Once I walked into math, I handed the teacher my note. She smiled brightly and said, "I'm Ms. Jameson and welcome to Don E. Richardson High School. You can sit next to Paul. Paul raise your hand please." I walked toward Paul and took out all the things I should need for this class. Once Ms, Jameson went on with the lesson I took notes. I normally don't take notes but math is extremely hard for me. Paul snickered.

"New kid's taking notes," Paul whispered loud enough for me to hear.

"What a dork," Another voice replied. I ignored them and kept writing notes.

"Seth. What are you doing?" Ms. Jameson asked.

"Taking notes..," I answered. The room erupted into laughter.  Ms. Jameson and I weren't laughing. What's so funny about taking notes? "Was it my accent?" I asked. Ms. Jameson let out a loud whistle and the class stopped.

"That's better," Ms. Jameson said. She went back to the board and continued teaching as if nothing happened.

For the rest of the class period people kept throwing notes at me saying "Still taking notes British Boy?" or "Hey nerd! Mind doing my homework!?" and childish things like that. I officially hated that class and everyone in it. I'm surprised some people didn't even spell British right! How are they in high school?  I glanced at the clock praying that the bell would ring. Instead, the door opened. My attention turned toward the front of the room where the girl I saw in the hall walked in. She sat down in front of me.

Stop staring at her you idiot. I thought. It took everything in me to not stare. Once I did she turned around.

"Oh hey British dude! I didn't know you were in this class," She said. "Ummm... Can I borrow a pencil?"

"Borrow or have?" I asked.

"Eeerrr... Have," She said smiling her adorable smile. I handed her the pencil I was using. "Thanks British dude!" She then messed up my hair good thing I could care less.

"Jamie! Keep your hands to yourself!" Ms. Jameson snapped. So her name is Jamie.

"What is this? Preschool?" Jamie questioned.

"Elizabeth!" Ms. Jameson growled. Her face was turning red. I half expected to see steam coming out if her ears.

"Oh no! You used my first name!! I'm so scared!!" Jamie said sarcastically. The class laughed.

"You..," Ms. Jameson growled. By now I was waiting for the steam to come out of her ears.

"Are awesome? I know," Jamie said. Just then the bell rung and Jamie was the first one out. Maybe this class won't be so bad.

I slowly made my way to my next class, French. Why on earth would I need to learn French? It’s not like I'm going to France or anything. Why would I? I've been there 12 times with my parents. My mom always translates stuff to us.

I stopped my rant as soon as someone bumped into me.

"Oh! Sorry!" She said.

"It’s alright." I said smiling.

"So you’re the new British guy!" She said. I frowned. What’s that suppose to mean? "What I mean is... You’re as handsome as everyone says." I could feel my face heating up.

"Well! I have to see you around!" I said walking away as fast as I could. I have to see you around? Boy, I'm an idiot! I walked into French class and sat in the back row. Some... person with long black hair and black clothes were sitting next to me. We made eye contact.

"First day?" The person asked. The person was either a guy or some girl with a deep voice... I'm just going guess the person is a boy. I nodded, answering his question. "You’re going to regret going to this school. I hate everyone here except a few friends."

"Why?" I asked.

"You'll see, you'll see," He said staring blankly at the board. I turned my attention to the board also and realized that class had started.

When French class was over, I went to my art class.  I was pretty early since my French class was across from my art class. The teacher looked up when I opened the door.

"You new?" She asked.

"Yes," I answered.

"I'm Ms. Jackson. You can call me Rebecca though. I feel old when people call me Ms," She said smiling warmly.

"I'm Seth," I said. It took me awhile to realize that music was playing. I could tell it was Florence and The Machine. My mom used to listen to Florence and The Machine a few years ago. That was the only way we'd bond. By listening to music. Then Savannah's pageants started to get bigger, and bigger. Eventually mom and I stopped bonding. But that doesn't mean I stopped listening to Florence and The Machine.

"Drumming song?" I asked.

"Yup!" Rebecca said. She got up and started to dance to the song. I couldn't help but laugh. "There's a drumming noise inside my head. That throws me to the ground. I swear that you should hear it. It makes such an all mighty sound" Rebecca sung loudly. Her voice wasn't that bad.

"Louder than sirens. Louder than bells. Sweeter than heaven. And hotter than hell," I sung with her.

"This is so going on YouTube!" I heard someone say along with some laughter. I froze. About 5 boys where at the door way with their phones out. Rebecca stopped dancing and shook her head at the boys.

"You guys better be happy I'm an awesome teacher. Otherwise, I'd take away your phones," Rebecca said shaking her head. All the boys walked to a desk. I went to an empty one which was next to a girl who was reading a book. I glanced around. She was the only girl in the class, besides Rebecca. About half a second later, the bell rung.

"Alright! Today you’re going to be drawing something that has to do with a rose," Rebecca announced as she passed out paper. "Then you’re going to either going to paint it or sculpt it. You have all week so take your time. Any questions?" No one raised their hand. "Alright! Get started!"

I started to draw random things that have roses in it.

"You should do that one," The girl next to me said, pointing to the one of my drawings. "That's really good."

"You really think so?" I asked. She nodded.

"It's better than mine..," She mumbled. She showed me her drawing. It was a very very, very detailed rose.

"No! No! No! Yours is amazing! It’s a million times better than mine!" I said. She blushed slightly.

"No it isn't," She argued softly.

"Trust me, it is," I said smiling. She blushed even more.

"Seth! No flirting!" Rebecca teased. I chuckled and went back to drawing. When class was almost over, I handed Rebecca my drawing.

"Umm... Seth... Do you mind if I show this as an example to my other classes?" Rebecca asked not taking her eyes off my paper.

"Sure," I said.

"This is amazing." I heard Rebecca mumble.

"Told ya!" The girl next to me, whose name was ironically Rose, said. I just shrugged. Soon the bell rung.

"Where's the P.E room?" I asked Rose as I got my things.

"Here, I'll walk you there." Rose said.

"Thanks." I said. The walk to P.E. was quiet. But not awkward.

"See ya tomorrow!" Rose said, waving. I waved back and walked into the boy’s locker room.

In P.E. we played dodge ball. I mostly hid from the balls since throwing is not one of my strong suits. After P.E. I ran into Jamie who asked me to sit with her at lunch. I couldn't say no. After all, I knew no one. I had no friends.... And I wanted to make a few friends.

"Alright, this is Paul, Mason, Jason, and Nick," Jamie explained. The 4 boys waved when their names were called.

"This is Seth but I and ONLY I call him British dude."

"So, Seth. What do you think of the school?" Jason asked.

"It's OK.. I guess..," I said shrugging.

"What's your favorite class?" Nick asked.

"Art," I answered.

"Art?" Paul asked in disbelief.

"Is that a bad thing?" I asked.

"Dude! Are you gay or something?" Mason asked.

"What?! No!" I exclaimed.

"There's nothing wrong with art," Nick said.

"Yeah! At least British dude has the balls to admit it," Jamie agreed. "Unlike some one! Cough NICK cough."

"You know your suppose to fake cough and not say the word cough right?" Mason asked.

"So?" Jamie asked.

"True..," Mason said.

The rest of the day was blur. It turns out, the rest for the rest of my classes I had Jamie. Along with a few of the guys that I had lunch with. I hate to say it... But maybe school isn't that bad.
