I skipped ahead a couple months, so Liam and Niall are now 20.

Shay's POV:
Everything is still awkward between Niall and I.
Flashback
"Niall....you told me you loved me."
"What? I did?"
"Yeah. Then you passed out."
"Oh."
"Did you mean that?"
"I was drunk."
"But people usually spill the truth when they're drunk."
"So what if I do love you?"
"I'd ask a lot of questions."
"Like?"
"How long? Why didn't you tell me sooner? Why?"
"10th grade, afraid you didn't love me back, and you're my best friend. Beautiful, funny, caring, smart, and spectacular."
"But magazines say you like girlie-girls and I'm definitely not a girlie-girl."
"They pushed the question on me and I wasn't going to describe you so I said something quick."
"Oh."
"I'm a dumbass."
"Don't say that." I put my hand on his shoulder.
He pushed it off, "I'm gonna go to my room."
He got up and started to walk away, "Why?"
"Because everything is awkward now." He said, not even turning around. He went to his room and closed the door. I heard crying and went up to his door. I was about to knock but stopped myself.
Everything is awkward now.

Harry was upset with Niall when I told him but he didn't do anything. He understood.
Flashback
"Harry?"
"Yeah babe?"
"Niall told me he loved me."
"What?"
"Yeah." His face squished up. "Please don't do anything."
"I won't. I understand why he does."
"Why?"
"Look at you. You're one of the best people on earth."
"Aww. Thanks babe."

Niall's POV:
I was in my room writing a song. There was a knock at the door so I quickly put my guitar back on its stand and shoved the papers under my pillow.
"Come in."
Shay walked in and shut the door.
"I think we need to talk."
"We haven't been doing a lot of that lately."
"I know" She sat at the end of my bed, "and I'm sorry about that."
"I'm sorry too."
"It's just that we're best friends and I'm dating someone."
"I know I know. Harry always gets the pretty girls." I said under my breath.
"I still heard that."
"You were meant to."
"Can we just forget all of this and go back to being best friends?"
"I'll still love you."
"I'm fine with that."
She jumped into my arms and gave me a Shay hug.
"I've missed those hugs." I said hugging her back.
"And I've missed yours."
Shay's POV:
I'm happy Niall and I made up. It'll be back to normal, sort of.
I wanted to go do something in California. This place seems great in all the movies. I decided to go to the huge outdoor mall down the street so I took a shower, straightened my hair, and got dressed. I put on my 'I

My legs were getting tired from walking around. I had only found a couple things and I've been out for three hours.
I was about to walk into Hollister when I saw a couple making out.
"Get a-Harry?!"
The curly haired guy stopped and looked at me. It was definitely Harry. I looked at the girl and was disgusted.
"Really?!"
"Harry who's this?" She asked giving me a dirty look.
I gave her one right back, "His girlfriend."
"I'm Harry's girlfriend."
"Excuse me?!"
"Yeah! So back off, bitch!"
"Oh hell no! Go fuck yourself, Taylor!"
"I think Harry's got that taken care of." She said smirking at me, "We took a break so you can leave now."
I turned to Harry, "I never want to see you again."
"That will be kind of hard since we're like the biggest boy band on earth."
"We're through."
I turned and walked away with the little dignity I had left and went back to the hotel. I started packing when Liam walked in.
"What are you doing?"
"Leaving."
"Why?"
I threw my shirt in my suitcase and looked up at Liam. I saw the worried look on his face and my face loosened.
"Harry cheated on me."
I felt the tears approaching.
"With who?!"
"Taylor."
"Swift?"
"Nah. Lautner." I said with a sarcastic tone going back to packing.
"Just making sure. You don't have to leave."
"I can't be here, Liam."
"You can room with us."
I finished and looked up at him again, "It's for the best."
I saw the tears well up in his eyes, which made me lose it. He grabbed me and hugged me tight around the shoulders. I hugged back tighter and cried even harder.
"Why are you crying?" Louis asked innocently from the doorway.
Liam and I separated but were still crying.
"Harry cheated on Shay with Taylor."
"Oh my god you poor thing!" He said running up to me and swinging me around in a big hug.
"What happened?" Zayn asked already in the room and Niall closing the door.
"Harry's a jerk." Louis said still hugging me.
"What did he do?!" Niall said getting angry.
"He cheated and I'm leaving." I barely said.
"I'm going to kill him!"
"Niall, don't!" I said grabbing his arm.
"I just want my friends and a hug."
We all hugged with me in the middle and cried.
Harry's POV:
"Well that worked out great."
"What did you do?!"
"What, I made Shay break up with you so I could have you all to myself." She said going in for a kiss.
I turned away and ran to the hotel. I swung open the door and Shay wasn't there or her stuff. I went to the guys' room and they were gone too. I knew where they went and I had to stop them.
Niall's POV:
"Please don't leave us." I cried to Shay.
"I can't be around Harry. I'll still talk to you guys though."
"You better!" Louis said tears streaming down his face.
"I will."
"Flight 146 to London, England is now boarding."
"Goodbye guys."
She pulled us into a hug and gave us each a kiss on the cheek. She made my kiss a little longer. Then I burst into tears and hugged her really tight.
"I'll miss you." She said.
"I love you so much." I whispered.
"So you finally told her, Nialler? Good for you." Zayn said patting me on the back.
"See you soon." She said blowing us a kiss and walking into the tunnel.

We waited until the plane took off and I tried to calm myself down.
"Where is she?!" I heard someone shout from behind us.
We turned and saw Harry sprinting to us. He stopped, out of breath.
"She left...because of you!"
I lunged at him but Zayn and Liam held me back.
"Nice going, Harry." Louis said still crying then starting to walk away. He motioned for us to walk with him and we did. We left Harry behind and didn't even look back. He is the cause for all of this.
