# Chapter 9: I wish #
Two days later.
I lay on Claudia's bed listening to music. "I wish it was me. I wish we never came here. I wish he didn't die. I wish..... I wish..... I wish." I mumble. "Wishing isn't going to get us anywhere, Belle." Cody says appearing in front of me. "I know, but still....." My voice trails off. "I know, Belle, but it won't." He says offering me his hand. I take it and get up. "Now stop being sad, get dressed, and meet me downstairs in ten minutes." He leaves before I could say a thing. I get up and change into a pink dress, leggins, zip up my boots, grab one of the Chinese daggers and slip it into my boot, and head downstairs. "That's my girl." Cody laughs. "Alright I'm here, what do you want?" I ask. "The bullet was out of a forty-four." He says. "Huh?" I was completely confused. "The bullet." He says. I get it now, the bullet that hit Ethan. I nod. "It also had finger prints and I can track who did it." He finishes. "But how?" I ask. "There was another scent on it." He says. "Besides blood?" I laugh. "Yes, besides blood." He ruffles my hair. "Hey!" I touch my hair. "So are we gonna do it or not?" He asks. "Oh we're going to do it." I smirk. "Good then let's go while my parents and Aunt Alli aren't here." Claudia says stepping into the kitchen. "You sure you wanna go?" I ask. "Positive." Claudia smiles. "I'll leave the note!" Cody yells as he laves the room. No longer I wish, but now I hope. "You with me upstairs now." I say pointing at Claudia.
