I got 7 votes and 16 comments this time, so that's getting better I think. Here's the next chapter that I just finished.

Part 66

Alec’s POV

Well at least now I had a better idea of what she was thinking. It was true, if you looked at it from her point of view that she hadn’t had a lot of things that were given to Andrew and Suzy and not to her. It was like she had been ignored most of her life, which I bet she had.

Jessie and Jason had come back in, after hearing everything; they had been eavesdropping, apparently. They looked extremely guilty, as they should have been. No one was ever there for her, not even me. She had no one she could rely on 100% of the time, all the time. That’s why she had always felt alone and neglected. Everyone looked sad and guilty, as if they were the cause of it, and they were. All of us were, Alex was feeling this way because of us, she was left to deal with everything alone; none of us had really been there for her.

“Who’s going to go find her?” Jessie spoke up.

“I’m the only one that can. I know where she probably is anyway. Just leave her alone for a while, though. She probably doesn’t want to see any of our faces right now.” I told them.

“What if she’s in trouble, or hurt, you’ve got to go find her.” Jason stated.

“If she was she’d instantly contact me. She wouldn’t let pride or stubbornness get in the way of her safety, she knows how important she is to the world, that’s why she hasn’t killed herself just yet.” I told them.

“How do you know so much about her? Even we don’t know this much.” Bells asked.

“I'm the only one that actually takes time to observe her. I actually watch her every move and action to see what she’ll do next or what she’ll do in a certain situation. I might not be able to predict what she’ll do but I can at least take the time to watch. She’s level headed, even when she’s angry or sad, she still keeps a cool head. If she can’t keep her cool then she’ll run, just like she did now, so she won’t do anything to hurt you guys or put you in danger. She knows she can get out of control so before that happens she leaves so as not to disappoint you guys and show her weak side. I’m the only one that’s ever seen her weak side, and that’s only because she lets me, or I wouldn’t be able to see it either.” I told them.

“How come she won’t let anyone of us see her weak side?” Olive asked, quietly.

“She has been watching and waiting, testing each and every one of you. At one point or another, she might have shown you a little of her weak side, but then you went and betrayed her, so she’s completely stopped showing it to you. It’s not like she hates or anything, she loves everyone in this room, even Jessie and Jason, but you guys have hurt her to the point where she can’t take it anymore, so she pushes you away, so she can’t get hurt anymore. It’s only hurting her even more, especially when you guys try to earn her trust again, because she has to push you away even further.” I explained.

“What have we done to betray her?” Brendan asked.

“Brendan and Oscar, you guys have done nothing. She just hasn’t had the time to get close to you yet. Olive, Bells, Josh, you guys acted more as her protectors then her cousins, when she needed her cousins, she was given her protectors. Josh, she let you see her soft side a little, didn’t she, but you didn’t tell her you were her cousins, you told her everything but that, when she thought she knew everything about you, you were probably her closest, but not telling her that one thing, threw her off, and that made her lose her trust in you.”

“Andrew, you watched over her, and I’m sure she was very happy about the necklace, but you never once came up to her, and told her you were brother, you probably didn’t even need to tell her you were brother, you could have just come up to her, pretended to be a random stranger, that would have been enough for her.”

“Jessie and Jason, you know what you’ve done, but I’m going to say it out loud. You abandoned her, you gave both Suzy and Andrew, real proof you were their parents, while you only gave Alex a picture of you, thinking you were her grandparents, and a one day visit on her birthday acting as random strangers, that wasn’t enough. You also told Andrew and Suzy they had powers, where Alex needed to know, since she was to use them to save the world. You also told Andrew and Suzy they had siblings, where Alex was left alone, all by herself, not knowing, who, or what she was.” I told them, disgusted with them.

“Is that it? Now that you know your mistakes, will you fix them?” I asked.

“No, you won’t. Even if you wanted to you, you can’t. Alex doesn’t give second chances; your first was your last. You all wasted it like it was nothing. Now you’re all going to sit there and regret it.” I answered for them.

(Alec, can you come here?) I heard Alex ask me in her head.

(Yeah, I’m coming) I thought back.

(You know where I am, right?) She asked.

(Of course, I’ll be right there, baby girl.) I thought right back.

