A letter in the English language
With a strange purpose
It seems overused
Trailed onto the ends of words
Where it seemingly doesn’t belong
Yet little do we realize
It makes all of the difference
“can” becomes “cane”
“ban” becomes “bane”
Ability is different from a crutch
Forbiddance is unlike ruin
What a strange little letter
Seemingly unimportant
But dramatically needed
It may not make a sound of its own when alone
But it has the power to change the tone of all those around it
