"Right. Cheers to that."
Luke's P.O.V
"Alright let me go grab the mixers from inside then." Ellie stood up from her seat.
We all decided we were going to crash at Ellie's for the night. Since no one was driving, we could really drink it up. It was such a nice night out with the fire, we had a good conversation going & I didn't want to leave. I loved this side of Ellie so why not stay.
"I can help you." I stood up as well & Ellie gave me a little smile before I followed her inside. The door led us right into the kitchen.
"Thanks for helping. I probably couldn't have carried this all on my own actually." Ellie opened her refrigerator which had a few bottles of coke, tonic water & lemonade inside. "Trevor & I didn't know what people drank so we just got a few things."
"It's totally good. This should be fine."
"Uhm okay. Let me get the glasses. Do you think we're doing shots or?"
"I don't know." I smiled at her. "You tell me. Are we?"
"Yea." She nodded as she turned towards a cabinet. "We are."
I hated taking shots but if she wanted to, I would tonight. She then reached up for some plastic shot glasses & I tried to get a view of her tattoo from her shirt rising but it wasn't enough for me to see anything. She also grabbed some plastic cups.
"I'll carry these if you have those?" I lifted two of the bottles while Ellie carried the cups & the lemonade back outside. "Ellie wants us to take shots." I announced as I set everything down on the table.
"Then let her pour them." Trevor gave her the bottle of vodka. "Is everyone in?"
There were a bunch of mumbles while Ellie poured eight shots & then she lined them up.
A few people poured some mixer into the cup to chase with their shot but I still had some beer left so I used that & I saw Ellie was using hers as well.
"Great minds think alike, huh?" She held her beer bottle up to mine.
"Okay Ellie bellie, count us down." Michael announced.
"What?" Ted was laughing hysterically. "What sort of name is that?"
"I don't fucking know." She shook her head. "But whatever. Three, two, one!"
We all downed the shot & some reactions were more painful than others but I think it went down just fine for Ellie who was smiling after as if she just drank water, not a burning liquid.
"Remember Ellie's first shot?" Ray asked the other band mates.
"I'll never forget it." Ted answered.
"Wait." Ashton complained. "I want to hear this."
"No you don't." Ellie put her finger up. "I was stupid, never mind."
"Nope. I want to hear." I stuck my tongue out at her.
"You tell them or I will." Ted then told her. "So what'll it be?"
"Oh my god, all I did was throw it up. No biggie."
"Oh, it was a biggie." Ted then turned to me to tell the story. "It was a half shot of vodka & she had coke to chase it with but she like downed the shot & instantly ran towards the sink. We all thought she was just spitting the liquid but she was throwing up her entire dinner & it was nasty. She didn't drink with us for like two months after that."
"But now I'm fine so let's forget it!" Ellie was pushing us all back towards the fire. We all had made some type of mixed drink now so there was no need to stand up near the alcohol.
I followed Ellie & I sat back down next to her.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, Luke. What?"
"Why are you so quiet at school when I can tell that your real personality is the one here tonight. I mean you're super funny & silly. Why don't you show this at school?"
"It's complicated."
"I can try to keep up."
"Nah. It doesn't matter anymore. Like I said, there are only a few months left so it doesn't even matter who I am at school."
"Sure it does! You could have a good last few months."
"I don't go to school with people that are worth my time though."
"Uhm, excuse me!" I joked.
"Well besides you guys. But seriously, if I just randomly started talking to people now they'd be like what the fuck. So I don't. It's totally fine. I'm fine."
"Are you though?"
"Yea. I have these guys & that's good enough for me."
"& now us too, right?"
"Right. Cheers to that." Ellie hit her cup against mine & then we drank whatever was left of our drinks. "Do you want another?"
"I can get it." I told her but she already had taken my cup & started making her way over to the table with the drinks.
"She's great." Calum turned to me. "You two seem to be hitting it off."
"She's cool to talk to. Still sad she has no friends."
"But like you said, she has us now."
"Right."
& then Ellie came back.
"Here you go." I took the cup from her before taking a sip.
"Agh. That's so strong."
"It's my speciality." She giggled as she sat down. She literally giggled & it was the cutest thing ever.
"Oh mate." Ted rolled his eyes. "Never drink her mixes. She does like 50/50. They taste horrible."
"So? It gets you drunk sooner with less liquid." Ellie explained to us. "It's smart & you'll pee less."
"Well I can deal." I told her. "So thanks, Ellie."
"Anytime."
After having another drink or two, I literally only needed one because of how strong Ellie made mine, the fire had died down. None of us were that drunk, just buzzed. We casually drank tonight while sharing stories rather than drinking until we were drunk & stupid.
"Is everyone staying?" Ellie jumped up from her seat as she asked us all.
"Duh." Trevor answered. "I'm not in the state to drive home."
"Me either." I admitted. "Thanks to Ellie's drinks. We'll stay too if that's okay."
"I'd rather have us all safe." Ellie smiled before she started picking up the empty cups. "But I'm cold so can we go inside now?"
"Sure." Calum answered as we all followed Ellie inside.
Her parents had a giant pile of pillows & blankets folded up on the sofa.
"Uhm here. I can pull out the sofa bed." Ellie sort of stumbled as she walked over to take off the cushions. Everyone laughed at her. "Stop laughing at me!"
"Is Ellie drunk?" Ted asked her.
"No." She snapped. "I'm not. I'm buzzed but not drunk. I tripped on my own feet."
"Right..." I joked. "If you say so."
"I'm not!" She whined as she took the cushions off & then Trevor pulled out the bed. "Usually all three of these guys fit on here but someone can sleep on that chair too." She pointed to a giant chair. "& that sofa too could fit someone on it but it's shorter so you might not fit." She pointed to me. "You're too tall for that one I think but there's plenty of room on the floor too so do what you want. I'm going to go change & get my things from upstairs so I'll be back."
Ellie then skipped out of the room & then up the stairs to her bedroom, I could only assume.
"You guys can take the bed if you want." Ted spoke up. "I'm so tired that I'm fine with the floor."
"& I'm already down so I'm not getting back up." Trevor laughed. I looked over & he was wrapped in a blanket already on the floor.
"I get to cuddle with Trevor!" Ray called before he ran across the room & then laid beside him.
"I don't care." Ashton then said. "I'll sleep wherever."
"Same." I nodded in agreement.
Ashton ended up taking the small sofa since he could fit, Michael, Calum & I took the sofa bed & we left the chair for Ellie since Ted told us that's where she likes to sleep anyways.
Not too long after, Ellie came downstairs in this oversized Blink182 hoodie & shorts with a blanket over her shoulder & a pillow underneath her arm.
"Does everyone have everything they need?" She asked before she turned the light off. We all mumbled something along the lines of 'yea' & then she turned the light off before she curled up on the chair as we all drifted to sleep.
The next morning, we all woke up when we heard her parents getting ready. Her mom made us all coffee & then we cleaned up the rest of our drinks from outside before heading out.

So it was official, Ellie was my friend.
Except now, I think I wanted more.

A/N i think ellie is adorable. idk who i'd compare her to but in my head she's super cute.
my 21st birthday is in less than two weeks & i feel super old??? i'm planning my party now & i am going to be so old it's like?
