You run into the bathroom, too happily.
"Hello, miss peppy," Patrick said, fixing his hair.
"You don't know why I'm peppy!" You say, messing up his hair.
"Why?" Patrick asked.
"Wait, you seriously don't know?" You ask, shocked.
"No," Patrick admits.
Your smile fades and you walk out of the bathroom.
"(Y/N), what's today?!" Patrick frantically asked.
He pulls out his phone and looks at the calendar.
"Shit," Patrick mumbles to himself.
He walks into the bedroom, where you are huddled up under the blankets.
"I'm sorry, (Y/N)," Patrick says. "I didn't remember today was our anniversary."
"Don't be sorry," you say. "You have a concert today anyways."
Patrick sits on the bed and rolls you onto your side. "I'm really sorry."
"Just go get ready, and leave me be," you say.
Patrick gets up and walks out of the bedroom.
The FoB concert was about to start. Patrick was still saddened by the thought of letting you down. Especially on your anniversary.
"Patrick, come on," Joe said.
"I can't," Patrick admitted.
"It's too late," Joe replied. "We have to get out there."
"No," Patrick insisted. "Tell everyone to come back tomorrow. I've got something really important I gotta do."
"We ca-" Joe started to say, but Patrick was already out of there. He was making his way to you.
When he got to the house, Patrick sees you've gone out for awhile. With the time he had he sets things up for a special surprise.
You arrive home and see the lights dimmed. You look down and see a path made from flower petals. (SO TACKY. #SORRYNOTSORRY)
You follow them through the living room and through the kitchen. They lead to the backyard.
There you see lights hung in the trees. And a little table.
Suddenly, you feel someone hug you from behind.
"I'm really sorry (Y/N)," Patrick whispers into your ear.
You turn around and look at Patrick. "I'm not mad anymore. I mean, who even cares about our anniversary?! I only got so mad because, we've loved each other for such a long time and I was starting to think you've forgotten that."
Patrick let out a little laugh. "I'd never forget that I love you."
"Yeah, I guess," you say with a smile.
"Now, this should all be worth it," Patrick says. "because I just canceled a show for you."
"Trust me, it will be," you say, and kiss Patrick on the cheek.
You two have a nice dinner and then watch a movie whilst cuddling.
