Diana couldn't believe what she just heard at that moment
"wait.. what did you just said?" Diana asked Smith as she was unable to believe her own ears
"Well.. I have just asked for your diary. if you have any issues so just let it go.. " Smith said as he thought she might got offended
"oh.. OK.. well yeah.. I have a sort of diary.. umm.. OK I will bring it tomorrow" Diana was not getting enough words in her mind to communicate
"ok see you then" Smith smiled
"when??" she asked unconsciously
"haha tomorrow.. " Smith laughed and went out of the class room
are you in your senses Diana?? why the hell did you asked when... you are simply impossible
Diana picked her bag up and left the class room

Diana went to her room as quickly as possible she shut the door and threw her bag on floor and sat down on her bed..
what is going in your mind Diana?? what the hell you were thinking while talking to smith.. you have to control this as it will lead you nowhere..
She kept on telling herself not to think about Smith, yet it was seemed to be impossible so far.. She took out his diary and start reading from where it was left. As she was reading she could feel Smith's presence all around her. It gave her a comfortable feeling, a feeling she was never aware of. she used to think how it would feel if she ever fall in love and there she was confused was it actually love or not. She kept on reading his diary, a couplet filled with happiness brightens her face whereas a couplet with griefs brought tears to her eyes.. she kept on touching the words as she wanted them to speak to her to let her know why did he wrote such sad couplets in his diary. He seemed to be quite jolly in the class room but his collection was telling a different story. She could imagine as if Smith was writing those words in his diary with eyes filled with tears. She got an urge to wipe them away. She felt so helpless and anxious to comfort him to let him know that he need not to be sad.
She was feeling a roller coaster of emotions inside her. A feeling of joy that Smith wanted to have her diary, sadness was there as she couldn't bear the tears in Smith's eyes.. a moment of confusion querying her about his past.
what if there was some other girl who had left him and that's why he was feeling so miserable.. what if its Lisa and he didn't have guts to tell her... what if..........
and with all these "what ifs" she fell asleep

The very next morning Diana woke up and started to get ready for school. she put her books in her bag and suddenly she remembered about the diary that Smith had asked. She opened her wardrobe where she used to hide her diary.
Diana was kind of private person, she didn't like it if someone tried to get into her personal stuff such as her personal belongings like her diary, her bag, her wardrobe. She was quite sensitive about the things belonged to her and so did with her relations. She was very possessive about her family and also didn't like if anyone wanted to know or took interest in her personal life..
She took out her diary from the wardrobe and sat down on her bed and gazing back at the diary..
Shall I allow Smith to read it??
she was writing this diary since she was in sixth grade. It was quite hard decision for her. she never allowed anyone to get to know her that much. She knew very well that poetry reflects the personality of a person and that's why she was afraid of letting him read it. It was just as she was giving her own secrets to him. She took a deep breath and decided to give him diary. she wanted to break the walls she had built around herself. Moreover she wanted at least someone who could understand her, as the behavior of Lisa and her friends was getting more annoying day by day. She was in need of a shelter, where she could spend some time enjoying and smiling.. she smiled as she looked at the diary in her hand. she knew what she was doing.