“I’m going to go get her. When I come back, I want all of you out of here; go to your dorms. She’s going to get some sleep, and we’ll see you tomorrow.” I ordered all of them.

“I think we’ll just leave.” Jason said.

“No. You are to go to your dorms, as well. I will see you tomorrow and we’ll talk about it then.” I commanded him, daring him to defy me.

He and Jessie left along with everyone else. I quickly teleported to the willow tree Alex seemed to love so much. Before I knew it, I was already there. Alex was on her back, looking up at the sky, which was invisible due to the leaves and branches in her way. I quietly approached her, and put my hand over her eyes. She stiffened before calming down.

“Guess who?” I asked, kissing her cheek.

“Alec.” Her voice broke a little.

I felt liquid coming out of her eyes, and pouring down her cheeks. I instantly removed my hands from her eyes. She looked up at me, the tears still pouring down. I was instantly concerned for her.

“What’s wrong, baby girl?” I asked, as she sat up and faced me.

“I want to forget about everything. I want to go back to the healer’s house.” She confessed.

“Why?” I asked, not getting it.

“We didn’t have to worry about anything there. Sure I might have been dying there, but I was happy there, it felt like home, where I didn’t have to worry about anything and I could train without anything going wrong. I didn’t have to yell or shout in anger, but in happiness and excitement. There I didn’t want to leave, where I felt safe.” She told me.

“When is all this going to stop? When am I going to be happy? When will the world stop going after me? When can everyone be safe? When can I stop causing everyone to get hurt or die? When?” She cried out.

“After your 18th birthday.” Was my only answer.

It caused her to scoff, as if she didn’t believe me. At least I had gotten her to stop crying.

“Oh sure after my 18th birthday, I’ll be immortal but then there’s that evil and good thing that I’ve got to decide about.” She countered.

“Yeah, but even if you turn evil, which I know you won’t, I’ve got a secret plan to get you back to being good.” I told her, confidently.

It had just occurred to me how I could do this. I wasn’t sure if it would work but I would give it my best.

“Yeah, right.” She scoffed yet again.

“No, seriously, I have one. I’m not just going to let you turn evil and not do anything about it. I won’t lose you, like I said.” I told her, determined.

“What is it?” She asked, curious.

I kissed her lips, none too lightly. I grabbed her, and pulled her into my lap. She instantly wrapped her arms around my neck, kissing me back. Her hands trailed up to my hair as mine went down to her waist, gripping it tightly. We locked lips for a while, until we both couldn’t really breathe.

“If I told you then it wouldn’t be a secret and it wouldn’t work on you, either.” I told her, breathlessly.

She smiled at me and got off of my lap. I got up after her, and took her hand in mine.

“I love you.” I whispered to her.

“As I love you.” She said, pecking my lips one more time.

“Of course you do. I’m just that lovable.” I gloated.

She rolled her eyes, yet pecked my lips again.

“Come on. Let’s go.” I said, teleporting us to my room.

“Whoa! Warn me first!” Alex said, slightly dizzy.

“Sorry.” I said, pecking her forehead.

“What should we do today?” I asked her.

“It’s 2pm now. There’s not much we can do.” She observed.

We just lounged around all day until it was time for dinner. Mom had made it today, and called us when it was done.

“Alex, I miss your cooking.” Pam whined.

“What about my cooking?” Mom asked, hurt.

“Oh you know I love your cooking mom, but I haven’t seen Alex in a week.” Pam said.

“Fair enough.” Mom agreed, though she was still hurt.

“I love your cooking, Emily.” Alex said, hugging my mom.

“Aw, thanks Alex.” She said, happily hugging her back.

We ate dinner in relative silence, with some chatter here and there.

“So? How was it?” Pam asked.

“How was what?” I asked.

“Your alone time with Alex, of course!” Pam elaborated.

(Sorry, guys. We had to tell the pack something about your disappearance. This was the only thing we could think of.) Mom thought to both me and Alex.

Alex blushed, furiously, and didn’t comment. I thought I’d play it up a bit, teasing her.

“It was great! Definitely some needed alone time with her. We had so much fun!” I said, emphasizing fun.

Alex blushed like crazy and kicked me under the table, at my shins.

“Ow!” I yelled, even though it didn’t hurt me.

I got strange looks from everyone at the table other than Alex, who gave a “shut up!” look.

