt said sadly.
"Hey, it's ok buddy, if you come home tomorrow you can surprise Blaine after his nap" Burt whispered.
"True, night baby" Kurt kissed his forehead gently, before letting Carole and Burt take him.
"Bye sweetie"
"Bye kiddo"
"See ya" Kurt replies sadly.
"Daddy" Blaine mumbled and they all just froze until he went back to sleep. They finally get home and put Blaine into bed, before going themselves.