“Where did you go exactly?” She continued to question.

“The Bahamas” Alex and I answered together.

We looked at each other, it sounded planned even though it wasn’t. I shrugged it off, smiling at her.

“Like a honeymoon type of thing?” Pam continued to inquire.

“You could say that.” I answered, vaguely.

“So what did you all do while we were gone?” Alex interrupted, to change the subject.

“Oh nothing really, as far as I know. Everything’s been pretty calm.” Pam said, carefree.

(About that, we need to talk, after dinner, please.) Dad sent a thought to Alex and me.

(What is it, Joe?) Alex asked, feeling the worry come off of him.

(I’ll tell you after dinner. It’s sort of urgent.) He replied.

After we finished dinner, Pam went to go hang with some of her friends, leaving mom, dad, Alex and I to talk.

“What is it?” I asked, as soon as she was out the door.

“Alpha Williams called again. He wanted to meet you tonight, with Alex. At the warehouse, you found her at.” Dad informed.

“What time?” I growled out.

“Midnight.” Mom answered.

It was only about 10:30pm right now.

“Let’s go.” Alex said, determined.

“No, you’re not coming.” I told her.

“Alpha Williams said to bring me.” Alex argued.

“I don’t care what he says. You’re not going.” I said, firmly.

“Watch me.” Alex said, definitely.

“Alec, let her go. This is involves her anyway.” Dad said.

“He could hurt her again! I’m not risking that.” I stated.

“Son, let her go. She needs to go.” Mom insisted as well.

“Please, Alec. This is my problem too. This is as much my problem as yours, if not more.” Alex pleaded.

I sighed, and gave in. I must be turning all soft and mushy if they can all persuade me like that in such a little time. What happened to the stubborn Alec I knew? He fell in love, I answered my own question.

“We’re going to bring some reinforcements with us.” I said.

We went to get Brendan and Oscar, who already knew the situation. Alex called up Stephanie and John to come help. She didn’t resent them anymore; her hate had traveled to her parents now. We had to inform them only a little about the situation, as they had came with us the last time we did this.

It’s only about 11 now, so we went to inform some people where we were going. We told Olive, Bells, Josh, Andrew, Jack, John, Jacob, Jessie and Jason. Jessie and Jason where the only clueless ones so we informed them. Right now, we were back at my living like we had been only hours ago.

“I thought Alex was cured.” Jessie asked.

“Well, not exactly.” I answered.

“WHAT?!” the entire room asked.

That was, mom, dad, Jessie, Jason, Stephanie and John, Andrew, Bells, Olive, Josh, Brendan, and Oscar, which was really loud.

“Well, since the poison was given to her somewhere around night time, and the poison will kill her in exactly a week, we won’t know if it’s worked until that time. Since Alex doesn’t exactly know when she was poisoned we won’t know until tomorrow for sure.” Jack explained.

“We were planning on Alex being entirely cured for this!!” Dad explained.

“Why?” I asked.

“If Alpha Williams has even the tiniest suspicion that Alex isn’t healed yet, he’ll take total advantage of that.” John (Alex’s fake dad) explained.

“Well he doesn’t have to know that. Alex looks perfectly fine and healthy, he won’t suspect a thing.” I said.

“Actually she might faint or go into comatose to let us know that the poison has either gone out of her system or it’s not working.” John (the healer’s son) said.

“Why didn’t you tell us this?!” I yelled/asked.

“We didn’t think that she would be in this kind of situation!” Jacob defended.

“We’ll cross that bridge when it’s comes guys! This isn’t the time to be thinking of something like this!” Alex interrupted.

“It is the time! What if you go into a coma and die?!” I yelled, standing up.

“We’ve got medication for that.” Jack interjected.

“But we need to administer it to her before she goes into a coma or faints, so if you feel dizzy or lightheaded, tell us ok?” John (healer’s son) asked.

“I can do that, no problem.” Alex agreed.

“Alright, how about we just try this? We’ll take it one step at a time.” I said.

Everyone agree and by now it was almost 12, so left everyone and just took, Brendan, Oscar, Stephanie, John, and Jack (he had to administer the medicine).

We reached the warehouse in no time, and it was now 11:55pm. We entered the warehouse, quietly. Waiting for what would come next.
